I would imagine an older car without all the computers, sensors etc is actually easier to maintain and run in the zombie apocalypse. Plus more parts available out in that area.

They do after all need to resupply redshirts. Also, the Governor wants the prison because it's easily defensible, but no one considers that the prison being easily defensible makes taking it hard as hell?

Surely don't expect a "run and hide" by the guv.. This will be a battle to the end... I haven't read past this part of the book so pure speculation on my part but...

I see "the end" being Rick and the survivors take off running with whatever they have available to them and the Guv and whoever survives from his group to take over the prison.

Then again, the guv and many of the attackers could die, but do enough damage to the fences and the walls of the prison to make Rick realize the Prison is no longer a safe haven..

This will bring back what has basically been left in the wind... the radio transmission.... and the group deciding to head out and find where the transmission came from.

lots of ways this could end.. but a mid-season cliff hanger is all but a guarantee.

I actually think this is all completely plausible.

I doubt it.. I can't find the article now, but last week they discussed with the producers about the mid-season finale and they said it was the biggest production episode they had done..

Said they spent more time for this one episode then they do normally for 2 episodes..

a) Seems to be a lot higher than 90%

b) There are plenty of issues with the zombies, but I'll accept that there was a plague that zombified the population at face value.

Well this may be specific to the M1 engine, as its not a normal internal combustion engine. Its a gas turbine (basically a jet engine, similar to a plane engine but without the big fan section). More information below. They also make reference to the use of different types of fuels (although i think i've heard of them using more then just whats listed).

Their tank is an M-60. It runs off normal gas station Diesel. Still, though, an M-60??? There are no active or reserve US Army units stil using M-60s. Hell, we have extra M1s in storage because that whole "war with Russia" never happened.

They managed to get an M-1 in Atlanta for season 1. All the sudden this is turning into a 1980s James Garner movie.

This was the hardest thing to believe in the episode. They don't run into anyone for a long time and went they do find people it's immediately attacked by another group? And they don't hear anything? C'mon...

I think Carl is becoming one of the more interesting characters. I think the kid who plays him does a very good job, especially now that he's getting older. Let's face it, most kids that are his age when the show began suck at acting, as he did his first year or so. But he's getting better, and in turn is making his character more believeable and interesting. I'll be anxious to see where the writers take his character.
