How can anyone say this was a solid episode?
Out of all of the houses in the world...these guys come to Rick's house...awesome.
We have Rick hiding under a bed...then, after the guys fight...another guy jumps on the bed and sleeps...Rick decides to slide out the only side that has the guy's foot dangling from it. Then, end up ducking into a bathroom because a guy comes upstairs only to find a guy on the toilet...instant struggle and NO ONE in the house hears all this ruckus...banging, kicking, fighting, knocking stuff down.
Rick slips outside and here comes Carl and Michonne...thankfully new dude doesn't see them....but we need to pull him away...oh, I know...instant zombie in the house that everyone has been hanging out in for days...ugh.
Now, cause Rick didn't cut the throats of those sleeping dudes and take the gun and kill the other two...we're gonna have this crew chasing them for a while.
Handlebar mustache follows Glenn down the road...so does hotbody...leaving "the most intelligent and important man on the planet" all by himself.
Super genius "accidentally" shoots and kills the truck...how long before we find out this was somehow his plan?
Why would Michonne feel it necessary to keep Carrrl from finding out about the dead family? The kid has seen untold horrors...is it really a big deal at this point? "Hey Carl...dead family in this room...looks like they offed themselves...consider it cleared."
How does that conversation between the lesbian and handlebar mustache even happen? I know why I'm here...why she's here...what he's doing and that guy's motivation...but why are you wanting to take this guy to D.C.? I don't know...maybe because I'm TIRED OF THINGS TRYING TO BITE ME! It's completely unnatural and contrived.
1. To the first bolded part about the zombie being instantly in the house. It's obvious to me that the zombie in the house is the guy he killed in the bathroom. Before Rick went out the window he opened the bathroom door knowing that the dead guy would turn into a zombie helping to create a distraction.
2. To me the second bolded part is obvious as well. Carl has lost his mother and he thinks he has lost his baby sister. So to me Michonne is trying to keep Carl out of there from seeing the dead family especially considering that he has been upset about losing his baby sister even though we know she is alive he does not yet.
This was a good episode in my opinion.
