Well that was a yawner.

Other than Rick, Carl and Michonne headed to Sanctuary and telling us what Abraham's deal was there wasn't much to get excited about in this episode.
Agreed, I like the last two a lot better. Not much going on and we didn't really need more Michonne/Carl bonding.
Basically Michonne/Carl bonding didn't tell us a whole lot. Rick being trapped under a bed for most of the episode ended up resulting in nothing. There were about 5 minutes of advancing the storyline in this episode. I agree this was a huge drop-off after two great episodes to kick off the second half of the season.

Well I guess they can't all be gems.
Yep, it was too much filler.

Also, is Abraham that dumb that he thinks that guy will save the world or is he just trying to humor his buddy/have a purpose that keeps him going?
I'm assuming we'll find out more about what Abraham's deal is and what his ties to Eugene are.
Eugene reminds me of Rain Man

I have a feeling I know what the end result will be, well at least for Eugene, no idea on Abraham.

I also thought the whole Rick vs. bad guys and having to kill or be killed was a rehash of what was done much better in Season 2 with "Nebraska."

LOL, I was thinking the same thing as your post above and switched the channel. This was the first Talking Dead in a while that I just turned off. It isn't a must watch, but I am always working after the show and it can be decent in the background. This one was completely boring and had no substance at all.

Also, agree on the Season 2 episode, much, much better scene with the outside bad guys. There is only so long that Rick hiding under the bed and going from to the next room and ducking back in can last. The toilet scene was OK, but just nothing like when he popped one guy in the head and then the fat guy. That was awesome, this was meh.

I really like Mindy Kaling  but this is terrible tonight.

I'm nowhere near as hardcore about this show as the rest of you, so excuse me if this is a stupid question:

The guy in the bathroom; was that the first living person Rick has killed?

Not as strong as the previous 2. I have not read the comics so I wouldn't consider this a spoiler and just my own thoughts, but Eugene has to be a fraud. Classified, really?

I don't read the comics either, but that is my exact thought. The classified comment was funny, more so because I couldn't believe none of the other characters seemed to notice or question it. I sort of like Abraham's character, but assuming he is either ridiculously gullible or "wants" to believe he is doing something important.

How can anyone say this was a solid episode?

Out of all of the houses in the world...these guys come to Rick's house...awesome.

We have Rick hiding under a bed...then, after the guys fight...another guy jumps on the bed and sleeps...Rick decides to slide out the only side that has the guy's foot dangling from it. Then, end up ducking into a bathroom because a guy comes upstairs only to find a guy on the toilet...instant struggle and NO ONE in the house hears all this ruckus...banging, kicking, fighting, knocking stuff down.

Rick slips outside and here comes Carl and Michonne...thankfully new dude doesn't see them....but we need to pull him away...oh, I know...instant zombie in the house that everyone has been hanging out in for days...ugh.

Now, cause Rick didn't cut the throats of those sleeping dudes and take the gun and kill the other two...we're gonna have this crew chasing them for a while.

Handlebar mustache follows Glenn down the road...so does hotbody...leaving "the most intelligent and important man on the planet" all by himself.

Super genius "accidentally" shoots and kills the truck...how long before we find out this was somehow his plan?

Why would Michonne feel it necessary to keep Carrrl from finding out about the dead family? The kid has seen untold horrors...is it really a big deal at this point? "Hey Carl...dead family in this room...looks like they offed themselves...consider it cleared."

How does that conversation between the lesbian and handlebar mustache even happen? I know why I'm here...why she's here...what he's doing and that guy's motivation...but why are you wanting to take this guy to D.C.? I don't know...maybe because I'm TIRED OF THINGS TRYING TO BITE ME! It's completely unnatural and contrived.

1. To the first bolded part about the zombie being instantly in the house. It's obvious to me that the zombie in the house is the guy he killed in the bathroom. Before Rick went out the window he opened the bathroom door knowing that the dead guy would turn into a zombie helping to create a distraction.

2. To me the second bolded part is obvious as well. Carl has lost his mother and he thinks he has lost his baby sister. So to me Michonne is trying to keep Carl out of there from seeing the dead family especially considering that he has been upset about losing his baby sister even though we know she is alive he does not yet.

This was a good episode in my opinion.

Its pretty obvious that Ford is gullible and looking for a reason to live and the "scientist" is crazy. But you know....everything is awesome! Everything is cool when you're part of a team!

I wished there was some sense on guys turning...seems like some die and don't turn for a long while...then others turn the instant they die. However, that's the only thing that makes sense of the instant zombie in house. Although...to make that damned zombie...it took a crap ton of noise that no one hears?

Yes, I thought it odd nobody heard the struggle.

They may have heard it and thought the guy was having a rough bowel movement, Austin Powers style.

I agree about the noise thing. I would have thought someone would have heard the fight in the bathroom. To me this is nothing more than a fantasy fiction show so I don't watch these shows looking to critique every little scene.

So now everyone is ok with Rick juat killing a guy because they found his house? I like how on his td interview Rick says that the only people who are survivors are killers, rapists and scavengers, totally ignoring his own group being out there too.

Think it was hearing of the pending gang-rape of Michonne that made his decision easy.

Um, there were two possible zombies in the house. The first was choked out who saw Rick under the bed. The other was the one Rick killed. The first one was "dead" for some time so it was not instant turn.

Some people just like to #####, and some just like to moan. I laugh at both.

I thought the guy in the bedroom was dead too, but they said on TD that he was still breathing.

:lmao: He better be because after all of these years of surviving he still has no idea how to shoot!

:goodposting: complaining about "Instant Zombie" goes back to the post a few weeks back about "having the show on but not really watching it".

My first reaction to Rick stopping to open the bathroom door was "WTF ? "

Then hearing the shooting in the house I realized he planned the zombie attack all along.

This episode, IMO, was  OK, but liked the first 2 after the break more then this one.. Just too much "nothing" going on this week.

What was he supposed to do , let them take Michonne family-style and slip away with Carl or wait their turn?
