Stupid Walking Dead facebook page posts RIP Beth at 10pm basically spoiling for everyone who hasnt watched it. Even west coasters. Awful
If I'm even remotely behind, I don't even get on Facebook or Twitter until I've watched. I follow too many people who talk about it.
yeah that was my fault but how about the west coast people?
I'd think that rule applies to them also. Unless it's a live event, I'm sure they're used to it.
They should have waited min 24 hours to post anything. There's a way to to post about the show without spoiling it for half the country. The worst part is it wasn't just a word post but a huge photo with RIP beth on it. They deleted it and someone is in trouble tomorrow morning.
How about you watch the show and stay off of Facebook for an hour. Too difficult?
The show didn't air in half the country. Let alone the rest of the world. Is it so hard for the official page to not post a huge spoiler like that 1 minute after the show ends?

I'm not a spoiler nazi but at least wait till after the west coast show airs.

That said, shows do this all the time, if you aren't in the east cost time slot, you better be careful of your social media if you like a popular show. Not saying it's right but it's the way it is right now.

So when Rick first meets with the cops and proposes the prisoner exchange I guess Daryl and Sasha became invisible? :lmao:
Really? Just stop, there are any number of explanations for that. If you want to complain, complain about how Dawn's gun was holstered when Beth stabbed her yet it suddenly was in her hand and went off "accidentally". Not to mention the makeup job for the bullet entry hole, on her forehead? Wouldn't it be under her chin based on the angle? But that Daryl and Dasha aren't in the camera shot on top of the garage from below its really petty.

So are the two things I posted, really, they don't really bother me, just two things I noticed. So just stop.

Oh come on. There is no way those two would be visible just behind Rick. It's just lazy directing/editing.

So what? And I'm assuming you meant "wouldn't". It's immaterial to the episode.

Yes "wouldn't ". Never said it was important to the plot but just another example of how sloppy this show is.

Again so what? Why bother posting it expect to get a reaction? I don't see this as sloppy, there are any number of reasons they weren't in that shot.

Not gonna go down that road with you, I've fed the "troll" too long. You'll just dispute any reason I post anyways.

It was 95% downloaded for me when someone posted a FB spoiler. Bi###es, man.

Also, the file I got ended before the Morgan

scene. Recap, anyone?
Morgan tracks dumb preachers movements from the school to the church. Does his own little personal memorial service in the church. Cleans up a bit. As he is picking up a few things in the church he finds Eugene's map message to rick and recognizes the name "rick grimes". His face gets serious. Then Maggie appears naked, crying, and desperate to be held.

Solid ending.

So they had no way to leave the church after they boarded it up? There only method of entry or exit was supposed to be chopping down the door?

The plan was to fortify themselves until Rick and the gang got back.. Unfortunately for them the Preacher had some idiotic reason to go on an adventure to see for himself that the group they killed earlier deserved it..

At this point the mid season finale could have had Tyreese and the Preacher die and it would have worked. No need for the drama of "what will the group become after Beth's Death" to drive people back in February..

In fact take those two out and you might bring in more fans ;)

Lets get to a place where we start to find out what might have caused this. Maybe have them mutate or them find a different horde. I know the creators of the show have said this isn't a show about zombies but it seems we are in a rut with the stab to the head being about all we see or know of the zombies right now.

I'm not wanting to recreate anything but the last big news along the lines of what I am talking about was learning that everyone was already infected.
This is what I am talking about. Yea, in an apocalypse I understand people would be buttwads. But dangit, they made the theme zombies. Use them as something other than an excuse for people to be ####ty to each other.
The theme isn't zombies, the setting is zombies. Big difference.
He has a point. The show can get stuck in a rut where the group meets a new group, has a conflict with them, and then win while maybe absorbing a few new members. They've done it with the CDC, the farm, the prison, woodbury, woodbury part 2 with the tank, the "claimed" group, and now probably Terminus as well. They need to change something up. Its why I predict next season will see different factions within the Terminus group and one of them will open the boxcar and let Rick's group escape. Its the same story repeated.
Yep.

This is where the show has lost some flavor for me.

After 4 seasons were still in the "find a place to set up camp, settle in and survive day/day mode"

Would like to see a means to an end somewhat....A long term plan the show can lead us to an end. Whether someone say let's find an island and put our roots down and start a new world. You can get a couple more seasons of them trekking to the coast or whatever with some more drama along the way or a means to an end with a cure. Perhaps this is mullet dude angle.

The comics throws this off for me because I don't know what their plan for the show is in relation to the comics.

The show is in total cash cow mode now so it wouldn't shock me if they want to ride this for 4 more seasons and just continue repeating similar storylines,

I would be fine with it IF they were pressing towards an end but they are like Moses in the dessert with the Jews for 40 years. Lot's of roaming around going nowhere and a lot of btiching and complaining.
Will just bump my post from after season 4 as I feel we are right back where we started.

S5A was pretty good on it's own but looking at the bigger picture again, I am just overall disappointed we don't have an end to the show in sight.

Could end next half-season. In 5A we learn that nobody is who they were before the apocalypse, and even police can't be trusted (humanity is screwed).. Foreshadowing 5B where the group decides to ride the firetruck up to D.C. anyway and is executed by Kevin Spacey and Michelle Obama.

I think we all know that humanity bounces back even stronger from plagues and catastrophies. There definitely wouldn't be an 18 month devolution. I think this show has been built to go until ratings drive it in to the ground.

Another strong mid-season finale. This show does not disappoint with those episodes. All four of them have been terrific. Not surprised that Beth was offed but still sad to see her go. The look on Rick's face when he realized she'll never wear his hat again was heartbreaking. I'm not sure he comes back from that.

Don't know who mentioned it before but Rick's definitely got the bloodlust in his veins. His "No going back Bob" was ice cold.

Sucks to have to wait so long for the next episode.

They better add another hot chick in the second half of the season. We are dangerously low on them now.
Don't know if this really deserves a spoiler tag but I'll use one just to be on the safe side.

I've seen some interviews with Alanna Masterson and she's hinted at getting a love interest in the second half of the season

From what I know about the comics there is no end game. Haven't they been going on for 10 years? If so, I don't think the show needs to be heading down that road anytime soon. Given its immense popularity and (in my opinion) the continued strength of the storytelling I don't think the show needs to have an end game in mind right now. At some point that will be necessary since no show lasts forever. But this has always been a show about daily survival. Given the format, there's no reason for the writers to be concerned about how it should end right now in my opinion or preparing the groundwork for any of that.

I actually think he's trying to find a little balance. He lets the rest of the gang talk him into compromise and peaceful solutions when possible. But, like was said on Talking Dead, he's definitely in "one strike and you're out" mode.

Yeah it's like Daryl has morphed into his voice of morality. Rick's not so far gone (like Shane was) that he can't be pulled back into reasonable discussion. But like Shane his first instinct now is to kill first and ask questions later.

So when Rick first meets with the cops and proposes the prisoner exchange I guess Daryl and Sasha became invisible? :lmao:
Really? Go away, there are any number of explanations for that. I don't normally pick apart this show, but I'm with Malloy on this one. That didn't make sense. The black cop looking around like "where did that shot come from???" was weird.

The preacher's actions were also annoying but I can accept that dumb characters do dumb things.

Maggie's going to lose it :(
It was one thing to know your sister was kidnapped to be raped/tortured/killed but it's another to know she's been killed.
so sad....and after she just ;learned that she had a sister
Spoilers! http://tinyurl.com/nayvzvk

TVLINE | Some fans are wondering why Maggie hasn’t expressed much concern about the whereabouts of her possibly-alive sister prior to tonight’s episode. What’s your theory about that?

It’s a world where they’re losing people a lot. And if you’re going to survive, you can’t sit around mourning for very long. And just because we don’t see those scenes, doesn’t mean those are things that Maggie isn’t going through. You didn’t see a lot of Beth in Season 2 or Season 3, but I was imagining all along what she was feeling and thinking. So just because we don’t see Maggie being upset about where Beth is, that doesn’t mean it’s not on her mind.

Wait.. are we complaining that the cops on the ground couldn't see the shooters on the roof

I thought Malloy was talking about the actual exchange in the hospital, but even then I wasn't paying full attention if they vanished or what as he claims..

Don't see an issue there( the roof ) if that is it.. why would the cops be searching the roofs at that point.. their biggest concern is what is around them on the ground..

I sorta lost track, did anyone from the hospital group choose to come with Gang o' Rick? Is Noah sticking with them after Dawn's unfortunate accident made him a free agent?

Noah was part of the group that walked out of the hospital. So he's sticking.

Didn't see anyone else leave with them.

Noah was it.. everyone else stayed which makes sense.. wander the earth with people you don't know, or stay where so far other then the :loco: in the hospital itself pretty safe from walkers..

HINT: There is no end in sight. Not for these characters. Why would there be for the viewers?

One thing that bothered me temporarily was that after Carol moved and woke up in the hospital the next scene was the prisoner exchange with Beth pushing Carol in the wheelchair. I turned to my wife and exclaimed about feeling robbed of a a scene where Carol sees Beth alive. The reunions are some of my favorite parts of the show. I guess it makes sense since they killed Beth right after, or maybe that would have made it hit even harder had they just made a big deal of those two reuniting.

Seems like the "stay with us" offer from the hospital cop should have at least been considered. Rick would step into the vacated leader role and make some changes.

It's relatively safe, they have generators, and the potential to help people. Sounds pretty appealing.

But they just saw Beth get shot in the head, so I understand walking away.
