About the tornado. Fantastical things happen all the time in movies and shows. A ton of movies have been made about natural disasters and the characters of those of course survive against great odds. It is possible the tornado wiped out all the zombies breaking in the barn without actually touching the barn, no. But for the sake of the show, why not. The problem is they didn't SHOW IT. Instead they cut scene out the most dramatic part of the night and instead took up the hour with a bunch of boo hooing and music boxes. Totally lame, they should air this during the daytime with all the other soap operas.

Ok sure, but what kind of standard are we holding the show to?

I don't think anyone went to see any of the disaster movies expecting realism. This is the highest rated show on television, think about that. It has better ratings that Breaking Bad had during any point. Maybe it's just me, but I would think the writing should surpass that of cheesy disaster flicks. Besides, a lot of these are very obvious to a lot of people -- hire 5 people to screen the shows and let them pick the stupid things apart.

They could probably save more budget by simply holding up a cue card with text:"Our intrepid heroes get stuck in a zombinado. Hope against hope...they must band together now more than ever."

Fade to black and then fade back in with everyone waking up like they did at the end of this episode.

Apologists and fanboys would still fall all over themselves to explain the use of cue cards in this case.

"The use of cue cards was a brilliant stroke...instead of force feeding the viewer everything it causes the viewer to take a more active role. Pure genius!"

A fantastical premise doesn't excuse the quality of the writing and execution, it makes it that much more important.

The water in the road would be a useful tripwire. Zombies just plow it over like bowling balls but people would likely just take it. It's good to know what is in the area.

I'm with you on this one. I thought it was totally unrealistic when they used wires with empty cans to make noise when perfectly good water bottles would have sufficed. The writing on this show is terrible. I know its about zombies guys but at least use common sense when you devise detection techniques.

That's not what I mean. If your goal is to detect humans then trip wires will give you a false positive when a zombie trips it. Humans would, theoretically, stop for water in the road.

If you have several roads in your area dropping some water will if nothing else let you know there are humans nearby, and even if you intend to eat them you can always claim you are the nice guy that laid out water for you to find at first till you can get them tied up and ready to be eaten.

What you really want in this situation is a bright red thick trip rope. Than the humans will see it and step right over it whereas your zombie walker types'll plow right into it.Of course, if you're looking to nab a human this way, you'll have to be watching when it all goes down. So what you need to do is to set up a tripwire up the road a ways to warn you that something's approaching your trip rope, so you can put down your baby or your lawn mower or your electric shaver or whatever and go check out what's going on before whoever or whatever it is gets to your trip rope.

I liked the last episode as well. Thought the music box was a great tool to symbolize the hope and mystery of a "good guy" showing up all of a sudden. The episode also tried to show on film the internalized struggles of these people wandering around.

You know what was a good show? The A Team. You know how much symbolism that had? If BA Baracus going all Mr. T on you is symbolic then tons. I want a show about characters I love but I don't need to know more that Face is a playboy who smokes cigars and Murdock has an imaginary dog. I am in it for rolling around in a van capping zombies and seeing hot chicks in torn clothes.

You know what I want? I want to see Rick symbolically bite out more peoples throats, a kid looking at symbolic flowers before a bullet lobotomy and Sofia's zombie being put down as a symbol of the way things are now.

I don't need magic tornados with crappily squashed zombie aftermath and a damn music box.

Wasn't aware of this, all the website says is autograph = $40, one to one photo op = $55. I'll dig deeper or make a call and find out if they offer posed shots.

I was pretty excited to finally remember to get tickets to this thing (sells out every year (Emerald City)), I hear they've become a pretty good time for casual comic guys like me, and the eye candy is getting better year after year. Realizing it's on the day of the season finale has me pretty amped and considering going all the way with costume and shtick instead of just as a guest.

I enjoyed it. Very tense. Why is every show compelled to have gay characters in it? 6% of he population is gay yet 100% of tv shows have gay characters? It just seems strange. Anyway, i liked the fake Topher Grace character. I guess next week they audition.
