It's a self sustaining community, duh. The helium is actually methane gas harnessed by the pooter collectors installed in all of the toilets.

Rick in his mind has superior morals. He is the U.S. He invades and lays the law down. Now his morals are slipping, but he's still the U.S.

 
A lot of this has already been said, but oh well. A few thoughts:

1) The transformation of Rick into Shane has been pretty heavy-handed, as others has pointed out. Almost felt like Rick's mannerisms and cadence during some of the stuff he was saying post-fight with the doc were a full-blown Shane impersonation. Also, the doc knocking his wife out of the way in the fight, then Rick knocking Carl out of the way... I guess that says a lot of where both men are at, mentally. This has all made Rick less likable, for me. Though, to Rick's credit, he didn't bite off the doc's thumb or gouge his eyes... so, he didn't go fully primal, like he is capable of.

2) Rick's feelings for Jessie were developed too quickly, for TV purposes. Seems a bit forced. I think if it were developed over a few more episodes, I might be more understanding of his pitch to "remove" the threat of the abusive hubby. The way it played out, it seems like he has some weird infatuation with her, and that she is willing to let him move into the picture as possibly a lesser of two evils.

3) Rick has PTSD, obviously, as do most of his team/family members, sadly. Basically, all of the team/family has snapped or been very close.

Let's not forget that when Shane took out Otis,he was on a mission to save Carl and perhaps by extension prove his worth to Lori.The use of identical phrasing from the congresswoman to Rick that Rick used on Shane is definitely done on purpose to cement the Shane-ification of Rick.

Pretty much the only thing missing from that scene was Rick screaming "It ain't like it was before" at Den Mom. I don't think there's any question we were supposed to think back to Rick vs. Shane during that scene and Rick's fight with Porch D**k. The parallels were numerous.

 
Those aren't W's on the walker's heads. It's a J and it's mirror image, and it stands for Jesse. Jesse has been dismembering walkers for a gigantic owl statue she is making out of body parts. Pete knows what is going on but she's too good of a lay for him to say anything which is why he's always drunk. Aiden and Nicholas didn't lose the previous 4 to walkers... they lost them to Jesse when she lured them to their deaths with her lovely eyes.

Alexandria solved. Season 6 up.

It's a zombie show so if that happened I would have to accept it as reasonable.

I thought the light Daryl saw was a small camp fire from a distance. The couple was out for some reason and the bad guys come up on their camp. But it could have been a flashlight.

 
My :2cents: on the finale:

W + zombies crash gates/get into Alexandria.

No gun policy + non combat ready population + Sasha away from the guard tower+ Darryl and Rick not (initially) available. All bets are off, the Grimes posse loses at least 3.

 
I like this contrast of Daryl/Aaron getting chummy, having no idea their respective factions are back at home fighting and plotting to kill.

Star crossed lovers? :whistle:

 
I have no basis, but I have a feeling Abraham goes out in a glorious death in the finale, saving a lot of Rick's group. He has been portrayed as a somewhat tragic character, and

I think giving up his life to save others will be his redemption.

Yeah, I'd hate to see Abe go but if he does I hope it is something like this.

 
Most of the alexandria members are pretty dull. When they blow out of a place they usually take one or two people with them. If you had to draft the likely people that continue on who would it be:

Jessie -450

Aaron -185

The mute girl +125

Wifebeater +1900

Senator and husband +1200

Mute girl that coral likes +225

Field+850

Little kid that wants cookies +325

No, I mean new cast members that were introduced this 1/2 season that go on to Season 6. They usually only take 1 or 2 people.

Noah left from the hospital because he was slave labor, they basically freed him. He might still be alive if he'd stayed back in his 'safe' situation, like the rest of the hospital group did, but that's besides the point.

I don't see anybody leaving Alexandria unless the wall goes down or something. They have a really nice set up there relatively, Aaron (and Nicholas) know that well.
