***OFFICIAL 'The Walking Dead' TV Series Thread*** (2 Viewers)

I think next season begins with Rick waking up in the hospital room back in Atlanta, when it's revealed he had dreamt all of the prior seasons while in his coma, which was caused when he was struck in the head at a Trump rally. The rest of the season follows him around as he tries to re-learn how to do basic math and feed himself.

Everything seems fine, until he arrives home and finds that no one has been mowing the grass.  He goes to the gas station, only to find out that all the gas in the world has gone bad.

As he throws his hands up in despair and screams at the sky, he wakes up in a hospital bed at the beginning of the zombie apocalypse.

Carl is starting to get angry on the show.  Perhaps the lack of internet porn or nudey mags for teens now is starting to take its toll.

I'm guessing it is Michonne. Going off the theory that it's the same person's POV throughout the episode, and that person was in the van and brought out AFTER the rest of the group arrived, it is either Daryl, Glenn, Rosita or Michonne. Based on the view when Dwight opens the doors, you can see the top of someone's head which would eliminate Daryl (in front and the first to be removed). The next person to be removed was Rosita and there was nobody in front of her so she is safe :pickle: .   That leaves either Glenn or Michonne. When the door opens, it looks like the head in front of our victim is very close to the wall of the camper which would make that person Daryl and the person behind him was Michonne,
You're talking about writers who write things like 180 degree van flips, dumpster retrieval and sidewinder bottle rockets.  You really think the POV matters to these people?

I strenuously object to the cliffhanger.

And to stumbling into the awaiting midnight parked lynch mob in the middle of a forest.

I vacillate on whether or not it'd be cool to live in a zombie apocalypse.  On one hand, not having to work, getting to just wander around taking stuff, and stabbing walkers would be pretty cool.  On the other hand, the constant threat of being bitten by a zombie, killed by another human, the threat of likely starvation and freezing, and the inability of the women folk to take a shower would be major turn offs.

I'm still undecided.

I spend way too much time daydreaming about this kind of thing.  Or as I lay my head down to sleep, it gives me something interesting to think about and it usually puts me to sleep pretty fast

I live about an hour or so away from the mountains in southern California.  I always contend that's where I'd go if anything like that (or an alien invasion, or something...) happened.  Most of the houses up there are vacation rentals so I'd probably be able to find one to "take control" of.   I imagine myself getting a big truck, packing the family up and raiding a Wal-Mart for as much bottled water and soup as possible.

:oldunsure:

The producers and writers of the show think you are all idiots who will spend all summer discussing who Negan killed.  Please stop proving them correct.  TIA.

The first day of summer isn't until June 20th, so we are OK to discuss until then, right?

I haven't thought this till somewhat recently, but it seems they stopped trying to make a good show and are trying to "throw off" the audience instead thinking it makes for good drama since they know how much this show is talked about on Talking Dead and social media, and numerous online articles.
Recently?

This is why I don't bother with this show after the Glen dumpster shimmy.

The goal is no longer to make a good dramatic zombie show. It's, "how can we keep people interested in the current zombie fad?"

Interest is already dying down.
For real...club them all.

And seriously though...how does it make sense to only kill one and act like Negan is all about justice?

They've setup the premise that they kill one automatically just to get the point across.

But then he goes on and on about how they killed his men and that just won't do so someone had to die.  Whatever guy...you kill someone anyway.

Now...if he killed two...that would make sense.  One because...that's just what we do.  And a second just because you killed my men.

Club 'em all at this point...stupid damn characters anyway.

I think it was 100% going to be Glen but then they decided to back off and defer.  Interested to see how they screw this up.
They already screwed it up. Glen is the boy who cried dead. They pretended to kill him to many times and now the shock value is gone. People will be like "ha ha dumpster crawl out of that one dude"

Oh I stopped giving a #### about who Negan killed about 1 minute after that fade out and realized I had been cheated. Every one of this idiot TV guys thinks they are the ARteest who is going to pull out he jarring "Who shot JR?" historic TV moment, and not one of them has to hubris to realize that that moment happened once, and in the end it was a bad idea that had to be reversed by a dream sequence. It was a finale I got no finale. It was like going to a fireworks show and at the end when the music ramps up and all the ground bombs go off just when you are ready for the splooge of fireworks the Goodyear blimp floats over with a flashing to be continued....that is not what my viewing dollars purchased sir. This is not a ### #### soap opera where the story grinds on every day, There is a start and a end to every season.

Is it just me, or did this finale get panned more or less universally?  Maybe it's confirmation bias on my part, but it seems like almost all of the commentary related to the last episode was about how horrible and poorly-conceived it was.  The Who-Did-Negan-Kill issue feels like sort of an afterthought.

Have not seen a single positive review on it. So I think it is pretty universal, yea.

My favorite part of this whole season finale is that if Maggie didn't have a miscarriage Negans guys would have been manning 4 roadblocks for weeks or possibly months hoping that the exact people he was looking for decided to drive down the road for some reason.
That isn't the case. You are supposed to realize the Saviors are such a large organized group that they not only know where Alexandria is, they are watching it closely enough to know when people leave. They aren't going to storm Alexandria, and lose people at the walls. They want to catch them when the group is vulnerable.

Holy ####, how maybe colossal nerds can some up with videos about who Negan killed?  This is incredibly dumb.  Looking at shadows? Listening to the eenie meenie?  Holy #### people, there ARE NO CLUES IN ANY OF THAT you losers!!!  There was clearly to pattern to any of that, and the end was completely separate to what was said or shown prior to it.  It takes 2 brain cells to see that.  Good grief.

Either way they screwed the pooch here.  From now until the next season people could have been talking about how terrible it is that "person x" was killed and how brutal it was, and everyone's reactions, and how the group is going to get through this mess of having to work for Negan with a constant major threat as their every day life.

Nope, all there is to talk about is who got killed.  They ruined what would have been a great ending to the season, and ruined all the talk from now until the next season.
