I like how they're playing it by showing the collective acid trip of the "aware" bots... Delores and Maeve especially.Well, if it was not clear before, it's pretty clear now where Maeve is going to find her army.
interesting show as it relates to the multiple timeline theory.
If he isn't dead, he's just gonna stay quiet?Maybe I misunderstood what they showed, but I assumed when they cauterized his wound, it saved his life so no murder just yet.
Lol... don't pay attention to what has happened and lack imagination for what has yet to happen. If he isn't dead, he's just gonna stay quiet?
Hey this bot is trying to kill me, round up a robot army, and Sylvester is a moron.
I just find it unpossible to believe (unless he is a bot himself) that actually materializing without a huge hole. I'm enjoying it, but I do find things like this a little flawed in the plot.
I just see no reason why this guy has even allowed it to get this far and/or even further.Lol... don't pay attention to what has happened and lack imagination for what has yet to happen.
Ford found the area where it was buried and talked about building the new narrative there in that episode.Having Dolores see the steeple seemed odd to me if we are to think about multiple timelines. I guess I thought Ford had just built that at the end of one of the earlier episodes. Was that not the case?
Hadn't heard of triple timeline theory. So, if MIB and Teddy going after Wyatt is t=0, and William and Logan is t-30, what is the 3rd timeline? I'll take a link, if you don't want to write it all down, please. And what's the Chimera virus?I'm on board with..
MIB = William
Wyatt = Arnold
Triple timeline
Mauve is infected with the Chimera virus
Ok. I was under the impression he put that there and it was part of his new narrative.Ford found the area where it was buried and talked about building the new narrative there in that episode.
This show was definitely not made for the casual viewer.I'm still sort of enjoying the show, but I'm increasingly skeptical they will be able to resolve the multiple timeline thing in a way that's going to be satisfying for the casual viewer.
I doubt the show runners pitched it to HBO on the premise that only Reddit nerds would enjoy it.This show was definitely not made for the casual viewer.
Yeah, you really need to pay attention to just about every detail to the point where it almost takes you out of the story a little. The acting is phenomenal though and whether or not they pull off whatever it is they are trying to do here, they do immerse you in this world, and that is really all you can ask for a drama. This show was definitely not made for the casual viewer.
Ever go on Reddit after an episode of Game of Thrones airs?I doubt the show runners pitched it to HBO on the premise that only Reddit nerds would enjoy it.
Yeah that saved his lifeMaybe I misunderstood what they showed, but I assumed when they cauterized his wound, it saved his life so no murder just yet.
Yep.did i hear Dolores correctly last night, saying "When is it?" to William when they are the new/old part of the park?
True - did anyone notice on the show QA girl has been missing?Only one dead human that they know about...
I think I'm a casual viewer and love it. It's basically like me and Mr Robot. I don't know everything that is going on but do pay attention to the episodes when they air. I don't go back and rewatch and don't really read any except some stuff in here. This show was definitely not made for the casual viewer.I'm still sort of enjoying the show, but I'm increasingly skeptical they will be able to resolve the multiple timeline thing in a way that's going to be satisfying for the casual viewer.
Agree with all that, but a huge budget show like this needs to pull more than the Reddit crowd. And maybe they will or will continue to do so (not sure what the ratings have been) but I worry whether they will be able to do so over a couple seasons like TLEF said.Ever go on Reddit after an episode of Game of Thrones airs?
I bet the fact that they knew the internet would nerd out about it was actually a selling point.
Don't get me wrong, I agree it's not for everyone. It's intense viewing.
She is theoretically on vacation, but the security guy was asking Bernard about her. I still hold out hope that she is still alive in the park but its not looking good right now.True - did anyone notice on the show QA girl has been missing?
i think the church steeple Dolores & William saw was the same one from town/city where Dolores had just seen all the people being killed. same place, but buried under dirt/sand.So, Bernard's relationship with Theresa wasn't as discrete as they thought - now his denial is going to raise questions.
What's the deal with the church Delores saw - I can't remember if that's a new structure created for the Wyatt storyline, or just something they flashed to when Ford was talking about the storyline, but not a 'new' thing.
I don't know why you think the audience is being played with. I've said multiple timeframes since episode 2. They've been dropping hints the whole time, and they've become less and less subtle each episode. This show has been awesome for me.Exactly. I don't consider myself a casual viewer of shows like this. If a show is good, I'll totally dive into all the minuti, fan theories, etc.
I've had very little motivation to do that with this show. It's too confusing and I don't like the fact that we're basically being played with the entire time for some shock value ending/big reveal.
I know they've already ordered a second season of this, but I'd be surprised if it makes it past that. I'm not sure how a casual viewer could watch this show and enjoy it and I'm sure the production costs are very high. Bet it gets canned next year due to low viewership
I'm wondering if that was supposed to be a "reveal" that Sylvester/Felix was a host. It seemed like the way they focused on that, it was supposed to be. We have no indication that humans can be saved in such a way and those were clearly the tools used on the hosts.Maybe I misunderstood what they showed, but I assumed when they cauterized his wound, it saved his life so no murder just yet.
Totally agree that the hints have gotten a lot less subtle. To me, MIB recognizing the blond that greeted William is a pretty big tip off (although I seriously doubt the casual crowd will catch it) of the william= MIB theory.I don't know why you think the audience is being played with. I've said multiple timeframes since episode 2. They've been dropping hints the whole time, and they've become less and less subtle each episode. This show has been awesome for me.![]()
He could still be a host of course, but in one of the first episodes when discussing the bots they talk about how we have reached the peak scientifically - that they can cure pretty much any disease or ailment. So it's definitely reasonable to believe that they can seal the wound like that.I'm wondering if that was supposed to be a "reveal" that Sylvester/Felix was a host. didn't Maeve say something in a previous episode about "dying a million times" and threatening Sylvester with having to try it once [implying he was not a host]?I'm wondering if that was supposed to be a "reveal" that Sylvester/Felix was a host. If it was the blonde in the desert, I'm pretty sure that was the girl who welcomed William to Westworld. So who was the girl that mib said hello to?
Basically confirming it. There are pictures of her in the town too, but I can't remember when that is from.If it was the blonde in the desert, I'm pretty sure that was the girl who welcomed William to Westworld. So who was the girl that mib said hello to?
....lending more credence to the MiB = William theory
I think that was before she got her admin privileges. She may not have known then. I could be off-base, but I thought they were trying to reveal that to us and the episode was so confusing as it was, it was unclear.Quint said:didn't Maeve say something in a previous episode about "dying a million times" and threatening Sylvester with having to try it once [implying he was not a host]?
Really? That was her???Skoo said:If it was the blonde in the desert, I'm pretty sure that was the girl who welcomed William to Westworld.

A lot of set up in this episodeI think that was before she got her admin privileges. She may not have known then. I could be off-base, but I thought they were trying to reveal that to us and the episode was so confusing as it was, it was unclear.
mrs musk... I thought so too.Really? That was her???Skoo said:If it was the blonde in the desert, I'm pretty sure that was the girl who welcomed William to Westworld.
