Picked up my copy of FF Index yesterday. Despite the news, suggestions, and projections being outdated or downright laughable, it's still the best presentation of statistics and rookie background information of any magazine out there.
I noticed something while flipping through it that I never realized before. If you look at the final pages of the mag where they provide team-by-team breakdowns, you'll notice that they put the state and name for every team on the appropriate page (ex: New York Giants, Carolina Panthers, etc.). However, for the Redskins, they simply list "Washington". As I read through the section, there's no mention of "Redskins" "Skins", etc. throughout that portion of the magazine.
While I haven't read it cover to cover yet, is there a reason they refrain from referring to the team by name? Are they offended by implied stereotypes? Is the publishers/editors of Native American descent? Do they apply the same beliefs to the Kansas City Chiefs?
