A spinoff of my "Ben Utecht" thread, I'm floored when I read posters essentially say...
"When's the last time the Bengals had a good/productive TE??"
When evaluating a player's potential on a new team, are there really FF'ers who review the positional history of a specific team to gauge value?!?! Granted...different HC's, OC's and DC's run schemes that emphasize and de-emphasize certain positions, but the average tenure of these coaches are maybe 3-4 years tops. The offenses and defenses of particular teams can change multiple times over period of time. Sure, the Steelers have been running the 3-4 forever, while it seems the Eagles have used the West-Coast for an eternity. However, let's focus on the NFL from a general standpoint.
Do people really believe there's something in the local drinking water which makes certain positions unfruitful on particular teams for an extended period of time?? If so, please explain.
