I am intrigued by this list thingy.   Gonna be all time songs or something?

I love AM and A Ghost Is Born but have never listened to The Whole Love.  Need to remedy that!  Great picks.

I didn't have room for them but I'm glad others stepped up to the plate. 

Other than Star Wars, IMO their post-2007 work consists of albums with half good-to-great songs and half meh songs, so that's how I feel about The Whole Love.

I listened to Weirdo Shrine by La Luz on Louis' walk this evening.  I'd never heard of La Luz before and feel I somehow should have.

I didn't really know what to expect but was surprised to hear Surf guitars.  Their sound reminded me a little of the Danish group The Raveonettes who were popular for a minute earlier in the century. 

I liked the singer more than the guitar player who was technically limited to be playing surfy solos.  The more up tempo songs worked better fun but they never really revved things up like Dum Dum Girls who played a similar brand of reverb-heavy Rock.  La Luz seemed like they'd be a fun band to see live, especially if the singer was cute.

With this one done-ish, is anyone interested in my Rolling Stone Top 500 Pain Draft?  Basically 25 drafters with 20 picks or 20 drafters with 25 picks, but they have to come from, in the case of 25 drafters, 1-20, 21-40, etc., so there's strategy and pain and listening to new music (which might be the same as pain) involved.  Wanted to gauge interest from this group and @simey first before proceeding.

I'm in for that.

Does that make sense to everyone?

Yep, until empty.  Attrition would be handled as with other drafts.

DJax -- I don't think he's overtly racist, but he has zero self-awareness so he doesn't understand when he's engaging in other forms of racism.

And he just proved my point in the Survivor thread. 

My biggest pet Peeve is why are blacks allowed to drop the N Bomb but no one else and its ok if its "igga" and not the hard "er" version?

What I was saying was that the moderation here is such that I keep winding up suspended over DJax, Insein, Trip, now Blackbear, ConstruxBoy, etc. the shark pool and the psf don’t seem worth it.

I think it’s ignorance mixed with judgmental thinking on his part and that’s always a dangerous combo. But I’ll tread gently. I got fired up last night in the SP. no need, really.
