The trainer battle invites are odd. Sometimes I see an answer and it says "Choosing their teams..." but nothing happens. I've waited up to 5mins, but nothing happens. Other times I see "Waiting to accept" and again, nothing. So I assume the other trainer lost connection or doesn't see the invite. There are other times it's just a blank screen with no status message. Just odd.

Right. It was odd. Once I was selecting my team to start the fight when a popup on the screen said you had challenged me and to exit the screen to accept the fight.

I need to try some trainer vs. trainer battles to see if that gets me Sinnoh Stones. I think the odds of getting them in 7-day streak spins are either obscenely low, or they've removed them. I have 3-5 of ALL the others, and haven't gotten a Sinnoh Stone for at least a few months.

You and me both. I'll always battle when I'm available. I'm usually online after 530pm EST. If you ever want to battle, let me know if you have an exact time, or just randomly hit me up. If I'm not online, my son is and he will battle as well. We share the same account, so no worries.

I'll see if I can get you next time I'm on in the PM. I usually mess around with it after the kids go to bed. I get ZERO Pokemon at our house, so I'd love to find something I can actually do at the house to further my game.

Same here. I'll usually have it on after kids go to bed just to try to fight some international and west coast "friends". Unfortunately, not a lot of action near the house.

nope, if you use a premium battle pass you need to win 2/5.....if you don't use a raid pass, its 4/5. a little harder but do-able. right now you get 5 free battles a day without walking requirements, Im terrible, and I got about 10 giratinas, 15 cobalions and 20 landorous so far. 1 darkrai and 5 thunderous too.
Also get 3/5 and get 2 rare candies....been racking those up too.

I haven’t played since December, but I do still like the game. They nerfed some of the best spots in my area, that along with the overall declining interest and not recognizing many of the new Pokémon, I’ve had a hard time keeping up the same level of play or enjoyment I once did. Once the weather in my area gets a little nicer, I might try to play regularly again. My trainer name is fdsey, if anyone wants to add me

I still play daily. However, being locked inside and they took away some closer stops, I haven't been able to do much other than grind on whatever spawns around me.

With the Go Battle League not working I need to battle other trainers for the special research task of battling 15 trainers. Anyone I'm friends with in the game willing to do some battles this weekend? If so let me know, I'm mufasa60 in the game. Hopefully we can coordinate some convenient times to battle.
I had to grab some coffee. I don't know what the interface for battles is, but does opponent get an option to rematch, or is it just challenger? I've got a number battlers with good moves, but am weak in my guys' strengths/weaknesses other than rock, paper, scissors.
With league closed, you're my first after finishing my last raids yesterday. I've got 10 battles left. Didn't want to spam you, but hit me up in 45 minutes. Ultra? I've been assembling a few teams, but am gonna have to spend some stardust.
Anyone else, I'll do groups of five.

I have a packed Father's Day here, but maybe early in the week i can help out. On the battles, my daughter and i just agree, you win this one, I win the next one. If you really want to get tricky and you have a second phone, you can just create a second Pokemon Go account and battle yourself.
My lack of a Heracross in my Pokedex has tempted me to open a 2nd account and spoof to get one and then trade it to my primary account, but I don't like to cheat and I don't want to risk all my hours I have put in this game by getting my account suspended.

No problem, I didn't really have much more time either. I don't know how the rematch option works either, I think I had the choice after each battle we did, whether I won or lost the battle, so maybe the player who accepts the invite always has the option?
Ultra league is my worst league, just don't have the best pokemon to battle with there. But doesn't matter to me since we don't have to win battles to finish the task.
I won't be working tomorrow so I should be available for battles most of the day. If that isn't convenient then later in the evening works too.

I was today years old when I realized you don't have to wait for the raid counter to reach 0 to play in a raid. Before remote raids, I really never did them. I never had time, and live in a rural area, so there weren't any local to home. I'd check them when I was out, but always thought the counter was the counter time to the start of the raid, NOT the time till the raid expired. I used to be near them, and be like, "I can't wait 45 minutes for this dang thing to start."

I rode a plane down to visit parents in Savannah two weeks ago a bit after the special research task started and I needed to win 15 raids. I live near 4 gyms and can spin a pokestop from my couch in S. Arlington VA. The one raid I did before I figured that out I happened to be at a doctor's office, and I rushed out to run down to a fountain with the time at less than a minute so I could "join." I didn't realize I could have just done it when it was there on my way in when I wasn't rushing.
I live in very rural western NJ. The nearest poke stop is over a mile from me...nearest gym about 3 miles. Before COVID, I could only get pokemon showing up at my house if I used an Incense. Post-COVID, I think they upped the rural area spawn rates, so I'll get one or two every now and then. I've basically stopped playing since COVID. Just don't get out enough.
You' want to tap your avatar in the bottom left corner. Tap "Friend"s at the top of the next screen, then "Add Friends".
The 12 digit number at the top is your trainer code that you can send out to folks you want to friend. If you want to add someone, enter their trainer code at the center of the screen. You should be good to go.
You should get a notification when someone adds you or sends a friend request. I can't recall, but I'm sure you'll also see any required action when you go to your friends screeen tosend and/or receive gifts.

I had pretty much stopped playing a while back but with Covid I may as well uninstall the game. There’s nothing near my house and I may become permanent WFH. It was a run.
