Post New Peterson Trade Offers Here (2 Viewers)

I was just offered

Cobb + Asiata + M Evans + MJD

for Peterson + Garcon

Yahoo Pro league (10 tean, 2RB/3WR, standard)

I am seriously tempted by this, I want Cobb
Why have you not accepted this yet?
I went "oh hell why not" and accepted shortly after posting.

I'll hold Peterson in my other league. ugh. Of all the first round players I took, he was the only one I had in multiple leagues. So I hedged, traded in one holding in the other

I obviously have no idea WTH will come of this but the 6 game suspension theory sounds as good as anything to me right now...as a minimum.

An owner just got Foles for Peterson in one of my leagues. He is weak at QB, so it is a fantastic trade for him and the other owner actually (who is strong at QB and can afford to sit and wait and hope)

This just went down in one of my leagues. i was not involved

Team A gave: AP, Riley Cooper and 2015 3rd

Team B gave: Andre Johnson & Jason Witten

Dude who knows whats a good trade anymore with players like this. First Rice was out 2 games, then a new policy came along saying 6 games, now out forever it seems.

Then there is Gordon who we all thought was done forever, now he will be back this year due to new policy.

Peterson's value in a couple weeks could easily be anywhere from 0% to 100% of what it is right now, and then some new policy could come along in two months and either ban him for life, or reinstate him immediately.

Me personally, I would just look at Peterson as 50% of what he was worth a few days ago. If you can get 50% or more, I say go for it.

I definitely do not buy the whole " because of Ray Rice Peterson will be done forever" stuff. Both are bad and both are idiots for doing what they did, but both situations are different because of their INTENT. Granted, that doesn't changed the crime, but it does make the situations a bit different.

But really, it is just impossible to know what the NFL will do NFL stand for NOT FOR LONG indeed, cause they change their policies on a whim.

I just traded away Peterson for Brandon Marshall + 1st Rounder in a keep 4, PPR 14-teamer.

Was offered a 2015 1st round pick that will be late...potentially real late if AP stays on the field. Dynasty. Turned it down. Countered with Trent Richardson, plus a 2015 1 and 2. I later revoked that offer, but I think he would do it if I went back.

This is why u dont just give a stud away for total peanuts. Take the chance he plays unless u get something worthwhile.

Exactly. At this point, as an owner of Peterson, I'm looking to acquire Asiata on the cheap on the news that he's been activated.

you'd better lean into the accept button right now before he pulls it

abuse case #2 is now public and there's probably more to come

Just traded him and Hartline for VJax, Trent Richardson, and what will be a late 1st next year. I needed to cleanse my roster of that stank. Id rather root against him.

I'm having a very hard time holding on to him in a 10 team redraft with a 6 player bench... I've got RB issues, I need to be getting guys like Khiry instead.

I don't know when to let go

In a ppr league I'm trading Asiata + Gerhart for Mike Wallace and AP.

In a touchdowns only league I'm trading Asiata + Bernard Pierce for Edelman and Malcom Floyd. This is from the AP owner, who is keeping AP for now.

Frankly, I think AP is done for the season, but there's a small chance he pleas out before the end.

I dunno... He's not going to get any more than 6 games from the NFL. That's what first-time offenders get now and he hasn't had any kind of other personal conduct suspensions.

I'm fairly inclined to believe he pleas this out within a month, gets a slap on the wrist from the judge (as he should for a first-time offender that caused no permanent damage), and the NFL counts the 6 games he misses as time served.

That puts him on the field by week 8. I'm very inclined to give up a guy like Pierce for him, whom I've stashed in almost every league and am not even starting at the moment.

My problem is that if the Media, Sponsors, and general public went ape#### about this the first time, and forced the Vikings hand, what's to stop them from doing it again if he "gets off too easy."?

Someone dropped AP in re draft.

How much FAAB $ is he worth?
Depends on league size and whether or not you can pick players up for $0.

Regardless I would probably blow the whole thing on him. You're talking about a free top-3 pick if he's only gone a total of 6 games. What else are you going to spend it on? FAAB is overrated. Take a shot on someone and if you miss, oh well.

Vikings would have to handle it very delicately. If AP served 6 game suspension and pleaded down they would have to: Host press conference where AP apologizes to his family, community etc etc, then vows to be a voice against child abuse for the rest of his life, donate time/money each year, prob speak at next Vikings game and apologize to crowd and stay low for the season just playing football and that's all.

If anyone complained after that, Vikes/NFL can stand safely behind the "he did his time, now it's time to recover" stance IMO. Anyone who tried to push after that would prob not get far as NFL can then deem it as harassment.

Remember folks. After people do their time (even if you don't agree with the sentence length) has the right to a second chance. (i.e. Vick) That's 'Murica

Via Rappaport: @RapSheet: RB Adrian Petersons legal team is pushing for an expedited trial, rather than have it next year. Will force #Vikings into a decision

Who know what this means, but for the sake of speculating let's say either could mean he's trying to get that 6 game suspension thing locked so he can return, or maybe thus may push Vikings to release him so they aren't caught with PR nightmare before they are ready.

So risk blowing your whole season on the small chance this guy plays again this year? Unless you clearly have the best team or the worst team, I think this is a dumb strategy. There will be injuries with clear handcuffs that can help you win your league. Spend your FAAB on them, not on Peterson.
