We really ought to consider doing whatever it tskes to complete this Draft by May 14, 8pm at the latest.

NFL Schedule release show.

We are planning to take a break and halt the draft on May 13th. There is no way we will finish before then.

Who is this “we” you speak of…pausing the draft just gives people reason to stall and sit in picks….for the life of me I don’t understand why people don’t just set it up to get text notifications when otc…so dumb

Primarily me, but @BassNBrew and I discussed while "we" were setting up the league. Maybe instead of a set time, all of us can judge how quickly we are going through rounds just prior to the schedule release and stop at the end of a round sometime on the day before.

Things that shouldn’t matter but I let them #32 - before now, I’ve never had Joe Burrow on my FF team. Usually I’m okay punting QB, and after taking a TE in the first it probably would have been prudent to wait on QB but I also wanted to see what happens if I go TE and QB early.

Burrow - best passer in the game with the best, or top 3, receiver set. Won’t get the big run plays like Lamar, Jayden, or hurts but I wanted safety here, and other than injury, Joe performs.

McBride - possibly the best TE if he scored Touchdowns.

Nico and Zay - big play receivers, Zay might be the most underused great wr in the league.

When I did a quick Google search for Flowers, it came back as:

Was really hoping for Burrow to pair with Higgins. I had Tee on autodraft because I figured at a minimum Daniels and Hurts would go ahead of Burrow, and with only four of you on the turn behind me it was worth rolling the dice.

Of course I neglected that @nittanylion didn't have a QB yet either, and when I woke up this morning and saw Daniels had gone ahead of me I figured I was cooked.

Quietly went RB-RB in the 3rd and 4th round with a couple rookies I think(hope) will be fast out of the box
The 3 Flex spots open the board up especially with 16 teams, I like that aspect

Can't complain about this start. Although with 3 flex slots in the new format, preserving roster flexibility in the early rounds probably doesn't mean nearly as much as it used to.

Interesting that @bro1ncos started Henry / BTJ-Moore / LaPorta which seems like a virtual carbon copy. If offered a chance to swap rosters I'm not sure who says no.

You can enter your cell phone number under franchise information and MFL will text you with a link when you are up.

if you are able to get to the site at all (desktop, laptop, ipad) ...you are able to enter a cell phone number to get a text when you are otc.....you don't have to access the site from your phone....but at least you will get a text to let you know that you are otc ....that way when you have a quick sec and are done smelling the flowers you can go pick instead of just waiting to "check in whenever"...

I traded purdy for nix in SF a month or two ago, I think nix can be a top QB. But it’s nice to see someone even higher on him.

Regarding Bo Nix - I was very surprised when Denver drafted him so high. I was surprised when he started early for the Broncos, I was surprised when they started winning and he looked good. I am surprised that he was drafted fairly early here, but I no longer doubt him. Good luck OZ

and just chiming in...if pausing the draft for the schedule release is pretty much a given.....IMO we agree to stop it after an even round even if it means pausing it for a day or two.....like after round 10 or something....and just call it good till the morning of May 15th...

Was definitely a factor zoning in on Harvey for one of my RBs
I feel like he enters a solid offense that needs a better return form their ground game
Nix looks the part so far

Pick 5.2 (66) going with QB Baker Mayfield - only he and one other before a pretty steep drop off.

After five rounds - I have not slammed any position and that gives me some options going forward as to how I attack the flex positions.

I’ve paid zero attention to the whole “way too early ADP” / best ball draft universe this offseason, so maybe it’s me … but I did not have Bo Nix going QB6 on my bingo card.

Had a strong rookie year, a good coach, decent weapons. FBG consensus redraft rankings have him at QB6 as well. Considered punting another round with him as my QB target, but had him at the tail end of my predraft list for that pick....and saw that list decimated in the prior 6 or 7 picks.

I went a little early on my RBs, especially rookies
Most of the teams everyone likes went with a balanced approach, I couldn't sit back and wait
ADP doesn't weigh as heavy on a draft like this IMHO

Could be a smart play. Definitely gives folks at the other end without a QB a bit of stress. And also, variety is the spice of life.

I thought about grabbing Pollard, he was great for me last season
Titans didn't really upgrade at RB and Spears has shown himself to be the COP back thus far and not a feature RB
I was close to grabbing him in the 5th even with several on my roster already

Judkins is your 2nd RB taken, how does Sampson make you feel since he was taken later in the Draft and some of us really like Sampson, both rookies for the Browns
Cleveland double dipped at RB and QB for rookies

But I think Cleveland is thinking 2026 and I would not be shocked if Njoku is traded Post June-1st, that might actually be a great scenario for him to be air lifted out of Cleveland

Njoku is like TE6 on most FF rankings for 2025 so its not like anyone is really taking Fannin seriously, just MoP

I feel good enough, I think Justina will be the primary and a risk worth taking here. Same for pollard. I usually don’t wait on RB but so far I like how the team is turning out.

loaded up again on WRs drafting Jakobi Meyers LVR at WR41. surely the QB play in Vegas will be improved over a year ago and Meyers should be top WR target, obviously behind their TE Mr. Bowers.
