Post NFL Draft 25 Survivor (5 Viewers)

The #Falcons are expecting a breakout season from TE Kyle Pitts in 2025, says OC Zac Robinson.

“I’m expecting Kyle [Pitts] to take a big jump. You know… year two of the system. Year two of understanding what we’re trying to do offensively. All those things that come with it, so expecting a lot of good things from Kyle. He knows what he needs to work on with the details, some of the fundamentals and techniques, the consistency down in and down out, those are things we talk about with him.”

-you do get plenty of time to survey the field when things slow down

3 picks since 10:00 last night
1 all day today so far...

And FYI I am on the road starting Friday thru Mother's Day, I do have my phone but will be in and out of coverage at times.
BSS is my point man, he can find me

1.11: Josh Jacobs, RB Packers - sure, I may have reached a little for Jacobs as RB6, but I'm quite bullish on him, especially after the Pack upgraded their WR corps in the Draft, which, IMHO, will stress the defense and give Jacobs even more room to operate, in a high-ceiling offense in which he's the featured weapon. A legit Alpha RB, who can catch, and I'm not worried about anyone in the RB room compromising touches. Rookies Bowers and Jeanty being drafted ahead of me actually pushed some things down my way that I didn't expect, so I chose to get 'my guy', who I didn't expect to last to 2.06, and see what fell to me 10 picks later. Would have had to think real hard if ARStB was available, and waffled over Nabers for a bit before pulling the trigger.

2.06: Jonathan Taylor, RB Colts - Can't beleive I'm saying this, but I'm eager to see what happens with Daniel Jones and the Colts. Coaching staff should get more out of him than he showed in NYG, he will be involved in the offense, and that could be a net positive for Taylor's efficiency and involvement in the passing game and red zone (I think 32 receptions is a reasonable projection). DJ may even have a + effect on AR development, and that's good for the entire offense. Not worried about Tyler Warren either; there's more than enough for a true Alpha to put up RB1-tier #'s.
After 2 subpar seasons, the bounce-back 2024 has me optimistic Taylor can build on that and finish at least as RB10 where I drafted him. Have to start 2 RB minimum, and while I think I have the best 1-2 punch in the League, we'll see if it costs me elsewhere.

More to follow...

Moving forward, the 'buddy system' , where everybody drafting has a fellow drafter has 'point man' as you called it, randomly assigned to them, might be a great way to increase the time efficiency of these Drafts.

Wow did that suck. Almost went TE in round 6, but had a list of TEs I was happy with at least 5 deep. Only to watch all of them go off the board in short order. When I went to bed this AM I had Goedert and Ertz in that order only a couple away...and of COURSE Goedert went as somebodies #2.

(Warren, Loveland, Pitts were my top 3....with Warren sitting at FBG redraft rank #27 I really thought he was safe to wait on for at least another round)

But hey, at least Ertz keeps the old man theme going

he was actually my third...
