Love you Tanner but this is where I hold my ground.  You don't stand for the national anthem, you're an ######.  It's a simple display of respect for your country, it's really not that hard to understand.  I fought in two wars for my country (one I didn't agree with), I have the right to feel the way I do. 

Any friend of mine not standing for the anthem is not my friend.  Period.  I will not bend on this, it is pretty ### #### simple to show respect for your country three or four times a year or less. 

Yeah, like I said "so dumb".  Getting worked up to the point of physical violence because you don't think someone is patriotic enough is a joke and pretty g-damned unAmerican.

No.  Look, I've been accused in this forum of being a flaming liberal.  Yes, me.  I don't expect much from people, because people are terrible.  However I expect those who hold the constitution and the United States of America ideals to show some respect, just a little, for their flag and their county.  It is your right to not stand, to get nachos and be a ##### to avoid the anthem, but I don't respect that.  You live in the greatest country of the history of the world, why not show one minute and 57 seconds to appreciate that?

I didn't though.  I would never erase a post there, never.  It's all an open book, just like I am.  I mean what I say, and say and say what I mean.  Every day, every chance I get.  Max, and Beaver, and Card Trader can say I disparaged them at that forum, I did.  I freely admit it. 

You're the guy who doesn't bow their head for prayer at a funeral, who doesn't clap when your kids little league team loses but gave a great effort, and doesn't respect himself.  It's all good, seven million people on this earth and many of them don't have self-respect or respect for anything else.  I have the right to not respect that, I have earned the right to say whatever the #### I want.  Because I live in the greatest county in the world, and I don't take that for granted.
