Mini-Dak?
And Kyler Murray is just a smaller Prescott. #shotfired
I don’t think Kyler is going to be a long-term winning NFL QB. He’s a fantastic fantasy option, but we’ll see.I don’t know about those. Seattle maybe. Arizona no. Rams eh probably not.
You're saying that GB would rather Dak on their roster right now than ARWe're losing the narrative here. In no way am I saying
Prescott
is better than
Rodgers
.
I am saying that GB would love to have Dak on the roster in case things go sideways with AR.
And
Kyler Murray
is just a smaller
Prescott

No chance Seattle would trade Wilson for Dak straight up lol.Seattle, Rams and Arizona
No, I did not. You're saying that GB would rather Dak on their roster right now than AR![]()
Ok well if AR leaves GB, then we can add his new team to the list of teams who wouldn't trade their QB for DakNo, I did not.
travdogg said:Top-8 NFL QB. He didn't commit 15+ penalties. Mike McCarthy lost that game.
Dak could have played better, but he got almost no help. Lamb couldn't catch a cold, Zeke had a piano on his back, and should be a backup, and penalties kept putting them in bad situations.
I really don't think they did. In my opinion, Dallas beat themselves.Dallas lost to a better team. Simple as that.

ETA: They were still in position to win, despite basically everything going wrong up to that point.

Dallas kept holding them to FGs though. SF never pulled away, Dak hit Cooper for the long-ish TD, and then Jimmy G threw that awful INT. If Dallas has even 9 penalties instead of 15, I think they win that game.Wow, really? SF rolled their ### from the kick, you're focusing too much on the end. That line was blowing them off the ball. Do you not remember those first half drives. Hell the very first drive had like 5 1st downs of over 10 yard gains right down their throat. They looked like Alabama playing a Pac 12 team.
Dallas was lucky it even got close.

If AR leaves GB then his new team has a potentially one and done, hostage taker as their QB - and then THAT team would want a contingency plan.Ok well if AR leaves GB, then we can add his new team to the list of teams who wouldn't trade their QB for Dak
if AR stays, then GB wouldh't trade their QB for Dak.
Either way, AR's team belongs on the list of those who wouldn't prefer Dak.
Other than calling Dak an average QB, I agree with all of this. 32 starters in the league, Dak is better than at least 20 of them. There is a reason their team had a ridiculous 15 penalties. It's because they are poorly coached. This wasn't an outlier either, McCarthy's team led the entire league in penalties this year. That's a joke. And in a playoff game, for that serious issue not to be cleaned up, is even more inexcusable.
A good, or even average coach doesn't let that happen. No discipline. And all that talent. Jerry Jones got what he deserved, again, the wrong head coach. And I would also a horrible deal on an average QB. That's on him.
Getting off topic somewhat, but to win only ONE Superbowl in 13 years with Aaron Rodgers as your QB is a massive fail. How many do you think Bill B wins in that situation? Or how do you think Bill B would've done with this Dallas roster this year? I doubt they lose in the first round at home to an injured, average QB. Not to mention the loss of Bosa for the 2nd half.
Look, I can't stand Bill B, but it is what it is. And what it is, is AMAZING that McCarthy has been a HC in the NFL for this long. I love it to be quite honest.
lol, oh so now we're talking about teams wanting Dak as their backup? LOL.If AR leaves GB then his new team has a potentially one and done, hostage taker as their QB - and then THAT team would want a contingency plan.
I said that easily 3/4 of the league would want him on their team. (That's probably an UNDERestimation because every team needs a good QB2, and he's better than every current QB2.)
YOU said "So that means you only 7 teams would pick their current qb over him?" Which is not what I said.
Dallas lost to a better team. Simple as that.
Do you always look to pick fights?lol, oh so now we're talking about teams wanting Dak as their backup? LOL.
Ok then sure, 32 teams would want Dak on their team. C'mon man, "easily 3/4 of the league would want him on their team" definitely reads that they would want him as their starter.
Not picking a fight, I just disputed that at least 75% of the league would want him as their QB. Dak would be an upgrade on probably 20 of 32 teams as their starter.Do you always look to pick fights?
Look, the point is, people hyperventilating about Dak not being a good starting QB need some perspective. There aren't many teams (the exact number is debatable, sure) for which Dak wouldn't be an upgrade. And the list is smaller when you consider teams with guys close to retirement.
You're not even trying to follow the argument. Ignore time. Not picking a fight, I just disputed that at least 75% of the league would want him as their QB. Dak would be an upgrade on probably 20 of 32 teams as their starter.
And I don't think Dak would be an upgrade over guys close to retirement (I'm assuming you're talking about Brady and Rodgers?) I'm pretty sure neither Brady or Rodgers' team next year would trade them straight up for Dak.
Ignore because you made a foolish claim and have now changed it to "actually most teams would want him as their back up" lolYou're not even trying to follow the argument. Ignore time.
True, but finding a franchise QB in the NFL is ridiculously hard. Half the teams in the league aren't set at QB right now. Dak definitely has his shortcomings, and isn't elite, but I still think he's in the QB10-15 range, which puts him as a slightly above average starter.Dak cant utilize any of his talent at WR on a consistent basis... Dinken and Dakin
Borderline WestBrick of NFL QB's.... $40 million on the books your stuck with like the Lakers
that's a lot of posts to say
'I think Dak is qb8'
'no I think Dak is qb12'

Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said he hopes Dak Prescott will have more rushing opportunities in 2022.
McCarthy implied that the team was careful with using Prescott as a runner in 2021, coming off a horrific leg injury in 2020. "We tried to be smart when we used him" as a runner, McCarthy said at the start of Dallas' mandatory minicamp. Prescott, 28, last year averaged three rushing attempts per game, down slightly from his career average of 3.7 rushes per game. Even a slight increase in designed runs -- especially near the end zone -- would bolster Prescott's fantasy outlook headed into 2022.

Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy said he doesn't have "any concern" about Dak Prescott (ankle) playing Week 1 against the Bucs.
McCarthy added the plan is for Prescott to be a full participant in practice Friday and Saturday. Prescott popped up on the injury report as a limited participant Thursday because of an ankle issue. The quarterback downplayed the injury to reports after practice. This sounds like a non-story, but Prescott's play in the team's opener will be the true test. Prescott remains a low-end QB1 for his high-scoring affair with Tampa Bay.

FOX Sports's Jay Glazer reports Dak Prescott's x-rays came back negative after he suffered an ankle injury in practice Thursday.
Glazer said Prescott felt a "pop" in his foot, but he got in a full practice the following day. Prescott may be a bit beat up entering Week 1, but a worst-case scenario was avoided. For a player who has been maligned by injuries in recent years, the negative x-rays garner a massive sigh of relief. Barring any further developments, Prescott can be safely started as a low-end QB1 for fantasy purposes. He takes on Tampa Bay in a game that should feature of plenty of points.

Dak Prescott (hand) completed 14-of-29 passes for 134 yards and an interception in Dallas' 19-3 Week 1 loss to Tampa Bay before leaving the game in the fourth quarter.
He added 11 rushing yards. While he was under siege behind a bad offensive line from the beginning, Prescott struggled even when able to move off his initial spot. He didn't seem to have much chemistry with Dennis Houston or Noah Brown, and missed a wide-open CeeDee Lamb on a fourth-down go that could have kept Dallas in the game in the third quarter. He appeared to bang his hand on multiple pass rushers in the fourth quarter and jogged off the field under his own power with about five minutes remaining, NBC sideline reporter Melissa Stark reported that Prescott was getting x-rays on his right hand. The Cowboys better hope the Bengals don't try to blitz them as often as Todd Bowles did in Week 2. Prescott has QB1 upside but will be hard to fully trust without better line play and full health.

“2. Prescott has QB1 upside but will be hard to fully trust without better line play and full health.”
I’m not sure I concur with this statement. At all. QB1? Like, better than Allen? Mahomie? C’mon.
