QB Jameis Winston, NYG (4 Viewers)

Lighten up cstu. I'm just messing with you.
He's all in, until after the draft. He'll either come in and try to say I told you so or he'll disappear until his first interception.
I've been very fair to Jameis when it comes to his football ability and repeatedly said he will not be a bust as a QB. He may make a lot of mistakes on the field but he's a NFL QB as long as his character doesn't implode his career.

He may grow up and put all the silly stuff he's done in the past (stealing, disrespecting coaches, shooting out windows, etc.). I'm not optimistic but it could happen.

However, I will never like him because I truly believe that he raped a girl. The only way to change my mind on that is to take it to trial and win.

So you believe in the burden of proof being with the defendant? (He's not a defendant)

That's......odd.

So you believe in the burden of proof being with the defendant? (He's not a defendant)
The evidence is all public and stacked against him.

Everything he, Casher, and Darby have said doesn't mesh with an emotionally distraught girl reporting a rape as soon as she got home.

Plaintiff Cries Out for Help Over Social Media

36. Plaintiff stood overcome by trauma and sobbing in the street. She did not know who to call for help but she knew that if she sent a Tweet, multiple close friends would see it and someone would respond. She tweeted, “SOMEONE HELP ME.”

37. Plaintiff’s high school friend Bria Henry (“Bria”) called almost immediately, at 2:48 a.m. on December 7, 2012, while Plaintiff was still alone in the street. Plaintiff was crying uncontrollably and Bria had to repeatedly ask what happened to understand that Plaintiff had been raped. Bria told Plaintiff that she needed to call her parents right away and Plaintiff began walking the short distance to her dorm.

38. Immediately after speaking with Bria, Plaintiff’s friend Jenna Weisberg (“Jenna”) called her. Jenna told Plaintiff that she was coming right over to Plaintiff’s dorm. She kept talking with Plaintiff the entire way as she drove, giving reassurances block by block that she would soon be there. Upon arrival, Jenna found Plaintiff still crying uncontrollably. Jenna called the police at 3:22 a.m. and reported that her friend had just been raped by an unknown assailant. FSU Police responded six minutes later.

39. Before FSU Police Officer Dinorah Harris (“FSU Officer Harris”) arrived, Plaintiff got a phone call from her mother. Bria had contacted her former high school cheerleading coach who had called Plaintiff’s parents. Plaintiff, still crying, told her mother and father what had happened that night. They told her they were leaving immediately and would be there in four hours or less.

40. Meanwhile, FSU Officer Harris arrived and interviewed Plaintiff, who began to provide detailed information about the incident.

At the time, however, Plaintiff did not know the identity of her assailant.
The entire attack on Kinsman has been that she was a money-grubbing whore yet she didn't even know who he was until a month later - when she finally was able to identify him and the DNA sample taken the night of the alleged rape matched him.

Jameis wouldn't even admit to having sex with Kinsman until after the DNA test came back.

Do you really think that any student at FSU didn't know who Jameis Winston was? I knew who all the players were on the Seton Hall basketball team and they were relative nobodies (and all the girls did as well).

Getting free stuff is a known thing for these guys but you can't admit it. Guy is pretty thick.
The owner of the store did not give him any free stuff, Jameis participated in multiple thefts and knew what he was doing.
It was an employee giving them to him, right? That is the gist of what was happening I thought. College kids getting free stuff from friends who work at places, happens all the time.

Admitting that he was getting the "hook up" shows he isn't too savvy. Can't believe he hadn't memorized some line by now on how to handle that.

At the time he admitted he stole them as a prank I believe. The "hook up" take is now due to a video that emerged while he was having a candid conversation with Jim Harbaugh at the combine, who was coaching him up for the interview process.

So why did she not name him that night instead of waiting until she saw him in class?

Admitting getting the stuff for free just shows a complete lack of awareness to his situation. Am kind of surprised it's not being talked about more in that regard.

I guess I have been used to seeing College QB's be so polished you forget they are really young. Haven't really followed this guy too closely other than watching/reading about sports you are going to hear about the presumed number 1 pick all the time and the negative storyline attached with this guy has been really bad judgement.

Don't know enough about the rape issue to speak to that but that is obviously a much bigger flag.

Going to take some balls to draft this guy number 1 IMO.

Sure this is technically stealing, but I have to admit when I was in college some of my fraternity brothers bartended at local bars and I would some times get free drinks from them. This actually makes him look better than just straight out thievery - although he may have violated NCAA rules. What college kid turns down free stuff, especially one that has some celebrity status?

Like I said earlier, I'd be very concerned if the Jets end up drafting him - but some of this stuff is kind of a stretch. If you truly want to assassinate his character, stick with the rape stuff.
You monster.

It wasn't 'free stuff' - he was conspiring with a store employee to commit theft.

Besides, bartenders don't give away 'free' drinks - they are allowed to give away drinks to keep people coming back and spending money. No doubt you spent a lot of money at the bar even with the occasional 'free' drinks.

Fair enough - I didn't realize the time-line. That makes sense.

Everyone in that bar knew who he was. I guarantee it. Why else would she willingly get into a taxi with three black guys?

If you're trying to sell the money-grubbing angle, then...

Why target a guy that hadn't played a down? Heck one of these buddies that was at the apt. was a starter as a freshman, IIRC. Casher I think.

Why not ID the guy immediately, rather than a month or whatever later?

That whole theory crumbles to dust basically instantaneously.

Wow ... that has to be one of the most racist comments I've read on this board.

Is it really that much of a stretch to think she just knew him as the dude that had been flirting with her in the bar, and not by his name?

That scene plays out in bars everywhere, every day.

Why target a guy that hadn't played a down?
He was the #1 QB recruit in the nation.
I'm sure she had a Rivals subscription.
I was at Jim and Milt's once eating breakfast. It's a Tallahassee hot spot. Anyway, Christian Ponder walked in and the place practically stopped. You could hear people whispering "that's Christian Ponder." After about thirty seconds everyone in the restaurant knew he was there.

If you don't think something similar happens when the #1 QB recruit in the nation and likely soon to be starter walks into the bar I'm not sure I can help you.

Good news for the FSU program is that Jimbo Fisher said that the "hook up" was an isolated occurrence and their is no need to investigate further.

For a HS recruit? A recruit barely among the top 50 from the state of Texas for that year?

:lmao:

Lies.

Completely made up story. Never happened.

Except for the biggest stars in the NFL (a handful of QB's and a very few other players), most football players (pros included) live private life in near anonymity -- the result of playing a game in body armor and a full helmet. Hall of Fame guys have Q-ratings lower than bit actors on daytime soaps and infomercial hacks.

Christian Ponder's extended family wouldn't have recognized him.

But Tampa guy has to be right about everything Winston. Not sure we can help you, either. :lmao:

I find it amusing that you are trying to defend Jameis Winston while simultaneously insulting him.
