Unreal.Overall leaderboard has him at 17th reporting with a pack of 5. The individual pages have him in 13th place. Regardless he’s a stone cold lock for a top 20 finish
No joke - I did 13.4 which is one of my longest runs ever and I’m limping around. I’m still really pleased but that dude is a true BMFI was gonna come in and say how I had a solid yet harder long run this morning, but then realized @SayWhat? is doing over 7 times what I ran, so I’ll just shut up.
Finish strong!!!!!
Yup. Not legitAfter thinking about this - since it’s not in Strava I’m not sure it counts. SayWhat needs to signup and do it again. TIA.
Well if that ain’t 15 ####### yards for taunting, I’m not sure what is. *******.
Oh God, if you only knew. I’ll fill you guys in on the full report later.@SayWhat?.....
Listen, I know you may be getting a little tired. I'm sure you've had lots of chews. And I know you're planning on hitting lots of stores today after your run since you knocked this thing out before Sunday. And I know you're not really an ultra runner but you just kind of dabble in the sport. But if you come back here and say "guys, I just wanted to enjoy the scenery for the end of the race so I took it easy", then we are going to have problems.
In other words: Run Fast; DBAP!!!! And join Strava.
Bring it home!!!
That was some ####### bull#### man! My wife paced me the last section and following a mile trail downhill through a new path on the second to last mile at a fast clip, which happened to be wet clay that stuck to my shoes, my wife had us finish with an 8 minute asphalt mile to hold those bastards off with clay caked to my shoes.Lol. It was a sprint finish. Say beat 2 guys by Lea than 30 seconds
You should be proud SayElite. Congrats and go celebrateSo here’s the deal...you guys are awesome for following along. It most definitely serves as motivation. This is an incredible thread with such a fun group of guys. So as I’ve said before, though I don’t post as much as I’d like, I appreciate you guys immensely.
You know what? I never thought I’d be proud of a race. I’ve dabbled in this for my own reasons, mostly to scratch some personal competitive itches but more significantly, running aids in my mental well being. But never not once was a reason to “place” or compete with other people. Since this is a place I trust, this is something I likely won’t say to the people I’m closest to. I’m ####### proud of this run. I left absolutely everything I had on that course, from gun to finish. Honestly not sure I could’ve squeezed any more time out of my fitness, skill level, and mind. Never in my wildest dreams would’ve predicted a 55 minute PR and 15th place finish, especially without a pacer. I’ll try to post details in the next week or two, but I’m completely wrecked. Spent an hour talking my wife and the doctor she works for down from being adamant that she needed to drive me 2 hours to the nearest major hospital to get put on IV’s and checked for rhabdo.![]()

No need to check for rfdbap, though ...you've clearly got buckets of that ####.SayWhat? said:checked for rhabdo.
Carted off? What?!Yeah and I have Hill in my other league who just got carted off... FML.
Thanks! I feel OK with the time. Not happy but it’s about where I thought I might be. I haven’t raced in a while, so it was nice (and a bit horrible) to get back out there. I’ll write a full race report later.@Juxtatarot, you rocked your HM this morning. Congrats and nice work! Looking at the results, this feels so ridiculous to ask, but are you happy with the time? Not sure what your goal was.
Just asking that question about a sub-90 minute half marathon screams how much of a fast BMF you are.
Why don’t we just use our FFA names as team names? Can one of you overachiever types put together a list of who's who in our FFB league? Please and thank you.
I hear you - I love trail running so I always like to get out and hit the trails anyway but on occasion I’ll have to run in the neighborhood due to time. If I run the 2 miles to our neighborhood pool and then back it’s just a shade under 500 feet elevation gain for the 4 miles. I never run in the other direction because it’s even worse I think - monster hill. Finally, went on a run yesterday around here with my wife. The road is really pretty to run on, has a great sidewalk that isn't right on the street, but it is hilly AF. Nothing huge and steep like the loop we ran together here but it's like a kiddy roller coaster the entire way. Up and down and up and down. Finished 5 miles and elevation gain was 331ft, or 66 ft/mile. That's almost the same as the 3 mile hilly loop we ran.
Done. Although given the ###-kicking that I'm taking, I would've preferred to have stayed anonymousWhy don’t we just use our FFA names as team names?
