I’m starting to think this has been my issue for a long time now. I spoke before about the inconsistency and not knowing why. Well, I think after 3 years, I’ve finally cracked the code. During my training, I was focused on weight loss as well. Since I’ve lost nearly 80 pounds 3 or 4 years ago, I’ve been obsessed with not overeating and putting weight back on.I did IF before tri. It was awesome for me. However, once I started tri I couldnt keep my energy levels up with it. I know calroies-in/calories-out but with how much food I did need to consume it didnt work.
The past 3 weeks, I’ve kinda let my diet go a bit. Still Vegan, still mostly organic, but I have been eating like an animal. I’ve also started splurging on non-dairy ice cream and Skittles at night. Before I started doing this, I hardly consumed any sugar. Now, I’ve been binging and not really caring about my weight. Abs are now nearly nonexistent, but my runs and overall feeling has been phenomenal. Now it seems like every run is effortless and my watch always pings in with a +3 or +4 performance level at the start. In the past, I maybe had a +3 or +4 twice a month, now I get it every single morning.
So the lesson for the day is, eat a ton of Skittles before bed. Wake up in the morning a BMF.
But hey, I've never considered myself a "runner."
