RB Alex Collins, SEA (3 Viewers)

The huge difference with this offence this year is the passing game excelling. there should still be opportunity and if we are lucky he goes on a multiple game streak of RB1 production

Had to cut him in a 12 team league. Was down to him and Ekeler and decided to keep Ekeler. Those fumbles. Your welcome in advance to all owners.

Wtmf? I'd love to see this roster that you couldn't drop someone else.

Others were Jay Ajayi, Wentz, Bears D (had to pick up a D for this week), Breida, and Ekeler.

Was down to Breida and Ekeler. Liked those guys upside over Collins in the long run. Tough choice. He hasn’t been picked up yet so if he hasn’t been after this week will try and get him back.

I might have cut Breida but would have to look at it more.  I don;t expect that offense to generate many TD's.

He was also on the chopping block.

It shouldn’t matter but I bid about 25% of my FAAB on him after his big week so being a bit stubborn.

Also took Collins in the 5th round so there’s that

Criminally underused...

yes he had a couple of fumbles, but you don’t see the Giants benching Beckham fir his fumble...you don’t see them threatening to bench Flacco for every pick....Ravens just have to roll the dice a bit here...

He looks much better than Allen. Collins should be getting 15-20+ touches a game
This has been the story of Collins's career so far  -- so much potential talent, not used enough.

Throw in the fact that he keeps fumbling, and Buck Allen clearly isn't going away (and arguably was the much better back today) and I am shying away from buying low on Collins.

Are you seriously comparing Collins to Beckham?

I don;t know if he's a bust.  If you were expecting near RB1 numbers that is on you.  When you look at the players drafted around him - R. Freeman, Drake, Mixon, Lynch, L Miller, Ajayi - he is doing fine

For anyone still in denial.

OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh insinuated the team could use more of a running back by committee approach when asked about Alex Collins' decreased role in Sunday's 12-9 loss to Cleveland.

Collins tied a season low by playing only 27 snaps despite breaking a couple of long runs and gaining 59 yards on 12 carries (4.9-yard average).

"A fresh running back is a good thing," Harbaugh said Monday. "I think running backs taking 40, 50 snaps is not necessarily a great thing. You talk about balance, put the ball in one guy's hands for 35 plays. I don't know if that's balance."

A season after finishing No. 11 in the NFL in rushing yards, Collins is currently 27th in the league with 217 yards.

His struggles come at a time when Baltimore has hit an offensive rut. The Ravens haven't scored a touchdown in 123 minutes of action. Wide receiver Michael Crabtree dropped two passes Sunday and had the potential winning touchdown pass bounce off his hands. Quarterback Joe Flacco played his worst game of the season Sunday, completing 51 percent of his passes and throwing a red zone interception.

Collins has fumbled twice this season, but Harbaugh gave him a vote of confidence last week. He wasn't listed on the injury report heading into the Browns' game despite missing a practice that week with a knee injury.

On Sunday, backup running back Buck Allen played nearly twice as much as Collins. On Monday, Harbaugh said he wants to see third-string back De'Lance Turner on the field more.

"We need to spread the load," Harbaugh said. "You want fresh guys out there playing hard."

I am holding him because his trade value is poop and he's better than anything on the waiver wire.  I've given up much hope he'll be worth starting but maybe Buck will get injured and the Ravens are forced to using Collins full time.

Keerist Harnaugh. Gonna "spread the load" right out of the playoffs again.

I might play Morris over Collins.
Collins was a target (per Bloom) for our teams this year - landed him twice. The disappointment continues to regress...from hopeful upside low end RB #1, to solid RB #2, to perhaps a Flex, and now  because of a short bench to droppable? Has it fallen this far? Morris or even Mike Davis over Collins - OUCH!

Downside is a time share and he's way less then 50/50 - just listen to Harbaugh talk. Goal line carries small chance. Haven't rushed for 70 yards in a game yet. In order to be fantasy relevant he needs to score a TD. Throw in one more fumble and he's toast.

But I do like the way he runs... sometimes.

I'd rather have Harbaugh get injured

I'm benching him today so the rest of you should start him with confidence.
LOL - I'm scouring for anything that may have more upside then Collins. Got rid of Fitzgerald early on because I saw the ship sinking. Now the ship is taking on a lot of water with Collins. I mean it's a contrarian play for sure. He "could" score 2 TD's and rush for 80 yards and catch 2-3 balls and have a very good game. Chances don't look good. Perhaps ask the 8 ball lol.

Is Tennessee’s run D really poor? I don’t remember any RB having a big day vs. them.

ETA: Looks like it is pretty bad, 123 yds/game. Weird, thought they were better.

Alex Collins rushed 19 times for 54 yards and two scores in the Ravens' Week 6 trouncing of the Titans.

Finally handed the utmost perfect game script on a silver platter, Collins notably out-carried teammate Javorious Allen 19-1 on the day. It only amounted to a measly 2.8 YPC, but Collins benefited by punching in one of his two carries inside the five-yard line for a score. His other touchdown came on a scamper from 13-yards out. It's encouraging given that he played just 27-of-87 snaps last week, his lowest mark of the season. He'll again be a touchdown-dependent RB2 in what should be a faster paced game in Week 7 against the Saints.
