A 2025 pick?
So the Lions just pushed the couch to the curb I guess.

Yeah, and some injury prone college kid said, hey, that will look good in my apartment.A 2025 pick?

They played their hand and Roseman is about the best in the business.A 2025 pick?

So they could get a comp pick (2024) before they actually have to pay the bill (2025)? Would be really funny if Swift received a high enough offer to make the comp pick higher than the trade pick. They played their hand and Roseman is about the best in the business.A 2025 pick?

Eagles going to refurbish the couch, use it for a year and then sell it to someone else for a comp pick.
Not sure if it really matters if he stays healthy. He replaces Sermon as a 4th RB on our team (not RB4, just a 4th one). Very little to lose here, we already planned to go into the season with penny/gainwell/scott...... Swift is just icing.Changing his name to If He Can Stay Healthy Swift
what are the odds of Penny and Swift both healthy and productive this season? Personally, I would rather have M Sanders. Not sure if it really matters if he stays healthy. He does remind me a little of Philadelphia cream cheese.FWIW Swift is from Philly. He’ll have the local sentiment if nothing else.

To the Eagles, worth the risk. I agree, not buts or asterisks. Not sure if it really matters if he stays healthy. He replaces Sermon as a 4th RB on our team (not RB4, just a 4th one). They could only each play every 2nd game and be okay. And there's still Gainwell. You'd rather Sanders at 7.5 M/season? So this tells me, that Kwesi can trade Cook if he expects nothing in return.Adam Schefter
@AdamSchefter
Trade terms, per source: Eagles get: RB D’Andre Swift and 7th round pick (No. 249) Lions get: a fourth-round pick in 2025, and seventh-round pick (No. 219).

Swift could be exactly what he was in Detroit.Ok, we agree Howie is a heinous.
so how are we collectively feeling about this backfield for FF purposes?
Redraft, PPR format, where y’all drafting these guys?
Penny was probably an early 4th before the Swift acquisition? Is he a dead zone guy now?
Swift was a late 2nd rounder last year - before this trade he was probably an 8th or 9th round pick at best. Is he right there with Penny now?
Gainwell an end of draft dart throw?
Seems like a dangerous offense in RL, but it could be a hot mess for FF.
I’m not sure exactly what that is. lolSwift could be exactly what he was in Detroit.

History repeating itself?I’m not sure exactly what that is. lolSwift could be exactly what he was in Detroit.
Something like a ferocious tiger on a 2-foot-long leash.I’m not sure exactly what that is. lolSwift could be exactly what he was in Detroit.
He likes to come out of the game with minor nicks. The Eagles coaching staff have a way of harnessing talent - I can totally see Swift being a very productive fantasy asset even if not a workhorse. And now we’ll see him stay healthy all of a sudden.

Do we really believe he chooses to do that? I'm not saying you're wrong. No, but according to his former coach Staley he doesn’t know the difference between pain and injury.Do we really believe he chooses to do that? I'm not saying you're wrong. I like glass is half full kind of people.Swift has proven himself the kind of player who can be a fantasy star on limited touches. He’s now on one of the best offenses in the league, playing for a team that wants to exploit his strengths as opposed to a team keeping him on a leash.
With significantly fewer touches, an RB like Swift on a team like Philly can equal the fantasy production of a workhorse on a struggling offense. Additionally, fewer touches, in theory, minimizes injury risk compared to an RB getting hammered by stacked boxes 20+ carries per game.
We know Swift has struggled to stay healthy, but there seems to have been something else going on behind the scenes in Detroit that contributed to his lack of usage. I’m betting a change of scenery to a winning team like Philly with strong leadership brings out the best in a reinvigorated Swift, who will be a highly efficient must-start fantasy asset throughout 2023, finishing as a top 15 RB in .5 ppr.
You also know what you get with injured players.FWIW Swift is from Philly. He’ll have the local sentiment if nothing else.
Keywords “As of today”.I’m a glass 3/4‘s full now with Swift. He will be playing for his next contract, this will be his last shot to get a nice payday, like his chances in the Philly offense. He’s already listed at the top of the Philly depth chart. If Jerick McKinnon can miraculously go from being made of glass, surely Swift can do the same. Hopefully he has a successful year and Philly signs him to a multi year contract. As as today, it’s Swift‘s job to lose.
Maybe Staley has no idea what he's talking about? He's a coach, not a doctor. No, but according to his former coach Staley he doesn’t know the difference between pain and injury.Do we really believe he chooses to do that? I'm not saying you're wrong. I'd be very surprised if Swift got a workload big enough to be top-10. This is a Super Bowl contender, they'll want to keep him fresh/healthy. I'm expecting a 10-12 touches a week for Swift.Defenses have to worry about AJ Brown and Davante, Dallas across the middle of the field, leaving a spy on Jalen and dealing with one of the best run blocking lines in the league. Swift will be a monster in this offense. The run game is made to bounce to the outside which I think will help Swift. Top 10 potential in this offense if healthy. I'm excited.
Counter argument to that is he's putting up fairly close to per game top 10 numbers on an average of 13 touches a game in his career.I'd be very surprised if Swift got a workload big enough to be top-10. He got a lot of receptions/dumpoffs from Goff though as part of those touches. Can’t expect the same with Hurts.Counter argument to that is he's putting up fairly close to per game top 10 numbers on an average of 13 touches a game in his career.I'd be very surprised if Swift got a workload big enough to be top-10. Not really an exorbitant amount. 9 carries and a little under 4 receptions a game.He got a lot of receptions/dumpoffs from Goff though as part of those touches. That’s a good point, but now that he has an explosive receiving weapon at RB, perhaps we can expect that from Hurts. Seems easy enough to work in a hand full of dump offs per game, giving the defense yet one more thing to worry about. He got a lot of receptions/dumpoffs from Goff though as part of those touches. Can't be worse then Jamaal.Jalen gonna steal all his tds
Was a year ahead of schedule on the other team prediction, but nailed everything else. I love to watch the guy play, when's he's able and willing, but he's approaching the danger zone for his career. Nice lottery ticket for Philly. Swift really needs a healthy year.Well, not sure how the Lions can even figure him into their plans moving forward. They certainly won’t be offering a large contract. I assume they will draft a rb next year. That’s incredibly unlikely. As talented as he is, he’ll be out of the league in 3 years.
So 2 years from now, he’ll be playing for someone else on a small 2-3 year deal, as a back-up. He’d be an expected injury away from being released.
Nothing. This is good for Philly not so much for ff. Good luck knowing when to start him.So what has changed for Swift except his team?I don’t mean this to be as harsh as it sounds but I don’t think you’ve ever had the proper view on Swift, so I’ll just chalk up your thoughts on the landing spot accordingly. As always with Swift it is short lived.Really? I’m pretty happy today.Swift owners are and will always be doing that.Gainwell ownersDon’t they already have a swift? To the Eagles.![]()
My worlds collided a bit on this trade because I'm quite fond of both of their talents. Even have them on team together which I'm about to draft Gibbs so some stuff about the trade had me a little conflicted.Penny on natural grass and 10 carries a game will also stay healthy. Full committee. Fantasy nightmare, but great for Philly.
Jalen surely will get his, but still alot of other rushing TDs to be had, last year Philly’s RBs rushed for 17 TDs.Jalen gonna steal all his tds
