RB Isiah Pacheco, KC (2 Viewers)

I was just offered McLaurin for Hunt by Pacheco owner. Hunt could be a league winner if Pacheco doesn't return but it's all about volume for Hunt right now. If Pacheco is coming back, I will make this trade. He just released a video of his workouts, but so did Chubb 6-weeks before his actual return. Any update on Pacheco would be great.

I picked up Hunt went they flew him in for a meeting a while ago so I have both and don't care how it plays out. From a organizational standpoint, if you are winning ball games (which they are), why rush him back? We argue over who looks better running for fantasy purposes but winning is winning IRL. Also, this was supposed to be a contract year for Pacheco. They could take their time so he doesn't have the chance to command a higher price tag in the offseason. Just thinking out loud.

there's a video Pacheco released of him on a treadmill. He's just walking, but he was supposedly cooling down after running.

to me, that's incredible to be able to walk this soon after breaking a tibia. When my kid broke his, he was in a cast for 5-6 months.

The lack of updates on him is making me nervous.
Id be fairly surprised if he plays at all during the rest of this fantasy season
Why?

The set expectation is out 6-8 weeks. That leaves plenty of the fantasy season for him to come back to.
I believe that to be optimistic and wrong
Can you explain why?
Because surgery required automatically makes the rehab process take longer than if surgery is not required.
If he had just broken the tibia and it was set, then I'd say 8 weeks would have been possible.
A compound fracture with ligament damage and surgery slows down every aspect of recovery.

Once he gets to the point of actually running (which he isn't at yet), he will still need at least several weeks to build up the strength in the injured area.

He's getting back to NFL football, not working in the office.

I personally don't think he will be useful this fantasy season

They reported no ligament damage though

ETA: also I saw reports of him running last week

So when Pacheco is back...old man Hunt relegated to 3rd down, spot duty role? His numbers have faded as the season goes on.
I wouldnt be dropping Hunt Just yet. Based on the surgery performed, it may still take some time for Pacheco to be back to his old self. I am betting you get at least one more good start out of Hunt. (maybe 2)

it is not a given that he gets a full workload either.

Sounds like Pacheco could be back next week vs. the Panthers. In that case, considering the injury he's coming back from + Hunt's production to date, how do you view Pacheco ROS?

Where does it sound like this? Curious as I am looking into a possible trade for him & if he's back that soon, his value is even higher, IMO (I was expecting him to be out the next 3 weeks while his 21 day window was open).

I would stay with this expectation.

Nothing about him playing this week seemed close. They got Carolina next week so if we are staying with the premise hes' not close now that's not exactly the game you rush. Maybe week 13 but that's the Friday game so early week and the Raiders. My guess is week 13 is possible but most likely week 14.

Also Dr. Chao has said he thinks he returns in December, which is that week 14 game.
