I get it, BUT be careful. Mostert is a legit #2 in that offense with of course amazing upside. Henry has a crappy o-line and no passing game to make the defense back off the LOS. Jacobs has a terrible o-line as well and a QB that doesn't scare anyone throwing down the field. I do like Jones.
Draft capital should be out the door at this point. Means next to nothing. You got a great price on Mostert and people overpaid for Henry and Jacobs.

It will not get better than this but I’m keeping Mostert until he breaks. Not many RBs have the potential to score like Mostert does in that O.
And if he breaks it's probably soon. And then his value is 0.
I'm poking around at minimum.

Obviously, see what you can get, but I'm skeptical it would be much (and none of the players you mention).
He was dirt cheap on draft day, and what has really changed?
On draft day, he was the presumed starter on an explosive offense. Still, nobody want him.
All the same draft day issues people had with him still remain. In some ways, it's worse. On draft day, nobody had seen Achane go for 200/4 with goal line touches. And Wilson is closer to a return.
I'm not trying to trade him, and will ride as long as it goes, but it's hard to imagine getting much.
I got Mark Andrews for him BEFORE his 4 TD game (and kind of regret it now).

He's never been anything but very good when he plays. That's never the issue with him.
Do you shop him? There's certainly a rate somebody will pay for him, and it's not worth the points you get for as long as you ride the ride.

I personally drafted him as a luxury back with this exact thought in mind.
I didn't even win one league (or won't likely win in one league) this week with him in the lineup because I hit a bit of a rough spell in terms of injuries and rostering Kamara also.
But he's been a boon so far and will continue for another week at least, so for now, it's like I have four starting RBs in my lineups.

I started him week 1.
Sat him week 2 for K Herbert (gross)
Sat him this week for Swift and K Williams (we’ll see but I guarantee you they aren’t matching his points combined)
I’m 0-3 and it’s directly related to not starting Mostert. Ask me anything about poor roster management on my upcoming podcast.

“Wilson will kill the value of Mostert and/or Achane when he returns” seems like a fallacy to me. He doesn’t do anything better than either of them, and the team has not been clear on when he will be back. I suspect his best chance at value is an injury to Mostert or Achane.

Reminds me of all the “Wilson will kill the value of Elijah Mitchell when he comes back” talk of 2021.
Mostert has always been the preferred play over Wilson. The fallacy that Wilson and Mostert split time is because they have always been in the injury overlap so it seems like they split. But in reality Mostert is always the guy when healthy and Wilson takes over when he is not. I see nothing different happening this year.

I'm usually pretty loose with FAAB and spend it early. That said, I'd bid all or nearly all of it for Achane if he were on my wire.

Not really. They were 1A and 1B. Mostert had a knee injury during one game leading to more carries in that game, and Mostert missed the next game. The same in game 17 with the thumb injury.
Wilson had more carries than Mostert in weeks 16, 17, & 18
Due to Mostert injury
Mostert played all 3 of those games
And according to the injury report going into each of those three games he was Limited in practice with a knee issue. He may have played but he wasn't 100%

Happens all the time, but when he is healthy he is in over Wilson. That was my sole point.

I don't pretend to know what the RB rotation will look like (nor can most people which is why MIA RB's are always so cheap).
But if I had to guess who's going to eat into Mostert's touches, I'd lean towards the 4.3 rookie that just ripped off 200 yards and 4 TD's at 11 YPC.
We really have no idea though. The beauty of this offense is that they can destroy a defense in many ways with many different players.

Mostert went over 500 carries last week, so he's now #1 in ypc in the Super Bowl era. He's been great this year, speed, breaking tackles. I'd rate him a tad higher than Achane this week cause I think he's a better pass protector and may get a few more touches.

Feels like a smash start with Achane going down. But does anyone else pause for concern with the amount of other running backs are entering the picture as well? 2-3 listed as great pickups on the waiver thread alone.

Are you talking about other running backs from the Dolphins? If so, as a Mostert owner I'm not worried. I'm OK with some sort of split knowing Mostert will get his. He's the best kind of fantasy player. Very straightforward. Play him when he's healthy, bench him when he's not. If he gets hurt then Wilson, the rookie or Ahmed have value. But even with splits Miami has already shown the last 2 years that 2 backs can eat at a time. Highly efficient. It's all about how long can Mostert stay healthy. Until then, ride with confidence.
Still a smash IMO. Brooks has been around all year and despite injuries to the other 3 backs hasn’t been a factor. Wilson just started practicing after 2 months or so off I’d think he’s far from a lock to even be active. Mostert got 73% of the snaps last time Ahmad played.
I took a flier on Achane and drafted him in our final round. Kept him until whenever it was Mostert was named starter (Week 2?) and dropped to make room for Mostert. Kicking myself after he ripped off two huge weeks, then he gets hurt. Another team grabbed him off waivers so I may try to make a run at him. I'd normally be pissed but grabbed Nacua off waivers so...every move can't always be a homerun. Hoping Keaton Mitchell is an Achane clone.

I took him in the 8th in my long time work redraft league. But I guess it could mean I took him 6 rounds too early (14 round draft)

I'm in only 10 team leagues and we draft pretty early in all of them...end of july because we do 24 per pick email drafts
I looked at that guy on the fa list for 2 weeks and never pulled the trigger
I traded him for Mark andrews after week 2. Pretty much ruined my season.
