RB Reuben Droughns Expects To Play? (1 Viewer)

After being burned by Stallworth last week, I'm a little gun shy. I checked the online Cleveland newspapers and there are a lot of "Droughan's MIGHT play" "SHOULD PLAY" "HAS A CHANCE TO BE BACK" etc.

Has there been any definite word yet? Homers?

Our lineups are locked at 1 so the late game status makes it even tougher.

The Plaine Dealer's game preview says he is playing.

(Rotoworld) Reuben Droughns (questionable, shoulder) practiced fully on Friday.

Impact: Droughns missed portions of practice earlier in the week but all the while remained confident he'd play. His owners can now be confident as well. He's worth using as a RB2 or a flex against Oakland's defense this week.

Bump. Can mods please pin up top? My only other viable RB2 option this week is Thomas Jones, and there isn't a lot of concrete info out there on Droughns. Thanks!!

Update:

Droughns (shoulder, questionable) was able to do more work Friday and it looks like he will give it a go Sunday against the Raiders after missing last week's game, ESPN's John Clayton reports.

Browns | Droughns expected to start Week 4

Fri, 29 Sep 2006 12:15:41 -0700

Scott Petrak, of the Medina Gazette, reports Cleveland Browns RB Reuben Droughns (shoulder) practiced Friday, Sept. 29, and is expected to start Week 4.

Plain Dealer

Droughns, who missed the Baltimore game with a shoulder injury suffered the week before, has made it through both practices this week and intends to play in Oakland. This is from Friday though? LINK

Just read thru the Friday Cleveland Plain Dealer. Rube practiced fine.

On a brighter note, two players were upgraded from questionable to probable and four others who are questionable made it through the whole practice for the first time this week. The two upgraded players were guard Cosey Coleman and safety Brian Russell. The four who practiced without restrictions were running back Reuben Droughns, defensive end Simon Fraser, receiver Joe Jurevicius and end Orpheus Roye. Linebacker Willie McGinest and tight end Kellen Winslow Jr. are both still questionable and both missed portions of team practice.

There is a radio report saying that Reuben is starting today.

No link yet.
