RB Tyrone Tracy Jr., NYG (3 Viewers)

It wouldn't surprise me in the least if Tracy is still used sparingly and they allow Dart to take over the Skattebo role. And of course, Dart will get hurt too.
I hate reading this kind of talk but I dont disagree, thats why they should have achieved clarity with Daboll, he'll run him into the ground to save his own hide. Extend him or fire him but someone needs to be Custodial to Dart.

After Tracy took over the lead role last year in week 5, he was RB14 over the rest of the season. And that was on a much worse Giants' offense than they've had since Dart took over.

The first half of those games after he took over the lead role were even more impressive, as he was a mid/low RB1 averaging nearly 5ypc and catching lots of passes. His first 6 games as a starter actually outperformed Cam's first 6 games as a starter in every metric except TDs and energy. And again, on a much worse Giants' offense.

He hit a bit of a rookie wall at the end of the year, but this year gets the advantage of starting his lead back role in week 9, so that's probably less of a concern.

Again, Cam is fun, but I'm not really convinced he's some incredible RB that can't be replaced (outside of energy). If you take out the TDs, which were just much less plentiful for the entire team last year, there's really been no difference between Tracy and Cam's production as the starter.

but Skat is so cute and cuddly

I think Tracy will be serviceable but I packaged him with Sutton to a RB needy team for an upgrade at WR and a handcuff to one of my RBs.
Who’s the WR upgrade?
Some people may not think so but AJ Brown.
It’s worth a shot. A.J. Brown theoretically has a higher upside than Sutton even if we haven’t seen it so far. Plus, there are trade rumors about Brown so it’s possible he ends up in a better situation for his receiving numbers.

There is no convincing those who think differently.

Looks like Singletary is the lead back.
I thought I struck gold getting Tracy off the waiver wire.
Or at the very least a starting RB.
:sadbanana:

This is what I was saying in the game threads Tracy Jr. just doesn't run as tough as he did last year. He's not really a big juke/"make you miss" guy, and he's been going down on 1st contact a lot and doesn't have a ton of toughness. For a converted WR, he doesn't have the best hands either.

If the line (which has been decent this year) can open up lanes, Tracy can run very well with a head of steam.

@JohnnyU posted major doubts about Tracy and he even is the OP on this thread/player so he must have caught his attention at some point

-I think the Giants will have some bigger days in coming weeks, better box scores ahead
