I seem to loose MANY close games in this group - so I think the single PK choice may haunt more than a few guys.

My past attempts at RB2BC have not gone well. The risk mitigator in me does prefer a single strong player to fill that RB2 role, but your right that you can probably get by with a few consistant role (3rd down or short yardage) players to contribute to that slot. The key word being consistant.

I totally agree with both sides of this statement. I have waited on RB more than a time or two and not had success. However, the concern for the hit that you take at WR, TE, and QB always wins my internal arguaments and I wind up doing it again. This year, I am still getting comments about the weakness of my RB squad EVEN THOUGH I went with a slightly early RB 1 pick and selected five guys that I thought all were capable of being involved. I agree with the critique that several have had folks drafted to replace the ones I drafted, but I think that Moreno and P. Thomas have the skills to stay involved in a RBBC role and keep me afloat. There are just so many RB injuries that taking four, particularly two studs and two wishful thought types seems like a really bad strategy. To me, it all comes down to the fact that we have 14 owners that are all qualified, we have only 18 slots so you have to make desisions on where to skimp, we have 2 point ppr TE scoring so you can't ignore them, and you just have to pick your poison. Personally I think going with one PK is the risk that several adopted this year after reviewing past results. The fact that several did this actually does reduce the exposure. But, with 18 man rosters, each team is exposed and the key is no wasted picks and dodging the injury bullet.

Not looking great now with LeShoure out. Clark's QB possibly done for the year, Clayton in the PuP, Tate released, Hartley out for 8 games and BMW in Seattle purgatory...Need Hardesty to step up and Decker or Arrington to emerge.

PRE KICKOFF ANALYSIS

4.06 ShadowMaster - Matt Schaub, QB8, HOU

9.09 ShadowMaster - Tim Tebow, QB18, DEN

Very happy with Schaub. Doesn't look like I have a backup beyond wildcat work.

1.09 ShadowMaster - LeSean McCoy, RB7, PHL

2.06 ShadowMaster - Matt Forte, RB11, CHI

11.09 ShadowMaster - Ronnie Brown, RB44, MIA

18.06 ShadowMaster - Tim Hightower, RB58, WASH

Even more rock solid than in April. Hightower is a 3rd starter who catches and Brown gives me a handcuff and the best wildcat back in football.

5.09 ShadowMaster - Percy Harvin, WR23, MIN

6.06 ShadowMaster - Deion Branch, WR30, NE

7.09 ShadowMaster - Davone Bess, WR37, MIA

8.06 ShadowMaster - Jordy Nelson, WR41, GB

12.06 ShadowMaster - Anthony Armstrong, WR62, WAS

13.09 ShadowMaster - Golden Tate, WR70, SEA

Harvin got a default promotion to WR1 - hopefully he can handle it because he may be the brightest star in what will be a struggling bunch.

I have a solid PPR WR2 in Bess, but everyone else will see an unknown ammount of targets. Branch and Nelson seem the best candidates to save my ### here as they play on good teams who score alot and could scheme for them on a given week. Armstrong should get a few long balls. Tate looks like a bust.

3.09 ShadowMaster - Vernon Davis, TE5, SF

10.06 ShadowMaster - Tony Moeaki, TE20, KC

Down to only Davis who plays in a bad offense. Hopefully they'll feed this TE to move the chains.

Growkowski, Prater, Dallas, Tenneessee

Solid

Outlook here is partly sunny. I love my starting QB, starting TE, RB stable and utility players. The WRs bring me back down to earth a bit.

Managed to squeak through camp and preseason without any major issues. Boss not likely to contribute anytime soon, but Kendricks looks like he'll make up for it. Overall, I'm feeling good about the squad but obviously the big elephant in the room is my lack of cover at QB, PK and DST. Took a major gamble flying without a safety net at those positions so we'll see how it shakes out.

Good luck to all. Is the site going to be at ffplace again? Thanks guys, have an awesome season!

Yep. I've been waiting for the two MBSLs to finish so I can throw all the rosters into my matrix at once. Should have it up by Saturday.

2011 is now up. I've done some adjustments, which I think definitely helps the readability. Anything any might want added, let me know.

One thing though. I seem to remember that rerolling divisions was mentioned at some point during the offseason. If that happened, I can't find it in any of the threads. If it actually happened, the way I have it set allows this change relatively easily. If it didn't then just ignore this.

I don't remember a division realignment discussion but then I am not on the boards much after WSLs finish until SSLs start, so I may have missed it. I think in general it would be good for some slight movement each year just to keep things fair and fresh, and random, but don't know if we have to do it this year.

Still have Raiders to play in tonight on the good side, but

Amendola out for the year on the bad side

How about this idea for next year on........

Freaks = Even Slots

Addicts = Odd Slots

Balances the draft slots between divisions and it will randmoly mix us all up each year.

I really thought I had Pimpin' on the ropes after I put up 154 points and he was down by 14+ going into MNF. And then Gronkowski happened.

Man what a mash unit my team has become. No kicker and only Grant and Hardesty at RB. Shooting for 0-13. That gets me the first pick next year right???

Just a quick shout out to Mr. Cam Newton, who was selected as my back-up QB with my last pick at 18.5. Thanks Mr. Newton!

I could have a tough week here with Gates still out and Watson on bye, no TE points and Amendola joining Shipley out for the year (along with Kaeding).

Hopefully the great RB and QB trios can score enough for a W

While Twilight's program gives me the W for the lead after Sunday, all three of rzr's players going to night will have to sleep through the game to keep me ahead

Wake up you HOGS!
Fortunately they didn't slop quite enough for you
I lost count of the failed red zone targets for Marshall. Sanchez looked to avoid Keller on one red zone pass where he was wide open near the goal line. I just don't understand why the Jets do not use Keller more!Congrats on the win!

Okay, who is the lucky stiff who gets to play me this week?

QB - Fitzpatrick on bye and Orton on the bench

RB - FJax and Woodhead on bye

WR - already had Amendola and Shipley OUT for the year and now Maclin on bye

TE - Gates has been a no show for a while - who knows about this week?

and of all things I have no Kicker points this week - Kaeding already OUT for the season and now CBass has a hammy issue!

:hey: What's funny is I saw what you posted and said, "Boy I hope it's me!" And sure enough... it is! Of course, that means your teamwill win by 30, despite all that...

The OUT as in Out for the season disease continues to eat away at my roster - today claiming a clear MVP candidate in Fred Jackson................FJax joins DMac, Amendola, Shipley and Kaeding on the plank squad of Captain Hook's 2011 crew.

Can someone refresh my memory on how weeks 14+ work?
Wk 14: Wildcards matchup. Wildcards are purely based on points, so 5-7 Radballs and PAE are the Freaks wildcards right now (PAE has a 45 pt lead). Addicts is whoever doesn't win the division (pts are the tiebreaker) and Pictus (no one else is close.)Wk 15 is Div winners vs the div. Wild card winner. 16 is the Championship game.
