Roy Williams Vs. TO (1 Viewer)

After looking through an upcoming draft, like many others, I am faced with making a decision on these two. Hopefully it doesn't pan out that way though.

Let me start by saying I am a Lions homer. So I have to try and look at this objectively. Some projectionists have TO higher, some have him lower, but they are ranked about the same everywhere. TO had hand surgery so should catch more balls (PPR). Roy is younger but seems always nicked. I anticipate the Cowboys to be in the redzone more often due to their better running game and defense. OTOH, the Lions will RARELY be running out the clock in the fourth quarter, leaving me with the excitement of watching my #1 WR play catch in the fourth quarter every week.

Are TO and Roy close enough that a Lions homer could take Roy and not feel guilty?

Roy is very good. But when healthy, T.O. is the best fantasy receiver in football. He appears healthy right now. I see no way Roy should be drafted ahead of T.O.

I'm a Lions homer and love Roy Williams to death, but unless you're talking dynasty, TO must be taken first. Neither one are models of health (very few players are), but you have to assume both will be healthy, and TO is a lock for 10+ tds this year, probably along the lines of 13 or 14.

TO seems to have been nicked up a lot lately but I think you still have to take him before Williams. My question is will Jackson take catches away from Williams?

Are you playing for fun, or for money? If you're playing for fun (or just low stakes), take Roy. The goal, after all, is to have fun. If you're going for money, I think you'd be crazy not to take TO.

Roy. I have him outscoring Owens by a wide margin this year. That's not to say I am down on Owens, because I'm not.

Lions homer here as well...but this is T.O. in a landslide (redraft leagues).

I'm high on Roy Williams this year, but I'm higher on Owens. Owens was a top 2 receiver in his first year in a new offense while undergoing a quarterback change during a controversy plagued year. Imagine what he should be able to do with less controversy, a head coach that likes him, and stability at quarterback.

It's about even IMO. I would just go ahead and take the one that you want and not worry about TO getting suspended for being TO.

The primary receiver in a Mike Martz offense seldom scores double digit TDs. In his nine years as the head coach or offensive coordinator for the Rams the #1 WR has scored double digit TDs 3 times (9 TDs only once). TO OTOH has scored 13 or more TDs six times in the last 9 seasons, including at least one time for three different teams.

Some consider him an injury risk, which is legitimate, but TO has scored 13 TDs in 14 games three times in his career too.

Love him or hate him, the guy is an earner and he has fewer question marks than almost any WR on the board, including Roy Williams.

TO will be the best fantasy WR this year.
Wanna bet? If TO isn't the best fantasy receiver, you have to start a thread saying Rev is the greatest fantasy mind on the board and GoinDeep is a lost cause. If he is, I'll switch that around for you.Do we have a deal?

How in the name of Marv Alberts, did you assemble that team in your sig, and with a 12 team league no less?.. Also, would the other 11 teams consider another league?Back to the subject, T.O. in redraft and R.W. in dynasty. T.O. could T.O. out at any point, add that to age, recent injury woes and you have to go w/ the younger player playing for the best passing offensive mind ever to hit FF.

Here's my league link: http://football16.myfantasyleague.com/2007/home/37396I think I'll have to take my main FF team off my sig. I've gotten lots of crap for assembling this team. What pisses me off the most is that I haven't won the league in 3 years! :wall:

no one has mentioned the fact that Roy might not even be the #1 WR on his team by mid season...

Calvin should play a big part in this decision
