According to NFL Network's Albert Breer, Santonio Holmes (knee/quad, questionable) will "try to give it a go" Sunday in Week 2.

We'll know if Holmes is playing when inactive lists roll in around 11:30 ET, but Breer's early morning news is positive. For now owners should keep Holmes penciled into fantasy lineups. He has an excellent matchup versus Jacksonville, and comes in as out No. 14 ranked receiver for Week 2.

Holmes (knee) told teammates he will play and the Jets fully expect him to, NFL Network's Jason La Canfora reports.

Spin: We'll still want to wait for the official inactive report, but it looks like Holmes will at least attempt to get on the field.
