Shark Poolers...Help Us, Help You (1 Viewer)

***Official*** Steelers owner Dan Rooney named Ambassador to Ireland, Congratulations!!!

:porked:

I'm already on record with how silly I think this all is.
I understand that opinion. As I said, I'm sure we'll lose a few folks with this. We just think the net overall effect will be a better Shark Pool. J
You and I have a different view of what's "better." But, it's your board, so you win.I'm just a :goodposting: about it because it will dramatically shape the dynamic that has brought you so much success and, for many of us, a great mix of info and entertainment.
Understood. We just differ on where the board is I think. I think we've drifted significantly away from what brought us whatever success we've had. I'm trying to get us back to that.J
I sincerely wish you best as in achieving this, however i think you are going to need to clone yourself....

Would you guys trade Lynch and Avery in a PPR dynasty for LT, 1.2, and 2010 1st? I don't know if I'm over reacting to this potential suspension, but have real concerns about Lynch...should I take that deal? --------------------Duke 2009 ACC Champions!NCAA record for most wins in a decade! thanks for the reply Joe

Opinions, ideas and facts are hard to decipher but yet good for the discussion here.

Any chance, when all is said and done, one of you guys can post a sort of results summary? modified rules or somesuch?

Huge one I can't believe anyone hasn't said this before (will work in all forums alos):

If there was an ability for me to :goodposting: and un:blackdot: a thread w/o actually posting :banned: , it would declutter many threads, and likely save FBG some bandwidth.

An example would be the way the google rss reader works. If I see a topic that I'm interested in, I can "star" it, then I could click an option to "see all starred topics". Then, later, if I'm done with it...I can "unstar" it.

At the end of the day, it would actually be better (including the unstar feature) as :blackdot: , and would eliminate many unnecessary posts.

Fantastic post. :lmao: for good measure.

Thanks TF. Software stuff like this is out of our hands but I'll ask about it and see if something like this might become available in the future.J

Don't we already have this ability by subscribing to threads? Or am I misunderstanding? Under Options/Track this topic.

Subsribing to a thread gives you an email whenever the thread is updated (or daily digest or a few other options). What I'm talking about is the ability to come into the forum and mark something so I can look at it when I have more time...but without having to actually post in the thread (I for one can't stand when a thread has 80 :blackdot: in there)

As Tigerfan said below, 2 completely different items. When I post in a thread, I can quickly scroll down the left side and find those threads and those are the ones I usually look to first. There are other threads I follow but haven't posted in and it would be nice to be able to mark those similarly without having to go in and post the :blackdot: . Subscribing to a thread gives me replies as they come (or however often I want to be alerted) doesn't help at all when I'm scanning the front page and looking for threads to read.

You're using RSS reader at Google, use the RSS feed from here then. And just unsubscribe to the feed (through google)when ya don't want it.scratch that, sorry only one Pool RSS feed that I see

OK, late to the party as usual and have read maybe one page of posts, but...

Is there any way to set up the board with check boxes to indicate "dynasty" or "redraft," "PPR" or "non-PPR" in the initial post menu as a means of sorting? It would seem to me that if you had the board set up so that people could rapidly zero in on treads for, say, Chris Johnson that apply to their leagues, it would radically increase the board utility.

The morning injury threads are invaluable - do NOT change these, at all, ever.
