How about the sequel to be set in a County Fair. Instead of Sharks in Funnel Clouds

Sharks in Funnel Cakes
Nah, if you are going County Fair, there is only one way to go. Hillbilly zombies. Anything else just wouldn't make sense.
There is a 90's movie called Redneck Zombies that is sensational.

Did anyone predict that ending? I was like, what is he doing going back into the shark? So much stupid goodness.

Watching it! Spectacularly bad so far! The brunette is a hottie.

What a glorious film. Tara Reid looks god awful.

I'm amazed they were able to afford Tara Reid. She must have cost them at least a fifth of Jack and some Jager Bombs...
:lmao:
I like how Ian Sanders dives into the mouth, chainsaws out, fights his way outside of the shark, reaches back in and pulls the woman out. After all of that exhaustive effort, he then just touches her face a few times, rolls over and gives up. Then the other guy was like, "Hey, wait! Maybe I can do something!" and three seconds later he siphons water out of her with his lips and she's saved.

I love the different weather throughout. Some scenes were perfectly sunny days. And just before the wave hit the pier they showed a pulled back shot and there were barely any waves. And lets not forget the ferris wheel!

Can I watch this with my 8 year old? Sounds like fun.
It's pretty bloody.

You know your kid, but I'm not sure I really had any appreciation or enjoyment of purposefully "bad" movies when I was 8. So I'm not sure it's something I'd risk giving my kid a fear of sharks attacking him in the living room for.

If that's the case I will watch alone. Also he is in the ocean six days a week this time of year so that may be a problem. Thanks!

Yeah, I'm not sure your 8 year old is ready to watch Ian Ziering cut his way through a shark with a chainsaw, blood spurting everywhere. It is actually a very gory movie. The effects are just so bad, that it's funny. However, I am not sure an 8 year old would really understand the cheese factor and could find it rather terrifying.

"Sharknado 2" is happening.

Syfy announced it has ordered a sequel to "Sharknado," its 2013 TV movie that set the Internet ablaze, set to debut in 2014. This time, the sharks will rain from the sky in New York. No word on whether Ian Ziering and Tara Reid will reprise their "Sharknado" roles, however both have said they're down to battle the superstorm of sharks once again. Syfy has confirmed no casting decisions have been made at this time.

"Sharknado 2" is just the working title, the movie will get an official title with an appropriate subtitle after a Twitter contest. To enter, fans can tweet their subtitle to @SyfyMovies using the tag #Sharknado. Syfy will select the best submission and use it as the subtitle for "Sharknado 2."

“Every once in a while, there is a perfect storm -- on television. The fans are clamoring for a sequel. Or perhaps it will be a prequel," Thomas Vitale, executive vice president of programming and original movies at Syfy, said in a statement. "What we can guarantee is that 'Sharknado 2' will be lots of fun. We’ll be announcing more details very soon. But we didn’t want our fans to worry they wouldn’t get their fill of more shark fin, I mean, fun next year.”

Awesome. They should quickly kill off Tara Reid and the son. Terrible actors standing in the way of true love between the two likable (and decently acted) characters... 90210 and the stripper.

:goodposting:

That stood out to me the most and had me laughing my ### off as it went down in almost every outdoor scene.

The Ferris Wheel was awesome!!!

In before someone submits: Sharknado 2: Electric Boogaloo.

God Bless Syfy for re-airing this last night. One of the few things in this world that actually exceeded its considerable hype. Two hours well spent. Airing it on one of the few nights of the year when there's no sports on TV was a nice added bonus.

Also outstanding- this review by Holly Anderson at Grantland.

lol, I did not realize it was re-aired last night, it was on when I got home from work though.... apparently my 6 year old daughter figured ou out how to work the DVR ;)

Finally getting around to this on the DVR.

Sequel needs to include zombies. I don't see, being about 30 minutes in now, how working this angle into the plot line will be a stretch for the production team to sell me on.

Watched it from the DVR again last night with the wife, daughter and MOM who was visiting from Ohio. :shark:

this movie needs the "Rocky Horror" treatment and have audience participation/ dialogue responses.. oh, and a drinking game..

May have been mentioned already, but how come the tornadoes didn't pick up any other sea life besides hungry sharks? Flying jelly fish could do some damage to citizens too.
