Snowmageddon 2022 (2 Viewers)

Fine, I'll get off this topic. But honestly, I've lived through at least 10 or more storms of greater than 12 inches and I've always waited till the end. I would rather work harder for a short period of time then less hard and go outside five times the same day.

Bunch of little #####es in here if you ask me!
If its pure powder I can go either way... A storm like this one is snow, rain, freezing rain - the weight adds up quickly.

Who didn't go to work today?
I left at lunch Tuesday. I may not make it in until Monday depending on how much warming we get late today/early tomorrow. I am working from home though.
Same here, but doing very little work. I don't bring my laptop home very often and forgot the power supply. My 'work' from home is noe limited to occasional e-mail checking.
I wish my when I responded from the iPhone it looked the same as it does from outlook on computer... Then we'd all be golden.

Wish I had thought of that. Actually made a couple of sales. Got a call later to put the finishing touches on a 30ish k camera bid along with designing out our new MSP program we are rolling out.

Bunch of little ####### that don't mind going outside a few times a day. Quit being an even bigger #### and enjoy the outdoors.
:lmao: Love ya Buddy. A big snow day for me is not a day to go outside. It's a day to drink, eat, have a little relations with the wife and go outside as little as humanly necessary. But I see your point and I see that I'm outnumbered.

I am all in with all of the above. I will have check with my wife about have relations with your wife though. I shall report back.

I think we are done with the snow here in south Charlotte. Snowfall has stalled, temp up to 32. Forecast calls for p

More precipitation, which I'm sure will be sleet/frozen rain. I think I need to hurry up and re-shovel asap.

I'm not into the "shovel every few inches" gig, but waiting for the full compliment of fluffy, featherlight snow this AM to get rained on and transformed into a water logged, white bog of heart attack inducing #### is much less desired IMHO.

And I'm over 50. Way too many apparently healthy guys found lying in their driveways...

Still getting flakes here kind of a light snow drizzle if you will. But yeah it is supposed to change over to a mix, then straight up possibly freezing rain we get through the day.

I wouldn't be so sure...coming down heavier now than it did yesterday here.

I think my DirecTV dish has taken on too much snow. #### is getting real.
Speaking of getting real. My buddy who lives in the sticks outside of Clover has the following issues: less than a quarter of smoke and into their last case of beer. He lives on a road that isn't maintained by the state and they have gotten hammered with snow and ice. He may be going to snowshoes,

the shark move if shoveling is to get it while its powder before wintry mix weighs it down.

If you have a blower, you wait and get it all at once

Oof. Just moved 500 cubic feet of insanely heavy snow. And still have the mountain of plowed snow between my driveway and the street. #SuburbanLifeinWinter

I'm with the shovel multiple times crowd. We have about 10-11" of wet heavy stuff. I'd say a lot of my shovelfuls were in the 30-50lb range. It's supposed to sleet for 2-4 hours more later and then snow some more.

Yeah, that plowed stuff sucks so bad. And with it being wet, it's insanely heavy. The problem is that with it being so wet and compact, it could start solidifying into a solid block of ice.

My lats are taking a serious beating. #alltoreup

The worst is when you're just finishing a long bout of shoveling and just as you turn from the end of the driveway, the plow comes and blocks your driveway with 2+ feet of snow that wasn't there before. Thanks Mr. Plow! I of course smile and wave since I want the plow coming up my street, just saying the new shoveling is the suxor.

Picked up here again, coming down pretty good. Looking more and more like tomorrow is just out of the question. And my wife is going to run out of her meds if I can't get out to get them. Hope we get some of that melt tomorrow.

Our side of the street always gets the plowed snow and the least amount of sun. The other side is usually clean and melted days before ours. I always leave a small wall so the plow doesn't push everything into my driveway.

Everything the plow plows ends up on the side of the road. Which includes across driveways. My streets aren't super wide, maybe that's the issue.

We used to be on the "good" side of the street. Before all of these plows got equipped with the new fangled, easy adjust rigs most only directed snow to the the drivers right/passenger side. Living on a hill, the plows would come down our side first, than come down the middle burying everyone on the other side.

Now the plow guys are equal opportunity driveway buryers... :(

My shoulder feels like it's going to fall off. They're calling for another 4-6" tonight. I guess after shoveling 18", 4-6 will feel like nothing.

Oh, and another 2-4" tomorrow night. That would make the total close to 30".

Didn't know Maryland was in the Snow BeltTM, did ya?

Every three years. My problem is that I got a snow blower two years ago that had a little bit of gas in it and I didn't use it for two years. Now when I need it, it hasn't started. I need to have the jets of the carburetor cleaned since I could only get to one when I took it a part. What a waste.

Passed on the opportunity to install heat coils in my driveway when I redid the whole thing 2 years ago....damn I wish I did it now. Before then we had mainly mild winters here on Long Island, since then—Big Bad Nemo last year and now this winter.

Looks like the local weathermen in Pittsburgh didn't do a good job with their forecast. We were told that most of the area wouldn't see much if anything at all but we've gotten a couple inches and it is still coming down.

Nothing near what most of you guys are dealing with but still ****** me off cause they had me convinced I wasn't going to have to shovel when I got home tonight.

The sleet has turned to snow finally here and there is a solid layer of ice over everything. I even had a tree branch fall in my back yard.

The kids schools will most likely be cancelled tomorrow as well giving them a six day weekend.

I also get the feeling the 1800 flowers guy isn't going to make a delivery tomorrow.

Just got done with 2nd round of shoveling. Glad I went out yesterday, it would have really sucked doing the 10" of heavy, icy snow. I'll hit it again at about 4:00 today to clear off the last bit of slush and then put down some salt and I should be done.

Its starting to warm up and getting melty. Snowfall has stopped - I think we're done, now its a matter of getting the roads cleared. Also, school is cancelled for tomorrow.

I was running around in the yard with the dog last night and a big tree limb fell on my head. I was knocked out for a while, not sure how long, but I was freezing when I woke up and my jeans were completely soaked from laying in the snow. My head is killing me today but I have all these complex math problems in my head and I think I can play the piano now.

Where was the dog?

Licking my face.
