Doesn't offer Philly as a map option, but looking at the NYC map has us on the higher end of the predictions at 18"-19".nice - anything on our area Batsy?NYC predictions in detail:

Model runs:9 PM (NAM)Right now it seems for Philly the prediction is anywhere between 8" and 18"
I guess we find out with this 9 PM model?
Neighborhood kids with shovels are everywhere, rookie. I haven't lifted a shovel in 20 years.Of course weve never seen 30 inches in NYC in my lifetime. So shoveling is gonna be a nightmare.
I wish i could find kids in my neighborhood to shovel. I used to love going out to shovel. At least in my area seems they dont come around as much.Neighborhood kids with shovels are everywhere, rookie. Wow lucky you.Flights into Philly cancelled tomorrow already (some anyway)
My lady is stuck in Tampa - could be worse places to be stuck, but that sucks.
Travel is going to be completely f'd up the east coast until mid week
hell i did it into my twenties, easy money after work and a good substitute for the gym.I wish i could find kids in my neighborhood to shovel. I used to love going out to shovel. We had 2 in one year I think. Unusual to get more than a few inches and we got buried twice. Wasn't one of those but a more recent snow I was out shoveling the drive (gravel drivewayNeighborhood kids with shovels are everywhere, rookie. Stocked it up this afternoon. Big line at the gas station. All the supermarkets were mob scenes and picked over. Folks are taking this pretty seriously.Otis, did you fill up the O-mobile with gas?
Yes, I am all set here but a power outage will suck.Forecasting 2 feet here in CT. I am fine with anything as long as the power doesn't go out. Times like these I wish I had a garage.
As long as the LIE doesn't get shut down again.Power going out will be scary with sub 20 degree temps outside. I believe our gas fireplaces will still light with power out, we'll find out. If so, well crowd the girls into the den and turn on a fire and hope for the best. The Land Rover has a full tank, so I believe we should be able to get out in an emergency if we need to.
Good luck all.
Trenton area - 14" to 24". That's up from our earlier guesstimation of 4-8.Right now it seems for Philly the prediction is anywhere between 8" and 18"

Oof. About dead central of the dark green. I stocked up with a few bottles today along with some batteries. Might need a couple more bottles at this point.NYC predictions in detail:

If this is anything close to as advertised, I would fully expect the LIE to close to all but emergency vehicles. Only question will be how early will they close it? I'll guess 9 or 10 tomorrow night to give a full chance to people to get home, but obviously the pace of the storm will be the key factor. As long as the LIE doesn't get shut down again.Power going out will be scary with sub 20 degree temps outside. There is a deli across the street from my house that wouldn't close if we got 17 feet of snow.Oof. About dead central of the dark green. Going to be some tasty Cappuccino's so long as we have electricity.
If we're getting two inches an hour from 2pm to 6pm, that will be enough to close it. Wasn't the X-Mas storm of a couple years ago the same as this? People were straight up trapped on the LIE in Suffolk. If this is anything close to as advertised, I would fully expect the LIE to close to all but emergency vehicles. We picked up a 6500w generator after Sandy and have 18-20 gallons of fuel on hand. Should the generator fail for whatever reason, we are all set gear wise and have food, water and enough firewood for two or three days. My biggest fear in this old house is pipe freeze. Don't fail me, Briggs & Stratton! The problem on long island is jot the snow it is the wind taking down frozen and/or weighted down power lines. The infrastructure here is a joke. Second to only the people running the utility. LIPA is gone but the infrastructure is the same garbage. My house loses power in a tame tropical storm. So that is the problem. Learned from sandy. Best thing to do is fill cars with gas. Have an extra can on hand for the blower. Stack up firewood. Power goes out have enough fireweood to burn for two days. Enough water and food for five days. Two days after the storm roads are passable to move on to a place with power and heat. Good luck

NAM just finished, way east with bulk of precip. Misses Philly completely, "only" 10" in NYC, BOS still gets buried. One of many models to run tonight.Model runs:9 PM (NAM)Right now it seems for Philly the prediction is anywhere between 8" and 18"

I've lived in snow/ice country in the past and we'd let the water stream (on low setting). That and wrap them if you can.Good point. Meteorologists still saying to ignore the NAM after 24hr that's its pulling the storm too far east and that the euro run will hold true.NAM just finished, way east with bulk of precip. It does have a strange solution with 3 low pressure areas depicted off shore instead of one. Could be incorrect. Euro has had remarkable run to run consistency showing the massive amounts so tonight's run will be interesting. One thing for certain, this type of east coast storm, "Miller B", is probably the toughest to correctly computer model and human forecast.Meteorologists still saying to ignore the NAM after 24hr that's its pulling the storm too far east and that the euro run will hold true.NAM just finished, way east with bulk of precip. Not according to the 10 o'clock news I just watched.Looks like it's moving way east, the totals for LI and NYC bumped down to 12-18 (from 30 I saw earlier).
