What's the environment out there like? Are your local shops still open? If you do go, are the employees under precaution with masks or that kind of thing?

I have not, but I am in need and was curious of the same thing.

I went at the beginning of last week.  It was my last outside activity that didn't involve groceries.  I got it cut shorter than usual because I figured it would be a while.

 
Got mine cut a week ago yesterday and no one was masked.  Suspect that will be different for my next cut scheduled for 5 weeks from now.  Probably going to have to go with my shoulder-length college cut from 1988 for the next 3-4 months.

 
All the shops here are closed -- terrible timing. I'm stuck growing an unsightly mullet until someone opens back up.

I've been a week or two overdue for mine.

The barber is on my block, about 100' away. Considering it if they're open...but not a real priority for the time being.

Like Marco, will likely go with longer hair until the wife complains.

Let me rephrase...until the wife complains about the hair. She's complaining about everything else so far. Work from home is awesome!

 
My wife cuts mine, since my hairline resembles a tide that's not coming back in again. Buzz it close, I'm good for a month.

same for me. my guy said he's staying open until someone comes and bars the doors.

My regular shop Rick's had a fire late last year and was supposed to reopen last week.  Bad timing because the city shut everything down this Tuesday.

One of the barbers from Rick's was loaned a chair at another Filipino-run place two blocks away called ****'s International so I had been going there instead temporarily.

My stylist is one block over, but I’m considering not leaving my bedroom.

 
I saw my local barbershop was open today but I’ve been slowly growing my hair out anyway and figure this isn’t he perfect chance to go all in

 
SA's lockdown excludes hair salons. Don't get it, but ok. I'm scheduled the first Saturday in April. We'll see what the situation is when the time comes. I'll likely check in with the gal that cuts my hair and make sure she's fine and dandy. If not... no clue what I'll do.

 
Got in for a cut today.  If they were closed I was probably just going to buzz it all off. It's coming at some point anyway.

 
mine is open, they are posting a list on the door and only letting in 4 at a time. Sign up and go wait in your car until you are called. I'll prob get mine done tomorrow

Went yesterday before they shut them down, Charlotte, NC. It was interesting. Only me, 2 customers, 2 cutters. Then about 5 people came in, one couple sat as far from as they could. Other couple got signed in and said they would be back when it was their time. Couple that stayed, the woman had a mask on.

 
My regular place shut down to just one barber at a time for now, usually 6 going at once.  I just cancelled my appointment that I was supposed to have for today since I'm WFH indefinitely.  I guess I'm growing my hair out, and I'll measure the length of time away from the office by the length of my hair.

 
Got a haircut on Saturday, March 7th. Old-man barber, ex-military, who thinks Fox News is too far left for his tastes.

I know he was open into the following week ... don't know if he's open now.
