I'm flexing Ware over Jeremy Hill and Jordan Reed this week, Non-PPR.
Took him in the 7th again, I'm all in.Took him in the 10th last week and and in the 7th in two separate drafts today. I'm drafting tomorrow and will likely aim to grab him in the 7th again.
The season starts in 2 days and Charles hasn't taken a hit yet. This is a no-brainer.
Did you watch the video though?so I'm basically the only person in this forum that believes the Ware hype has gone too far with these 7th and 8th round reaches...fine by me, overhyped island, population of 1.
Uhh, you must not have actually read the last 1-2 days of this thread if you think you're on an island. Or you just like drama. Or you enjoy pretending to be contrarian.so I'm basically the only person in this forum that believes the Ware hype has gone too far with these 7th and 8th round reaches...fine by me, overhyped island, population of 1.
Yeah, I'm honestly perplexed as to why he's so down on a guy who is being drafted as a bench warmer. Not sure why anyone wouldnt draft a guy in the 8th round who could be a top five RB next Sunday. Good lotto ticket if the 29 year old stud pops another ligament. Whats not to like trip?
Im in an 8 teamer too. We drafted very early due to vacation schedules. I dropped Ivory and picked up Ware on waiver.8 team league drafted tonight. Took Ware at 14.2.![]()
Granted, only 8 teams skews things a bit.
Scoring system? Keeper rules? Would like more info.Im in an 8 teamer too. We drafted very early due to vacation schedules. I dropped Ivory and picked up Ware on waiver.
Nope, you are not.so I'm basically the only person in this forum that believes the Ware hype has gone too far with these 7th and 8th round reaches...fine by me, overhyped island, population of 1.
No, not the only person, but certainly the most whiny about it. Don't draft him. Ta da! Problem solved.so I'm basically the only person in this forum that believes the Ware hype has gone too far with these 7th and 8th round reaches...fine by me, overhyped island, population of 1.
agree. Got him off the wire last weekGlad I have Ware on my team but I'm also glad I got him in the 12th before the hype started. I would love to see him do well all season but I an just afford to sit back and see what happens since I don't have a high pick invested in him.
Got him in the 27th round of an inaugural dynasty draft this summer.Glad I have Ware on my team but I'm also glad I got him in the 12th before the hype started. Just grabbed him of waivers in the one 8 teamed I'm in. It's probably my favorite league even though every roster is stacked to recockulous proportions.8 team league drafted tonight. Took Ware at 14.2.![]()

At that point in the draft, if you loaded up on WRs early and are looking at RB options, they are all mediocre guys like Ivory, Yeldon, Crowell, Forsett, Vereen, etc. Guys that will be adequate perhaps but aren't winning you your league.so I'm basically the only person in this forum that believes the Ware hype has gone too far with these 7th and 8th round reaches...fine by me, overhyped island, population of 1.
That's the approximate script I followed when I drafted on the 28th. Was coming off a mountain & hadn't checked news before I drafted while driving (I don't recommend this FWIW.) Took Henry in the 9th - RB4 with RB1 upside. People drafting a few days later could reasonably replace that pick with Ware.Well, given that it's impossible to win a competitive league unless you make one or two hail mary passes like this that pay off, it makes perfect sense. And in this case you already know you're getting an RB1 for at least 2 weeks and probably longer, so that's even more incentive. Usually with lottery ticket picks you're gambling on the player hopefully getting an opportunity at some point in the season.
If I had a middle to late round pick, I can see going RB in the first, then 3 WRs, then at least one more RB in the 5th or 6th before reaching for Ware in the 7th. The 6th pick might be a WR, QB or TE depending on what's attractive. Then I'd probably hammer away at high upside WRs in the middle rounds. This doesn't seem like an insane strategy at all.
$3.75M contract, $3M roster bonus, $250k workout bonus. Total $7M, no guaranteed or dead money. Final year of deal.what is Charles contract situation?
Yup. I think Ware, and Deangelo for that matter, are great picks where they are going in drafts. They will get plenty of volume early and are plug and play in your lineup for- at least with DW, the first 3 weeks of the season. At that point in the draft, if you loaded up on WRs early and are looking at RB options, they are all mediocre guys like Ivory, Yeldon, Crowell, Forsett, Vereen, etc. Guys that will be adequate perhaps but aren't winning you your league.
You may as well grab a guy that will be a RB1 for the first couple of weeks and who would still have some upside when Charles comes back if he's either not as effective or never really gets healthy.
Bingo. I have him in a league where Williams got sniped early and I'm crossing my fingers waiting on waivers to get Ware (8 team league)probably not a bad option to pair with Bell if you cant get williams
Seeing this makes me realize what a tough SOB Charles is. Obviously an ACL tear is a fluke injury that's going to put you out rest of season, but he does not miss much time from other less serious injuries that would have many other guys out for longer periods. He is pretty resilient and I'm not ready to label him as a guy falling off the cliff this year or injury prone.2015

Personally, yes - since I haven't drafted yet and would grab Ware over either member of a mediocre RBBC.But would you drop a guy like Ivory or Yeldon to pick up Ware?
Same here ... DeWill got picked up 3 spots before me. For some reason I feels batter with Ware ...Bingo. I have him in a league where Williams got sniped early and I'm crossing my fingers waiting on waivers to get Ware (8 team league)
We had some exchanges in the FFA I wish we hadn't but it's good to be back with some clear thinking owners in the SP.Yeah, I'm honestly perplexed as to why he's so down on a guy who is being drafted as a bench warmer.
You can sort of view him like DWill, who is being drafted in and around the same time. But instead of being on the wrong side of 30 his career is just starting. Also, instead of being behind someone whose career just started he's the back-up to someone who is about be on the wrong side of 30.
I guess he's bizarro DWill.
The problem here is IF Bell goes down mid-season (again), Ware isn't the instant starter to plug in again, like DWill would be.djjosee said:Same here ... DeWill got picked up 3 spots before me. For some reason I feels batter with Ware ...![]()
What happens in the FFA stays in the FFA.Ministry of Pain said:We had some exchanges in the FFA I wish we hadn't but it's good to be back with some clear thinking owners in the SP.
I'm feeling like Ware is this last minute gotta have guy. I'm convinced now that Charles will be splitting time, if that's 2 drives on, 1 drive off, but Ware is going to have some real touches in the offense this season. Different coaches and slightly different era but Priest/LJ comes to mind here, it's going to be difficult to keep Ware off the field.
Reid's offense rarely utilizes a 2 back approach but maybe things will be different this season.

Dynasty, I offered Damarco Murray for him to the Henry owner, but it was rejected.sorry if this has been discussed. Dynasty value? High? or still to much of a question mark to gauge it?
I own both Henry and Ware and I would accept that trade.Dynasty, I offered Damarco Murray for him to the Henry owner, but it was rejected.
I was a little surprised by that, since Henry is seemingly his RB2.
This may be one of those trades where you look back and thank the guy for not accepting it.Dynasty, I offered Damarco Murray for him to the Henry owner, but it was rejected.

Maybe I will be thankful he rejected it. I'm not starting Murray, and I thought there was a decent chance I'd prefer Ware by the end of the season. But it seems you are right they the other owner is not high on Murray and thinks Henry will have the job sooner rather than later. This may be one of those trades where you look back and thank the guy for not accepting it.
The age difference is significant I suppose all that should not matter too much at the RB position imo, even in dynasty. He has Henry so he doesn't believe in Murray is basically what this comes down to. This might be the owner who values Murray the least in your league.
I have Ware in a dynasty league. and play on playing him this week.Bingo. I have him in a league where Williams got sniped early and I'm crossing my fingers waiting on waivers to get Ware (8 team league)
Tried to move him for a 2017 2nd a month ago but couldn'tIn my dynasty league I gave up a low 1st round pick for him. At 30 yrs old, I don't believe Charles will be back in 2017.
Unless you can only start 2 RBs and those guys are ADP and Todd Gurley...he is likely the starter, West has some injury he's nursing, Ware is likely to see a lion's share of the touches, I'm flexing him and then dangling him because the Charles owner will learn quickly that there is going to be a shared load if both are healthy.Would you try and trade Ware to the Charles owner before the season or bet that he will blow it up the first week and maybe get more for him after week one?
If Charles is not playing or very limited and Ware is the carrier against the Chargers, I'd imagine his stock will increase after week 1.Would you try and trade Ware to the Charles owner before the season or bet that he will blow it up the first week and maybe get more for him after week one?
