Sharks *finally* got a PP goal. Whew!
What kind of odds would you have given someone who said SJ would have 13 goals (and counting) in the first two games?Sharks *finally* got a PP goal. Whew!
Quick is having Bronze Medal Game flashbacks against Finland these first two games. 12 goals by Quick in 2 games? Unbelievable. What kind of odds would you have given someone who said SJ would have 13 goals (and counting) in the first two games?Sharks *finally* got a PP goal. Whew!
Only thing I can think of is he doesn't want it in Quick's mind that he couldn't finish a game as they head home. Nothing else makes sense. How do you not pull Quick earlier? GJ mumbles.
When he's given up 5 or 6 straight goals and your idiot team leaves you with a 5 on 3 situation.Tough call. He's been pulled once already in this series. At what point do you worry about ruining his confidence?
And that was a half-hearted wave at Thornton's 5on3 goal. Granted, he had no chance, but he looked defeated. When he's given up 5 or 6 straight goals and your idiot team leaves you with a 5 on 3 situation.Tough call. I can see it either way. However, think about what happened after he got pulled the other night down 5-0, and his team finally starts to show some life in the third with Jones in net. I just think it's an awful message to pull your franchise goalie in consecutive games because the guys in front of him can't get out of their own way. When he's given up 5 or 6 straight goals and your idiot team leaves you with a 5 on 3 situation.Tough call. Hell no, they're getting swept if they do that. No reason to panic, but if tonight wasn't a wake-up call, they are doomed anyway.I can see it either way. What does Sutter do to shake these guys up, start Jones in Game 3?
Do we have any legit Blue Jacket fans?
Have the Wild been trying to match up with the top Avs line at all so far? Will getting last change allow them to do a better job slowing these kids down you think?Keumper start confirmed. Brodziak and Veilleux out, Fontaine and Heatley in. I'm guessing Stoner gets scratched for Blum too.
Steve Mason will not dress on Tuesday, Ray Emery will start in goal for the Flyers.
this post is the only reason the Flyers won yesterday, btw.Emery...it's like the Flyers don't want to win.
If he's not 100% with a suspected concussion then there's no choice. But I don't like reading this comment from my starter:Steve Mason will not dress on Tuesday, Ray Emery will start in goal for the Flyers.
Good comments about Keith from Coaches Corner@danrosen: Keith is being accused of saying "wakey wakey, Backes" after Seabrook hit him. Keith was asked about it twice today, never denied saying it.

It's not cool but it's kinda funny.
"You too can celebrate apparent brain injuries for only $17!"
yes, they've been trying to match the 3rd line up with them and switched Haula to that line for Brodziak to add more speed (fastest guy on roster) to that matchup, among other things. 1st line was also out there a lot against them in G2 although I'm not sure if that was more Yeo or Roy's doing. that didn't work out well though. obviously the last change will allow them to have Suter out there as much as possible and match the 3rd line up on them again.Have the Wild been trying to match up with the top Avs line at all so far? I see an article mentioning Haula, Cooke, and Niederreiter will be matching up with them. Even though Suter plays half the game as it is, I have to assume they'll want him out there as often as possible to slow down MacKinnon and company too.
Stats show Niederreiter getting abused in both games so I'm assuming he was already seeing plenty of those guys. Haula should help.
Spurgeon looks like he was abused in the last game. That seems strange since I thought he was the primary partner for Suter.
I would take that as being a good teammate. If he's not 100% with a suspected concussion then there's no choice. But I don't like reading this comment from my starter:Steve Mason will not dress on Tuesday, Ray Emery will start in goal for the Flyers.

This.I really hope we get a nice clean game tonight. Tired of the drama already.
Go Blues!
One of the better schticks we had going here for a while.
Yea and I'm sure that's how he meant it, just my initial reaction was what, were's the fire to get in the net for the playoffs? Just came off as a no big deal, eh whatever kind of comment for game 36 in January, not game 3 of the first round if the playoffs. And I'm sure I'm completely wrong. At least I hope I am, it just sounded weak.I would take that as being a good teammate. If he's not 100% with a suspected concussion then there's no choice. Jones was a beast in the World Juniors while MacKinnon didn't do much, IIRC. Then MacKinnon just took over in the Memorial Cup and Jones stock dropped a bit as people started to realize how underwhelming/slow to develop some of the highly drafted defensemen have been.Interesting "revisionist history" considering Seth Jones was ranked ahead of MacKinnon throughout the season. It wasn't until the days leading up to the draft that it was obvious that MacKinnon was Rado's guy. Gotta give them credit for picking the "right one" (not that there was a "wrong one").
there is only 1 of these, and it's Couver

it was always a 4 player draft, they're all going to be good. regardless, I'm pretty sure his shot was more about being fortunate (terrible enough) to get top 2 picks 3 of 4 years. He's made comments like that before. It obviously makes it easy to rebuild. Unless you're the Oilers.
