Star Wars Universe (4 Viewers)

From Boba to the Mandalorian to Luke and Grogu for some reason and now back to Boba and Star Wars Raylan - This isn’t even a Boba Fett show anymore but maybe it never should have been

That said I love those characters and the episode ruled so it doesn’t matter lol. Seeing Cad Bane was cool AF too.

I think this is less about boba fett and more about setting up a Star Wars universe ala marvel to have all of these unique characters that can mix and match in episodes and hopefully movies.

at least that’s what they should do. First movie is they should all team up together and murder jar jar.

Lol yea I am good with it, just weird that they named it after Fett and the first 4 episodes were about him but now they clearly aren’t interested in that. And that’s fine by me, this is way better.

I wonder if something happened midway through production that caused them to shift course?  @Leeroy Jenkins

I assume (hope) Grogu tells Luke to keep his weirdo monk #### and pound sand. Go back to the Mandalorian and have adventures man.

Yeah, we know how Luke's school ends up.  It would be awesome to see Grogu in some Mando armor wielding a lightsaber, though.  Plus, the new ship has a spot for him.

The fact they also introduced cad bane in the episode with Luke, r2, Asoka, the Marshall, grogu, boba fett and mando was fairly amazing/

Grogu is going to take the armor, steal yodas lightsabre and dip from the planet.  As he enters hyperspace he eats yet one more baby frog from that lady’s spawn he has kept in his pocket for months.

Yes, crazy. Almost forgot we got R2. Awesome to see some Luke stuff from after Jedi, I hated we never got that.

Dont believe so. Some mando stuff was shot earlier in the process i think even.

Luke should be encouraging it. Attachment to his friends and father are what saved the galaxy. The jedi ways of non-attachment helped lead to their failure and losing Anakin. Thought Luke learned that lesson.

Maybe let Boba cook at some point, come on man.  I guess they are building something way bigger here as they know they have multiple seasons and shows to weave together.

So much ground from lil Boba, Boba the high school years, bounty huntin Boba to eventually get to I hope.

And we’re watching Mando episode with bescar mesh club shirts.

They are building a cool wild west/crime syndicate sandbox for Star Wars to play in basically.

I don’t get all the Cad Bane love, was he in one of the animated series or something?

Never heard of the dude.

Yea bad batch and clone wars. Don’t think he was in rebels but may be wrong.

I’m gonna be stoked when they get around to Ezra’s storyline on one of these shows.

Was hoping Spiderman  was going to show up at some point.

Not a single mention of the GREAT VFX work on young Luke?

Surprising :)

And good things our kids watch it with us to explain who the blue dude was.

Yes, Filoni rules, for sure. Rodriguez can't direct his way out of a paper bag.

how were the special effects so good in this one but then compare that to the choppy chef bit a few episodes ago and that chase scene what a change in the right direction take that to the bank brohans

Clone Wars and Rebels. Consistently survived fights with 1-2 Jedi, often only in passing while he was accomplishing some other task… kind of what we all assumed Boba Fett was when we first saw him in the movies.

Yea, the "deep fake" was magnificent this go around.  These last two episodes were much better -- different directors and storylines both contributed to that.

I like that they are making numerous shows in the same timeline, so that basically it is one giant sandbox  that all of these characters can play in.

What sucks, is that the sequels were so terrible (other than Awakens really) and limits what they can do with Grogu and eventually what I assume will be a found Ezra.

They hired the guy who did the deepfake on social media. I’m not making this up.
….As part of a larger team of facial performance and rendering experts at a company that is kinda known for pulling off “impossible” visual effects before. Techniques and approaches are moving at a break neck speed in this area.

Yeah it's a bit interesting how they've boxed themselves in somewhat here. I wonder how they bridge from this to the final trilogy and get us to the unknown.

Mando, Ahsoka, Grogu, etc. are all such important characters who bop all around the Galaxy...it's a little weird that none of them show up in final trilogy. Would take some explaining at some point.

Maybe it’ll be a swerve and if Grogu chooses one Luke will tell him he can have both? But that wouldn’t really make sense, why make him choose then?

I don’t think Mando is really necessary for episodes 7-9. He’s not a Jedi he’s not a part of the resistance as far as we know - he may just avoid it all.

Grogu and Ashoka will take some story telling. But Grogu will just be around 80 by the time ep 7 rolls out so he may not even be competent to battle yet. Plus, he seems excessively lazy. Maybe Ashoka gets lost in the outer rim trying to save Ezra. Lot of ways that could go.

Well, Ashoka's voice is one of the ones heard by Rey.  So she is dead apparently by then.  Ezra will be interesting though, as I presume she and Sabine are going to find him eventually.

I think the long game is to connect the OT with the sequel abortion, and Luke's development is a key part of that process.  It's not a realization they'll have Luke arrive at easily imo.

I assume it has to do wtih spending your money in the right places, a la Game of Thrones FX budget approach.

I'm hoping it has to do with an alternate universe.  Is that wrong of me?

YES!!!!! Exactly the way I felt about the Mandolorian when it came out. The wild wild west set in the Star Wars Universe.

i like that marshall guy he is tough as nails and i am betting he is not dead he only got one to the shoulder and i bet that he will be back and beat that other alien evil cowboy in a final shootout at the kessel coral while the theme from the good the bad and the ugly plays take that to the bank brohans

They can call it Book of Boba Fett, Mandalorian, Asokha, or CSI: Tatooine, I don't care.  Just give me more of that.

Dave Filoni needs to be put in charge of all things Star Wars ASAP.
From things I've read he pretty much is. Kennedy is still in charge but the world building is all Dave and Jon at this point.

It would be awesome if Luke was trying to get him to choose both, that to me would be the best outcome.

Does the future really need to be trilogies along the same lines? We couldn't jump way ahead for Ep 7?

Do we think we get an answer from Grogu in the last episode or will that be something for the next Mandalorian season?
