Star Wars Universe (1 Viewer)

What was up with the eye piece guy’s spin move attack? Just stupid.
My 8 year old son did a 3rd grader's version of "WTF?" after that spin move. I was glad he noticed how lame that was.

In fact, the 7th episode/finale was really budget overall. Cheap, poorly designed, not well thought out, not well acted, confusing. As a viewer - and I'm easy when it comes to this stuff (I didn't mind Boba at all really) - you want to forget your watching science fiction at some subconscious level. Didn't happen in that battle scene. Just flat sucked.

And when the rankor started to climb the tower like King Kong, sheesh...

But as a test run for recreating the whole experience at a theme park, a la Jungle Cruise, it probably works.
“Everybody get behind this wall!”

”Oh no! The Rancor’s coming right at us!”

”Blaster noises on 3!” “pew pew pew!”

Ok, long shot “won’t happen but should” fan service theory.

Theoretically Maul could be in this.  Fits the timeline.  Obviously, he absolutely hates Kenobi but he also hates Palpatine and the Empire, so we somehow need a “enemy of my enemy is my friend” Kenobi/Maul team-up to stop Vader and/or the Inquisitors

am I correct that the time line looks slightly off to have Ezra in this?

This Obi Wan series looks to be ~10-12 years before New Hope based on the quick shot of Luke and I think Rebels was more like 5 years before New Hope?

I don't think it's fan service honestly. He was the leader of the crimson dawn during / at the time of the Obi show right? Obi slots between Solo and Rebels.

Ezra probably not, they’re no doubt saving him for the Ahsoka series if anything

A younger Kanan Jarrus?  I’d say doubtful but plausible

My other thought was why use Duel of the Fates in the trailer and not have Maul in the show?  Doesn’t mean he’s in it, but in my mind that’s basically Maul’s theme.

We see Maul at the end of Solo (10 BBY) and he dies in Rebels (5-0 BBY), and Kenobi is set between (9 BBY)... so Maul could be there.  I can't remember in Rebels, though - I know he didn't know Kenobi was on Tatooine, but my hazy recollection was that neither Maul nor Kenobi knew the other was alive until they met there.  Having them together in this show would be a retcon.  I do expect Maul to show up, though - just not interacting with Kenobi.  I'm guessing some Inquisitors will track down Maul and regret it.

Your memory is accurate per this. I guess it all depends on what they want to do

Maul could definitely be in this. He was active prior and during Episode III.  He thinks Kenobi is alive during Rebels and finds out for sure (and where) using the holocrons.

In Rebels, when the Inquisitors confront Maul on Malachor, they comment along the lines of “it’s true, he’s alive.”  Opens up a lot of possibilities.  Maul also tells the Jedi on Malachor that he can’t defeat Vader alone. Maybe we get a Maul/Vader fight (I can dream).

Forgot about this.  That actually makes it less likely he’s in this IMO just because it screws up continuity since I’m guessing this show takes place before Rebels, but it would still be awesome seeing him in action again.

I don't think we see Maul here.  I suspect we will get some kind of Crime Syndicate tie in with him and Kira (Emelia Clarke) at some point in another series though.

The pivot to the core characters drew me back in…I’m sure they’re great, but just don’t have the time or energy to get in to the new stuff. So great to have new content!

I have so many Inquisitor questions!

Well, 2 actually.  I have 2 inquisitor questions... but both are kinda a big deal.

so good, now wtf do i do for a week :kicksrock:
Lucky for you, the rest of the series releases on Wednesdays!

P.S. Hi Mex!

Not sure if this is one of them but Obi mentioned that they were Jedi turned to the dark side.
I am very familiar with Inquisitors from Rebels... which leads me to one of the questions.  The other is not so spoilery I guess, so I will ask it.  How does 3rd Sister know that Anakin is Vader?  That is a pretty big Empire secret as far as I know - only Palpitine knows for sure but Tarkin and Thrawn suspect it to be the case.

Man, I consider myself a Star Wars fan... went so far as to tattoo the Rebel Alliance logo on my arm... but you guys take it to another level!

I am waiting for my cross-country flight to Charlotte on Wednesday to watch these.  I know, some Star Wars fan!

This.  I was like, “WTH, I thought only a tiny number knew this.”   And I assume a certain person isn’t dead or they just retconned Rebels.

So I was reading some discussion boards and the theory revolves around the first person it shows training at the temple in episode one’s opening.

This. And also, 10 years had passed but Obi Wan hadn’t heard the name Vader since Mustafar?  Who did he think they were hiding Luke from?  Vader wasn’t a known enforcer of the Emperor?  Or did Ahsoka also not know of Vader in rebels until he showed up?

Just reading these comments I'm already certain I'll be feeling like an ignorant tourist watching this show, not having seen any of the animated series.  My son told me this morning you have to have seen Rebels because of the Inquisitors. I told him he's a nerd.

I don’t think so. Just need to know their role — they are who hunted down the remaining jedi after order 66.

Loved them both but the grand inquisitor is alive in rebels. Guess he’s not dead here?
They'll just toss him in a bacta tank and he'll be right as rain.

If Elon Musk was as smart as he says he is, instead of spending $44B on buying Twitter he'd figure out how to invent a real-life bacta tank and make serious bank.

She knew that the Sith Lord named Vader existed but didn’t know who he was until they fought.

I would guess he hadn’t heard Vader again cause he was stuck out in the Outer Rim.  Since he thought Anakin was dead, I assume they thought they were hiding the twins from the Emperor.  Tatooine was run by gangsters; doubt the Empire was around much.  Obi Wan seemed like he kept to himself and stayed out in the desert.

Yea plus she says something about wanting revenge or whatever. I assume she was one of the kids and blames ObiWan for not protecting them. Also, one of the Inquisitors says she is beneath them - maybe referring to her not being a full Jedi since she was just a kid?

Loved the first 2 episodes but I thought the grand inquisitor and third sister scene on the last planet where he told her he was taking over was pretty weak. Did he really think she was just gonna be like OK cool and get on the transport and leave to be dealt with later. She’s done nothing but defy them on this for the entire show so far and seemingly been obsessed with it forever.
