Steeler fans (2 Viewers)

:stillers:First team ever to knock off consecutive undefeated teams this late in the season... and doing it by outrushing their opponents something like 473 to 26?Unreal.:stillers:

:stillers: Amazing as it seems, In all my years as a Stillers fan, I do not remember one of our teams playing this well collectively, and that is remarkable. What makes it even more unbelievable is that it was completely unexpected, a rookie QB, a lost OL man, a free agent RB, a decrepit RB, superb clock mgmt, great Offensive and Defensive play calling, an attitude that tells even the highest caliber teams, we are going to inflict our will on you and there is nothing you can do to stop us. BEAUTIFUL!!I remember the teams of the 70's, the dominant Defenses of the 90's. But this is a different flavor, it smacks of complete competence on every level, which suggests we've achieved (if only for a little while) the unatainable- 'balance'. The elation that I feel is jaded a bit, in that, this has happened so quickly. To use an analogy, have we stolen the playground bully's ball unbeknownst to him? In today's NFL how long does it take him to retrieve it? Landscapes change dramatically seemingly overnight, are we a brilliant shooting star, quickly burning up in the atmosphere?Dashed hopes of prior Steelers seasons, beg me to temper my enthusiasm with pragmatism. The impossibly difficult challenge is to NOT give your heart to this squad, try as I might, I am losing.Dog

:goodposting: I agree with every word you just said. You summed up all my feelings and emotions PERFECTLY.I too, am losing the battle. I have to admit, I am fully on board. It's like 2001 again, only without the special teams breakdowns and Kordell Stewart ! :D

Agreed.I'm just trying to live the cliche "one game at a time."Enjoy the ride, Black and Gold faithful. :stillers: :stillers: :stillers:

What a difference #### LaBoe brought to our defense. That was my biggest concern this year. Hampton and Scott went down... But they still stop the run as good as anybody! The steel curtain is back!!! :football: :stillers:

:stillers:"Wheels on the :11: go 'round and 'round. . ."
I posted this in the game thread but I think it might get more conversation here. The good news is that the Bus ran for 150 yards and we beat the Eagles. The bad news is that the Bus ran for 150 yards and will now probably think he's good enough to stick around for another year. I love Jerome, but Verron Haynes looked a lot more explosive behind that line. I would much rather see him as the #2 back next year. Even this year for that matter.Anybody think like me on this one?

:goodposting: I admit the Super Bowl Kool-Aid is looking good, and I'm darned thirsty. :stillers: :stillers: :stillers: :stillers:

The energy at HINES Field has never been greater. I was getting goosebumps during that game. This team has a feel to it like the Barry Foster/Bam Morris/Eric Peagram/Neil O'donnell years to me. Blitzburgh is BACK! This team plays much better and much more consistant than the Kordell led AFC Champ losing teams. Not saying we are going to the Super Bowl . . . but . . . I I I I I I I GOTTA FEEEEELIN . . . .Smash-mouth football, dominant D, good decision making. I like watching these guys play hard on every down.:stillers: :stillers:

 Wow...steelers are really looking impressive, kinda makes Mel Kiper look foolish when he said that out of all the drafted qb's rothliesberger was the least ready to play. Congrats Steeler fans, Makes you wonder if this wasn t perhaps a super bowl preview?

Big Ben had to make a believer out of many tonight. He had a passer rating of 158 and led the team on that final drive. Eli who??:stillers:Here we go steelers, here we go!:stillers:

Steeler fans know how to travel....just got back from the game tonight and there had to be 20-25K Steeler fans including 4 of mine from Orlando.

Another nail-biter in Jacksonville for our beloved Steelers! I wouldn't have bet on that game to save my life. The Steelers struggle too much in Jacksonville to even consider betting the Steelers with them being a 3-point favorite! My brother-in-law did, however, and lost, of course! :stillers: :stillers: :stillers: "I got a feelin'. Pittsburgh's goin' to the Super Bowl..."

Going in, I felt like this was going to be our 2nd loss of the season. Never more glad to be wrong! One more Steeler win or BAL loss clinches the AFC North.:stillers:

Awesome game last night. That was great to watch. Gotta be frustrating for the Jags not to be able to score in the redzone. Ouch !!!

I, too, figured that they might drop this game.I still think they lose one soon to someone they shouldn't, hope I'm wrong. :stillers:

I was a little upset at that holding call at the end of the game on 3rd down that kept the Jags drive alive. But I'm over it NOW.:stillers:

Where were you guys last year? Or at the beginning of this year? Hopefully the bandwagon is full and we won't have to deal with these threads anymore.

Posting in a hread you don't want to have to deal with anymore. Irony sure is Ironic. I'm new here. I never talk about the Steelers on this board. I just became a fan in week 6. :stillers: :stillers: :stillers: :stillers: :stillers: :stillers: :stillers: :stillers: :stillers: :stillers:

This one is especially for you, Tiz: :stillers:

Same here. I am not a season ticket holder. I was not there when we lost to the Chargers and Natrone Means, and I wasnt there holding my breath on Jim Harbaughs throw to the endzone in the '95 AFC Championship game. And I defintiely wasnt there when the Eagles were handed a beatdown this season. :stillers:

An average row of fans at Alltel Stadium: :stillers: :stillers:  :stillers: :stillers: :stillers: :stillers: :stillers: :stillers: :stillers:

I was there from Orlando as well. My entire row and the row behind me was full of Steeler fans.I didn't get home until 3:00 AM. What a cluster#### the parking situation is there....

I think most Steeler fans have been fans for life. Where were we last year? Well, I for one didn't post here then. I think the rest of these guys probably didn't feel comfortable posting threads pimping the team when they were 6-10. You kind of have to be winning games to get away with threads like this one. But since we are winning.....:stillers:WOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!! Hurts, don't it ?????? :D
