Steelers Fans (1 Viewer)

Before it was just business but with LenDale White's act of disrespect he made it personal. I don't even think there's anything wrong with that reall. The Steelers are the enemy if this is one way to enact their destruction then so be it. However what LenDale and the Titans must understand is that there will be a reckoning for such actions. Whether it's this season or next these Titans and Steelers will meet again and they will meet on the battlefield not as friendly competitors but as bitter enemies.
I'm starting to think there's one crazy Steeler fan with 20 aliases. It's not possible for this many (presumably) grown men to talk like this.
You obviously don't know many Steeler fans IRL. My one good friend is a Steelers fanatic. During the Pit-Dal game, he texted me saying, "between you and me, I care more about the steelers physically punishing the cowboys than I do about them winning this game."

I couldn't care less about it personally. The Titans might end up doing so, though. They should ask TJ Houshmandzadeh how well it worked out for him and the Bengals in '05 when he did it.
So, let me get this straight: The Steelers gave less than 100% effort on Sunday? It is the only thing you could be saying since you can't give more than 100%. The only way they could give more effort the 2nd time around is if they laid down the first time. Are you telling me that Big Ben, because he's mad that FatDale stepped on the towel, will not fumble multiple times and/or mistake Michael Griffin for one of his WRs?
You're right. There is no such thing as extra motivation in anything.
Only if you were a slacker the first time around. If so, I'm with you.
You dont think adrenaline is independent from effort?

Boy it's great to be on the other end of this. In 1992 it was the Steelers disrespecting the Chargers by making Super Bowl plans before the AFC Championship Game. Against the Patriots it was always something, some how the Steelers underestimated or disrespected them and lost. Usually because some young immature guy popped off the week before the game.

Now the Steelers have rid themselves of Joey Porter and it seems like the group (except for Anthony Smith last year) has matured nicely. For the most part they let their play speak for itself. Along come the Titans and an immature LenDale White disrespecting the Steelers with the Terrible Towel incident. Sure it's pretty minor and childish but it is disrespectful on some level. Will it make one bit of difference in the outcome of the game if the teams play again? Probably not. Will it be used as motivation? No doubt. Will the Titans hear about it if the Steelers would beat them in the playoffs? No question

Regardless of what happens from this point forward, don't you think it would have been smarter for the Titans to hold their celebration until after they win the AFC championship game? Just take a look at what happened to teams that disrespected the Patriots in the past. Nothing terribly wrong about it but not a very smart move.

Where in my post did I say or imply the Steelers were heading to the AFC championship game? If there's a Steelers thread to be found, you'll find it huh?

It was insinuated. "If there's a Steelers thread to be found, you'll find it huh?" Its like shoving a nerd in a locker fun fun fun

Of course they have, every team has. But surely, since Cincinnati has almost become Raiders East, you have to admit, a Bengals fan shouldn't exactly be throwing stones when it comes to "class." Glass houses and all. (Plus, cj, you'll remember the whole 'who dey, we dey' thing came after Housh wiped off his cleats with a Terrible Towel, and then the Cincy team did the whole "Who Dey" chant in the tunnel at Heinz Field. You ask for it, you get it.)
Wow you are smart you should have a blog
Thank you very much. :lmao:

Stop it. Everyone knows you meant it. Just like everyone knows you secretly love the Steelers. You post in any Steelers-related thread and just last week were saying the Steeler Nation was so big and powerful that the NFL was having referees throw calls their way in order to get them into the Super Bowl.

Come on.I don't think they gave less than 100% effort, but they certainly didn't play their best football. It was an off-week. However, when talking about two teams that are so close in talent level, I sure wouldn't want to be adding any fuel to the fire if I were Tennessee. A wounded animal is typically the most dangerous.

:lmao: A classy gentleman from "Metro" Detroit making fun of Pittsburgh. That's good. The high water point for your economy came when 100,000+ Pukesburghers took over your dirthole on a February weekend in 2006. The citizens of Detroit were finally introduced to the terms visitor, tourist and traveler...not to mention Super Bowl.

are we even sure that Pit is worse off?

to me they have it made now

...

Win easily vs Miami/NE at home instead of a game with Indy who's already pounded em?

easy choice there

if they'd of won more than likely woulda had to beat INDY at home then a healthy TEN on road

now, more than likely get to take it easy vs Miami/NE while TEN/INDY go toe to toe twice in 15 days and then get the winner the next week licking their wounds

I had Christmas shopping to do sport I actually have a family you only have to buy for your "life partner"
Right. For five hours. How long does it take to case of Skoal for your mom and a new tooth for your wife? Or did you have to cruise 8 Mile and toss dental dam and methadone out the window at every corner for all your sisters?

I love the fact that the Titans stepped on the terrible towel. This will be GREAT motivation if Pit goes back to Ten. For what it is worth Im more worried about playing baltimore and/or indy.

Steelers, Steelers, Steelers.....

No need to lock it.. I was just goofing around. Been a while since I was in a good old-fashioned snap fight. It's all in jest though. I'm done with it, anyway, no need to hijack the thread further, I was just hoping to get a few laughs.

Here's a funny: That a few dudes stepping on a stupid piece of cloth will provide more motivation to the Stealers than home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.

Nothing. The Towels have already beat the Ravens twice, while the Titans without their best player just stomped a mudhole in the Towels' arze.
This thread went pretty much like I expected.

I don't know why you guys are upset, we had a Jets player toss a snow boulder at our fans after losing to the Hawks in Qwest field. You don't mess with our 12th man! I hope we injure the guy if we ever meet in an exhibition game. Or at the very least trip him when he gets up to go to the little boys room.

:lmao:

Basically, "The Terrible Towel" is a symbol of the organization. This is the equivalent of stepping on the Dallas star.

If stomping on The Towel is fun for the Titans, or makes them feel good about themselves, more power to them. I just don't see the purpose of doing it, and Coach Fischer agrees. It's not the first or the last time it's been done, and I fully expect it to happen again if/when they beat Pitt again. No one is saying that the Steelers will need this as motivation, but if you want to give your opponents free, unsolicited bulletin board material, knock yourself out, guys.

The titans are crap. They have an corpse for a QB who is only getting undoubtedly worn down as the season goes (hence look at his stats) and he wont be performing well in January

Disrespect the terrible towel, and you will get stomped next time they meet up with you. Its only fuel for the fire.

And you are right, this wouldn't have been an issue if the Steelers had won, because it is "nothing new" for them to win. these kids will learn

Now we've found the cure for Big Ben's ills this year. They should bring in someone to stomp on the terrible towel before every game, just to prevent Ben from playing how he did this season. :)
