Trump’s attorney referred business to Stormy Daniels’ lawyer: report

President Trump's longtime lawyer reportedly referred a client to an attorney last year who was at the time working for adult-film star Stormy Daniels, raising questions over whether Trump's lawyer acted as a fixer for the president.

Keith Davidson, a longtime Los Angeles attorney, told CNN that Trump's lawyer Michael Cohen referred his name to Chuck LaBella, a Trump associate who at the time was being accused by actor Tom Arnold of having information that could damage the Trump campaign.

Consider this... Just as Trump was preparing to pay off Stormy Daniels to keep his affair with a porn star quite, he was parading Bill Clinton's accusers to the microphone in order to make it appear as if he was man of strong morals and values.

Consider that context...
that's not what he was doing. he was trolling HRC and her supporters. he was pouring salt on a wound quite deliberately. he wanted to be seen as a fighter, even a kind of political street brawler.

This is something, I don’t know if it will ever come out but it’s something.

Tom Arnold? Really? Wasn’t it enough that Roseanne Barr is back in the news after 20 years of well deserved obscurity? We have to deal with her stupid ex now too?

Well yeah it’s pretty obvious. Whenever he complains about corruption or cheating or whatever he thinks of in the bathroom tweeting, it’s something he has done or would consider doing. He was probably worried about someone doing something similar to him about all of his last trysts so just thought oh I will do that to Clinton.

That is as far as his ability to critically think goes.

Let's assume, arguendo, that we are to believe that MC took out a loan and paid the $130k on his own with no involvement by DT. Are we also to believe that MC didn't then at least tell DT so he could get "credit" from DT knowing that MC had done a favor for him and DT owed him?

"[Michael] Cohen may have run afoul of New York State Bar rules requiring lawyers to inform a client of “material developments in the matter including settlement or plea offers.” If Trump was left in the dark, Cohen surely has run afoul of that rule."

The problem for Cohen is that the disciplinary board doesn't care whether the NDA is valid or not.  They'll want to know if Cohen's client was Trump.  That junk that Schwartz trotted out a few days ago - i.e., the NDA says "and/or," which meant that Cohen had the "option" of taking it to Trump - won't fly here (which isn't to say that it will fly in Stormy's case).

One has to think the mystery behind the money will raise a few eyebrows by the bar as well.

Please let this become the official WH explanation. "And Donald was just too humble to let it become public".
Decades back, when a young prosecutor, I would catch a misdemeanor docket, including prostitution matters.  Every minister caught would allege he was bringing the gospel to the sinner and every political figure caught would allege they were studying a societal ill.  The thing is, they never wanted public credit for their good works.  In fact they seemed very interested in not being credited.  talk about your humble servants of the Lord and public servants.

And we all know Donald is nothing if not a humble servant.

Good stuff
The best stuff.  The best.

Avenatti is working the side stage but is worth the price of admission by himself.

With any luck they've already tracked the guy down and the 'sketch' is a millimeter perfect portrait.

Yeah, no history of presidents getting taken down 7 years after a very brief encounter that left a woman traumatized.

Relax, it was it was just an amusing coincidence.

You gotta enjoy this Stormy Daniels nonsense.  Nobody got assaulted or sexually harassed, no poor people got swindled out of their hard-earned money, nobody was a victim of bigotry and intolerance ... this should be the one Trump scandal we can all laugh about together.

It's also one of the few times when Trump comes across as somewhat normal and human. Rich old guy has a chance to sleep with a younger pron actress. Plenty of guys (and gals) would likely make the same decision he made.
