Lucky you if this is your first trip with the series. It holds up well through its entire run. Loses a little steam near the end but nothing drastic. It is probably my favorite sitcom of all time.
Yep. I think Stellan Skarsgaard is a terrific actor and found myself a little surprised that he would step into this role. That said, it's not as good a show as I would have liked. I had high hopes for it but grew bored with it after 3-4 episodes.
Just got through the laser episode. I mostly like it, but it's not quite clicking. Why do I get the feeling that this show is some sort of trap set up by a bunch of religious Canadians?
it just a little too contrived. the dead/hallucination plot device is kind of played out right now for this American viewer. it's as played out as the brilliant but troubled detective. or the cop who is willing to take on city hall. the only novel take on it was here.

oddly enough- the trash is reserved for tv. I can't read stupid ####- even on a plane or beach.
Easily for me too. It's so good, in fact, that I have tried to convince myself that listening to the old radio series are worth the effort.
I love this series, all the characters are great and the writing is snappy.
