Deep diving on Cheers. Midway through season 6. Holds up.
Lucky you if this is your first trip with the series.  It holds up well through its entire run.   Loses a little steam near the end but nothing drastic.  It is probably my favorite sitcom of all time.

"Woody, I am going to steal your girlfriend"

"Just kidding"

started "The Break"
French or Belgium foreign show.
Has some promise. Suspenseful and crime drama. Setting is a small town in Belgium with good cinematography.
On ep3 now...

Is that one where he talks with his dead partner?
Yep. I think Stellan Skarsgaard is a terrific actor and found myself a little surprised that he would step into this role. That said, it's not as good a show as I would have liked. I had high hopes for it but grew bored with it after 3-4 episodes.

dih-toe.

ok- done.

definitely solid. enjoyed the ride, enjoyed that they do their best to explain some of the time travelly stuff. that last episode... lots going on there to boggle the scrotum/mind. (by lots- I especially mean marcy's boobs).
Just got through the laser episode. I mostly like it, but it's not quite clicking.  Why do I get the feeling that this show is some sort of trap set up by a bunch of religious Canadians?

I think we made it through the second episode

On episode 5 now of Sneaky Pete on Amazon.  Giant meh for me.  Tough hanging on.

I like Giovanni Ribisi, Brian Cranston of course, and even a bloated Danny Noonan as a bad cop.  Not a bad story, but it's just not keeping me all that interested in the two brothers.  The weasely little brother should have been offed years ago.

Agreed. The unnecessary loss of life due to a self-fulfilling prophecy was goofy.
I'm looking forward to topless Marcy. She reminds me of a poor man's Scarlet Johansen. hubba hubba
Huge fan of Marcy since she was rolling around naked in the first show.  Her boobs appear top notch but I doubt we get a glimpse of them here.  Hopefully I'm wrong.

With John Hurt dying, I went to "The Last Panthers" on Hulu. It's nicely layered Euro-crime drama with Samantha Morton on board. It's only 6 episodes and I'm enjoying it.

Any love for Crashing? Apparently the same writer as Fleabag (which I can't seem to find in Canada). British comedy about a group of friends sharing a living space. Just watched the first episode last night and it was pretty good.

Fleabag is on Amazon Prime.
Yeah, I know this is the Netflix thread but Amazon Prime Canada is terrible.

The only shows are Red Oaks (Season 1 only), Man in the High Castle (Season 1 only), The Night Manager, Mozart in the Jungle (S1 and S2), Transparent (S1 and S2), The Grand Tour, Hand of God, Fear the Walking Dead and Sneaky Pete.

No Bosch, Fleabag, Alpha House, etc...

We've been hooked on Terrace House (9 episodes in). It's like a Japanese Real World. Oddly addicting and the commentator panel is hilarious.

:bag: :bag:

"My Sex Robot" doc been mentioned yet? Came up as a recommend ( :scared: ) this weekend. It's a few years old, but wife and I were cracking up like it was a sitcom (but it's not.)

I like the new download feature for offline viewing. What's cool is that it still keeps track of what point you're at so you can pick up where you left off on a home device.

Every episode of Frasier is out there too.

I just started "The Path" on Hulu. Aaron Paul's first real foray outside of Jesse Pinkman and it's not bad at all. Good cast too.

ok... I'm a fan of The 100 (which just had it's season premiere last night!), so have fallen hook-line and stinker for The Magicians. original it ain't- while watching, I can hear them screaming the pitch to the network... "IT'S HARRY POTTER, BUT THEY'RE IN GRADSCHOOL AND BONE!!1!!" plus Lion witch and wardrobe for an extra touch. nobody will notice the hot blonde chick with giant cans.. because she's wearing glasses! but it's well enough written that I still find myself enjoying it more than I probably should (the wife has bailed, loudly trumpeting how cliche and idiotic it is).

you do love your trash, Floppo. is no book or magazine safe from you when you're at the airport?

Been watching the only season of The Grinder a second time through. I've been trying to get people hype on it at work.  If ever there were a show that needs to be memed back into existence it's this one

I love this series, all the characters are great and the writing is snappy.

Melody and Colin are my favorites, but all the stories are fun.

Whenever I want something on in the background, I pull up an episode.

I'm sincerely hoping for a 2nd season.

Anyone have any scoop on The Colony? 10 episodes on Netflix but I do not believe it is a Netflix original. We have cruised through the available episodes pretty quick. Not the best show I have seen but definitely would like to see it through.

I'm watching season 2 as it airs... might be best to binge this one as there is a lot going on.... They started this season as a "flashback" which was a little confusing at first... Still I'm intrigued enough to keep watching to see where it goes.
