Series finale of See coming up this Friday. Am I the only one watching this?
I'm watching but am stuck on season 2, got sidetracked by a bunch of other shows. Still, I'll get back to it. Deeply flawed but I still kinda dig it.
It’s completely ridiculous in the best way.
I couldn’t get past the first episode.
That was me with The Expanse
Seriously? That sucks for you. It’s one of my favorite series. It really stayed solid start to finish. That said, I wasn’t really aware of it so I binged the first 2 or 3 seasons like I did for GOT. If it was a little slow, I may not have noticed. I wouldn’t come close to lumping it in with See.

Yeah I saw you recommended it so I tried bit it was just too slow for me and I lost interest.

You have to give Expanse season 1. It’s great but it takes a while to gain traction.

Welcome to Wrexham has been really good until the gameshow/sportscenter/whatever episode.
I haven't made it to that episode but Ryan and Rob come across as really likeable and regular dudes. Love the passion the English have for their squad.
@belljr

I'll try to watch live, but just note that the Wrexham youtube channel is extremely prolific and typically has extended highlights (like 15-20 minutes) posted after every match. For last weekend's barn-burner, they posted a 33 minute video on Sunday, then two more of 13 and 25 minutes yesterday, plus several interview and shorter highlight videos.

Dude, thanks for this. There was some very nice soccer in that highlight clip.

gonna finish our 11 season binge rewatch of The Walking Dead first though (almost done with Season 5)

On purpose?

So far it’s really good. But they’re just settling in at Alexandria and Negan hasn’t been introduced yet.

I had never seen and my bride (got remarried late June) watched through Season 7. She wanted me to catch up.
You’re at the point where it is still really good but the cracks are starting to show, you are getting close to the point where it went fully off the rails though IMO. After Negan, the show stopped being must watch for us and then my Wife and I finally gave up on the show completely during the next season and when the news came out a certain actor was leaving.

Yeah, I'm aware it's about to nosedive. But it's honestly been fantastic up until now.

Appreciate you trying to not spoil anything.

I know just from watching short clips (IG stories and shorts from YouTube) basically everyone dies. Darryl and Carol are still rolling, in fact Norman Reedus has a spinoff coming out that I'm interested in. I know Negan is impossible to redeem - I know what happens to Glenn - yet for some reason keeps getting shoved down the audience's throats. I think Rick has a chance to kill him after a 1-on-1 battle royale and doesn't? Andrew Lincoln is off the show after S9e6 or thereabouts IIRC. I'm not sure what happens to Maggie but I know Carl dies in a stupid way.

IDK, it doesn't wreck it for me knowing certain end games. It's like watching something on Apollo 11 or the Thai Cave Rescue, still compelling theater.

The last few seasons will probably be a slog. I hated Squid Games so much, but once I was in I had to finish. But that was just one 18 episode season. Not sure I'll want to make it all the way through TWD. Haven't given any thought to watching FTWD.

We're into S6 now and they've dragged the herd drive out for several episodes already, starting to wonder if that ever ends. Oh, and nuclear fallout on top of zombie apocalypse? Not sure how big that plot arc is, but when I accidentally found that out I knew I was in for some serious shark jumping.

I don't know why I try different versions of Resident Evil. I've now watched the first movie (not very good - got stupid at the end), the animated show (well animated but incredibly stupid at the end), and the live-action Netflix show, which I just finished. I was interested for about 4 episodes, but man did it get stupid at the end.

I gave up somewhere in season 7 or 8, don't really remember. I love zombie horror and was a fan of the comics. I hung on for a season or 2 to see Negan and just wasn't a fan of the casting for him. The early seasons were really good though.

Am I allowed to like She-Hulk? I thought it was funny and different. The last episode was especially cool, I thought.
Marvel goes for different themes with different shows/movies. Shehulk is meant to be as much/more comedy than drama/action.

For example, I liked Ms Marvel despite it being geared to a younger audience.

paper girls on prime sort of tries to include every sci fi angle there is so far and its campy as hell but it spins the clock now that its trying to be winter here in scanny already take that to the bank brohans

Yeah, I think 6 was the last we watched live as must watch tv. We caught up on 7 on Netflix at some point and it was a rough season. Was planning on finishing 8 at some point but then it came out that multiple actors were leaving the next season because they saw the writing on the wall. Once that news came out, we figured there was no point anymore.

FEAR we gave a chance but it was just bad early on with its time jumps and completely unlikeable characters.

Last night we watched S6E12 "Not Tomorrow Yet"
where they first attack the saviors, retrieve the Hilltop hostage and kill about a dozen of them with help from Jesus (we still haven't met Negan, only his men.) This is like watching the Lions race out to a lead, but in the second half they can't get a stop. I know I should stop watching right now. Nothing good is happening after this lol.

The Mole is on Netflix with a new season!! I loved the 2 seasons on ABC ages ago. I hope this series is as clever as the originals.

It's good, but to me it's incredibly obvious who the mole is.
After watching the teaser my wife made (what I thought was) a knee-jerk reaction and bet me $20 that a certain person was the mole; I got to take the field. I'm already thinking about what I want to spend my money on.
We finished ep 1, and watched the elimination portion of ep 2, and really like it so far. I wish the contestants had a wider range of ages, but that's my only gripe so far.

the watcher on netflix staring @Otis is really good
Enjoyed it. Some of the acting was really good. Ending was not 100% satisfying for me but still ok.
i felt the same way
My wife and I are through episode 2 of The Watcher, and I must be watching it wrong. I can't stand the husband and wife characters and am actively rooting for someone to kill them. The neighbor characters (Mia Farrow, Claudia, and Larry David's cousin Andy) are over-the-top caricatures. I'm not sure I can stick it out until the end.

It doesn’t get any better, move on. First episode was intriguing. Thing goes in circles and ends ambiguously.

Finally got around to watching Westworld season 4. I know season 3 was a hot mess, but season 4 was almost good. Not to the level of season 1 obviously but still worth a watch and an interesting end to the show.

I downloaded all the episodes of The Imperfects on Netflix for a plane trip. A bunch of test subjects for some wonderdrug are running out of drugs and manifesting powers. I'm 6/10 episodes in and it passed the time... nothing spectacular, but the powers are pretty new compared to what we've seen before, with a neat reveal in episode 5 or 6. I'll finish it.

Lots of conflicting opinions on The Watcher. Not sure if I should even start it, especially if the ending is underwhelming.
I hate watching a whole season of the show and ending it with a "that's it?"

Can someone tell me, in a spoiler tag I guess, does it at least end as a one season show?

This actor does a great job of killing any interest I have in shows he appears in.

It was okay. It just seemed like they told everyone to act like they are the mole to make it exciting. Wasn't the worst thing I have ever watched on Netflix.

oh man... I'm a big fan- but serious... pull the plug around there. it gets so bad. so, so bad.

yeah... I just couldn't with the Watcher. the tone was all over the place... unfunny comedy? unscary suspense? I watched the first... the family kept watching... and then I watched some of the last. very happy not to have watched more tbh

Took a few days (week?) off to binge some other stuff. Watched a few Friday and Saturday night (S7E2-5?) Yeah, it's a total mess. Negan/Dwight/Saviors are insufferable, Ezekiel/Kingdom is a fantasy world, Gregory/Hilltop is a doofus, we haven't gotten into Oceanside or the Garbage people or the Whisperers. Think I'll get a few books in while wifie finishes up.

lmao... the garbage pail gang- I had forgotten all about that. good lord.

binging a lot of K-Dramas in general lately

Hospital + Playlist (2 seasons) - recommend if you think Grey’s is a good show

Vincenzo - 20 episodes....did you like The Sopranos? Goodfellas? Godfather I & Is? Good, you should..This is about a Korean Italian consigliere of the Mafia visiting his birth country. It probably seemed like a good idea.

Itaewon Class (1 season, 16 episodes, Netflix)

Good character development & plot driven. My one compliant about K-drama is often characters are flat. They do a good job filling in backstory through flashbacks. Every episode has a hype ending that leaves you wanting to fire up the next one. Just finished e9.

Found this on Reddit & it’s spot on:

Itaewon Class has a lot of things most dramas don’t have-

1. diversity and representation - LBTQ+ and different races (this is the first K-drama to have an American cast member)
2. Parents that support their kids
3. Moral codes
4. Good acting
5. Good female characters- Four hardworking female executives, out of which one is a sociopath, one is a trans woman, one is an older woman, one is a younger woman
6. Though driven by revenge you never think that the hero stoops down to the level of the villain(s) The villains(s) are humanized somewhat and have actual reasons for their actions
7. Itaewon Class has a cohesive plot- it’s a bullied kid’s revenge, two orphans work hard to make it in the restaurant industry on opposite sides, an ex con figures out his life has value, etc
8. There’s a lot of themes that are explored-power, money, family, love, race, bullying, sexuality, etc.
9. The main character is someone I identify with- it’s rare to find someone that means what they say
10. The female lead is not a Mary Sue nor a damsel in distress
11. Neither of the female leads need to be rescued- they both make their own choices and save themselves
12. None of the characters are perfect-they are all flawed

Move to Heaven

It’s about a trauma cleaning company. One of the cleaners is on the spectrum. They’re hired to clean out the belongings of the deceased. Not a police drama - in one episode it’s a crime scene - but there is usually a mystery to solve. The belongings they find tell the story.

Netflix, 1s, 10e

(Korean w/ subtitles or English overdub)
You guys sensing a pattern here?

Very new KDrama (debuted June 29) which has been setting ratings records in ROK.

Extraordinary Attorney Woo

We’re up to 6 episodes, it’s brilliant. The lead character is a rookie attorney with autism (IQ 164), encyclopedic knowledge of whales, started memorizing law textbooks as a child.

Feel good comedy with occasional moral dilemma.

3 eps in and hooked.

Bad Sisters on Apple is top tier. Highly recommend.

thought the first episode was great. The husband is so awful I find him funny.

Best TV villain of 2022.
