Yeah - it's actually posted. Last year I was a big proponent of more is better, so I used all 30 roster spots. Looked for value at every instance.
There are only two studs: Finley and Rivers. And many may not count Rivers as a stud. The week 10 bye is a bit of a concern. Roethlistberger is a stud in disguise.
The biggest value plays are Anderson, Foster, Williams (TB), Robinson, Berrian, Murphy, and Branch. Gresham, and Hernandez. So these are the players I need to build my rosters around.
I looked long and hard at Deangelo Williams and finally I was too concerned about injuries to include him.
I also really wanted a 4th qb (Jason Campbell), but dropped him to have more players at other positions. I wanted a 7th rb, but ran out of room. Spiller looked really nice.
With no stud WR, I definatley went with quantity and have 11 of them.
TEs provide the best value position-wise. The combo of Gresham, Herndandez, and Graham will probably provide the flex score more often than not.
I wanted 3 PK. Gano was in the last round of cuts.

A note on Roethlisberger and Holmes: with their suspensions, if you look at their numbers on a points per game basis, they start to look like bargains for their dollar values. And their suspensions end in weeks 5 and 6, when you really need their production most.

It was the Fantasy Star and, sadly, Organized Chaos will not be doing it this year.Is the site that did the live scoring going to be up this year??? For the life of me I can't remember the name of it... The one we paid $2 to ???ETA: Nevermind.. .found it in last years thread: thefantasystar.com
I have decided not to host the FBG35k gameday scoring app again this year. I have recently been made aware that it is against the hosts TOS to run their live stats on a commercial site, so I will be slimming down this application.I do plan on still running the live stats and listing all players on our live scoring page for free, but loading the rosters etc, wont be happening this year.Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused, but for the hours needed to get this up and running, I just cant justify doing it right now being as busy as I am.

Last year's limit was 24. I used all 24 slots last year. I am using all 30 this year. I like to be consistent.Last year's results certainly suggested that more players was better. This years tweeks, with a maximum of 30 and more expensive lower rung players is really pushing this. It will be interesting to see what happens. Amazing what 72,324 iterations of an entry will produce. I had DJax and Welker at one point figuring they would be $ for receptions and actively involved in their offenses. However, in the end, the lure of Andre was so enormous, I had to cave and adjust my other WRs. Driver is like Fall...he's there every year.Good luckThats a very good team. Nobody's going to start just 2 WR's -- in fact, that's not allowed by the rules. Nearly everybody with studs will have to combine them with some "value-priced" guys (I would argue that Andre Johnson is a better value at his price than some of the very low-priced WR's) to fill up enough roster spots to meet the rules.For a realistic comparison, can you take those 2 studs and combine them with 4 of those value WR's? Take Williams, Berrian, Murphy, and Branch -- the 4 of those guys I have. Then, take as many "value-priced" WR's at <= $8 as you want to total the same # of points, and see which group has the better 3 or 4 scores each week. It would be an interesting comparison and a more valid test of the "studs vs. low-priced guys" theories.WRs and TEs are very hit or miss from week to week. If a WR scores a TD, they'll likely wind up with 14 or more points (including ppr) and make it as one of the top 3 WR's or the Flex. If they don't score a TD, they probably won't be included in your team's weekly score.Last year, even Andre Johnson had 7 mediocre games scoring 7.5 pts, 8.2 pts, 8.6 pts, 11.7 pts, 12.3 pts, 12.6 pts and 13.2 pts (including ppr) in weeks he did not score a TD -- and how many WRs will put up 101 catches, 1,569 yards, and 9 TDs this season like AJ did last year.Coming back to my comparison above, Calvin Johnson and Wes Welker are projected to score a total of 15 TDs this season. The 9 value-priced WRs are projected to score a total of 39 TDs this season. IMO the much larger group of value-priced players is a better investment of $48 than two studs.This is all speculation at this point. I think I'll keep track of the top-10 rated WRs and see how they do - week by week - compared to the group of value-priced WRs.Except that you only earn points from your top 3, maybe 4 receivers each week. So having more WR doesn't necessarily get you more points.Two WRs frequently mentioned are Calvin Johnson and Wes Welker. According to the latest projections (with ppr), they are projected at 275.1 points and 202.6 points for a total of 477.7 points. They cost a total of $48.For a total of $48, you could get a total of 1,302 points from the following:Mike Williams, TB - $8 [194.8 pts]Nate Washington, TEN - $8 [147.3 pts]Bernard Berrian, MIN - $7 [162.9 pts]Laurent Robinson, STL - $7 [165.4 pts]Brian Hartline - $6 [137.5 pts]Louis Murphy, OAK - $4 [163.3 pts]Deion Branch, SEA - $3 [121.4 pts]Jordan Shipley, CIN - $3 [101.3 pts]Justin Gage, TEN - $2 [ 108.4 pts]Plus you get (1) a substantial amount of diversification, (2) insurance against injuries, (3) better coverage of the flex position, and (4) reduction of bye week problems. Unless the projections are flawed, it's a no-brainer.

I spent $33 on both.Not sure why anyone would waste $21 on Finley when they could spend $12 on Shiancoe instead.

Having the running sores to look at will be great.Yet if I go into the FFA and say that Americans, in general, are stupid, I get a timeout. Life is just not fair.Are the summary stats definitely correct? I'm shocked by the number of teams with 18 player rosters. Is it possible that the bug that caused TDs and PKs not to show up on some teams also affected the summary stats?

Well I don't think it says whether you are smart or dumb. I meant it more as an examination of how much of the total value in the game was put on each of these guys. Kinda like poker, there's only so many chips in the game and it's interesting to see what guys drew the most dollars not just the most entries. What players were considered the best value? ) looks (looked?) like a guy who will see a lot of looks as a veteran on a team depleted at WR. Robinson was another must have (and I actually think I had him last year at $2 before he got hurt). He's their #1 WR with a young QB who looks better than most at his stage. They'll be behind and have to throw - someone will catch those balls. And again there's a good schedule. Not totally sure about Douglas, but at $5 he seems like value there. Murphy is another popular pick and with good reason. Soft schedule on a team with a big upgrade at QB. Branch was a last minute add. Originally I had Dwayne Jarrett here (since he won the #2 job in Carolina which isn't bad) but Branch represents crazy value with the departure of Housh.
A well researched team no doubt. My one problem with it is that WR is so thin that unless Mike Williams and Deon Butler are studs you will be in trouble. I think you put too much juice into RB and will have too many good scores not count. Also, i dont love your TEs because its hard to believe in Winslow on Tampa when there were such better options. But, overall, the team is deep enough in most places to do very well. Having ADPt helps that too.Never did get around to breaking down my team.Went with 26 players: 3 QB, 6 RB, 8 WR, 3 TE, 3 PK, 3 DEFPretty happy with it though dropping Shiancoe at the last moment makes me feel like thisright now.Anyhow: QB ($41)Rivers $19 Bye: 10Stafford $16 Bye: 7Anderson $6 Bye: 6Changed the top two QBs at the last minute from Schaub and Ryan and allocated the $4 savings elsewhere. In a perfect world I would have just swapped out Ryan for Stafford but I did not want 2 QBs with the same bye week so I changed it to Rivers. I really like Stafford's upside this year and with the soft schedule I think Rivers is a good buy - the top 7 guy with the lowest price. Anderson at $6 is way too good to pass up. Experienced guy with a top-flight receiver and a very favorable schedule? Gotta have him. The other reason and really the biggest reason I dumped Schaub was that I didn't want to have him and Foster on the same bye. True, I'll have Stafford on that bye, but Rivers and Anderson looks better than Ryan and Anderson going into that bye.I think a 2 QB strategy leaves too much risk - an injury will devastate your chances. Leon Washington will be good for a good number of receptions and is guaranteed a good number of touches. For $8 he's well worth it. Thomas Jones is kind of the opposite - a TD vulture who might save me during a week or two with a touchdown putting him into my flex slot and a guy who can put up numbers if he takes over the job. Scott's role is one that I think will be limited by Benson (Benson loves to get all the touches if possible) but he's great insurance and if he gets plugged into the line-up he'd be a sure home run. At $6 the price is right for that kind of upside. Their lack of depth will be telling in most cases in my opinion. Below I have copied and pasted the roster distribution for all entries. I'm interested in seeing this, but I don't think you should combine teams 1 through 3 and teams 4 through 6, instead just rank them 1 through 6. A blank means nobody had that many players. Some food for thought. Last year, the top three receivers in the contest were Johnson, Moss and Wayne (all high dollar guys). Combined they averaged 52 pts a game week 1-13, with a minimum score of 32 pts (week 12).The best scores each week from the 10 receivers ranked 31-40 (listed below) averaged 51 pts a game, with a minimum score of 38 pts (week 2).The studs outscored the duds 7 times, the duds outscored the studs 6 times.So if you are lucky enough to pick the top 3 receivers, you'll likely produce the same points as 10 guys finishing in the back of the pack. I think this shows the way to go is to find get 10 guys for cheap prices who are likely to finish in the top40, rather than luck into a couple guys who will score in the top 5.Last years 31-40...
