In that percentage owned part, not much scoring for RBs... maybe the cut will be in the 120's... atleast I have hope that happens, till Doug posts the pre-monday night sim...Oh and.. me 3 on the VD part... ugh...
I'd make low 140's a lock, with a good chance it's high 140's or more. While there were a lot of players off this week, there were also a lot of high scoring players. This is also our most difficult hurdle yet, with 30% getting whacked...
is this just a total guess?
educated guess from Drinen's sim run (post Thursday game). His average cut was about 146. Haven't seen too much to make me believe it will be any lower than that, and there are quite a few big numbers out there.Looks like I pulled a rabbit from my hat too with Brady, I also forgot that I had Branch yet to go tonight (-12.5). Up past 157 now, which will be getting it done for another week!
Foster and Williams had sub par weeks, which will have a big effect.
When they go off, they can really up the cut, but when they under perform (or put up middle of the road numbers), there is a good chance another player covers them on a team. I highly doubt the cut is any lower than the average sim numbers, and I suspect it will be towards the high end of the expectation.

It should be interesting but some of the teams that have been relying on Foster and don't have a couple of other good RBs will lose I suspect.

178.05 points for me. I was worried going into Sunday nights game but Ben, Gronkowski, Branch and E. Sanders got me about 100 points between the 4.

$22 for 100 points not bad

I need Cooley to come up big, at 138 and Cooley has to come up big about 20 points to cover Pettigrew's 11.

:wall:

Turk gives me 49.6% chance. Couple of TDs to Cooley? :wall:

Went from 61% to make it in the post-thursday SIM to now at 100% to make it...it was nice to have Branch, Welker and Stephen Jackson come through for me!

Currently at 165 with Gano left (-10)........Orton saved my bacon this week. With Rivers on bye, I had Orton going alone......and he came through BIG time. Was also nice to see Welker getting his 8 catch-type game again.

DD:

Any idea where the sim is getting MNF points for my team? I don't have any players on WAS or PHI, but it shows the max sim score for my team as adding 39 points. I'm already in, but it looks like there's a bug in the system. Team 100711...

150 pts thanks to the Gronk (all I have with Finely out). It's a miracle that my crappy team has made it this far, but I'll take it.

I used Emmanuel Sanders for the first time. I hope he keeps contributing, but it was probably due to Hines Ward getting injured.

Still haven't used a WR at Flex. It was a TE again this week (Gronk and Gresham). Even Todd Heap outscored my backup WRs.

Thought I was toast until Gronk and Ben decided to save me. Sure glad I went Gronk over Hernandez for now.

BTW, since I'm new to this, what exactly is the Turk or where did it stem from?

1st timer with an 18 player team - getting knocked out this week w/127.5 and nobody left to play.

Thanks to all the guys contributing to this thread. Hopefully I'll remember some of what I read here. If nothing else, I'll be fielding a larger roster next year. Getting through the byes, injuries and inevitable bad weeks with a min roster requires more skillful player selection and more luck than I can bring.

GL all!

BONKA - The Turk is the guy in training camp who tells the players who are going to be cut to bring their playbook and go see the head coach. Hence, the bearer of the bad news that you have been eliminated.

Who is this Turk? He is the individual assigned by the organization to go to a player's room, knock on his door and utter those dreaded words: "The coach wants to see you--and bring your playbook." In short, the Turk is the NFL version of the Grim Reaper.

NFl Tradition--when a player is about to be cut in training camp, an assitant coach knocks on his door and tells him to report to the head coack and take his playbook with him. The assistant coack with those duties is referred to as "the Turk". don't ask me why the NFL uses the term--maybe because the term "assassin" comes from Turkish history?ETA: guess i type too slowly

On to week 11. The next several weeks will be brutal with high cut lines. I've always gotten eliminated during this part of contest. Looking to make final 250 this year.....

Same is true for me (though ctriopelle's team being better than mine he gets more points  )Team 100098Thx-QG

You like Winslow at $14 better than Daniels for $13? :no:eta: Fasano at $7 over Heap at $7 I can't see that either.
Digging around for something and found this. While I'm feeling :lmao: about my RB situation I'm happy with how my TEs have turned out.Winslow vs. Daniels (6-4 Winslow) Winslow 104.7 points, Daniels 44.0 points.Fasano vs Heap (6-4 Heap) Heap 108.7 points, Fasano 92.2 pointsWinslow/Fasano vs Heap/Daniels (6-4 Winslow/Fasano). W/F 131.2 points, H/D 116.4 points.-QG

187 unlucky Finley owners had Hernandez as a backup TE this week.
Big fat 0 from the TE this week. 39 pts from NEP and no catches for Hernandez? Some way I still have a chance to advance if DD's "mid 140's" cut holds up. I'm at 146.75 unofficially on yellowdogs MFL site. Need WashD to beat 7 pts on MNF to move up. No serious designs on winning with my ratty RB's but it's still fun to be in the game another week. I'd love to make it to Week 11 by .1.

19 Roster Guy with Rodgers on bye, Finley and Murphy out, Foster and M. Williams underperforming, moving on with 187 points.

onto week 11, with 172 and change..... need Zach Miller to come back, because I don't expect Gresham to match that 28 again, and who knows what Hernandez will put out in a given week.......

QB - Flacco, Stafford (goneso most likely) & Anderson

RB - Gore (so glad I made a late switch from Rice to Gore), Best (ultimately, he could be my demise), Foster, Westbrook (hasn't scored yet), Choice (hasn't scored yet either) & Tolbert (best $1 I ever spent)

WR - AJ (huge game yesterday), Gaffney, M. Williams (TB), L Moore, McCluster (need him to come back too), D. Henderson, Shipely, Crayton

TE - Z Miller, Gresham, A Hernandez

K - Bironas, Feely (hasn't scored for me yet) & Janikowski (great late switch from Hanson too)

D - Dallas (finally had a good game yesterday, their second one of the year), Chicago & Detroit

Been 20+ above the cut each week, that being said, I'm sure I'll end up with the Turk seeing me this week just because I like how this team has performed.....

Flex has played out RB - 3, WR - 3, TE - 4

anything i left out?

That's how I felt with Dallas scoring 33 and Witten having one stinking catch.

team 103458

made the week 10 cut at 187. thanks gronk.

i dont know if i am more surprised that i am still in the contest or that i still have 30 eligible scorers heading into week 11.
