I don't think I've seen an IND/SEA matchup posted yet. I haven't lost any players and would have potentially 10 in the SB. Might not have enough firepower without Herron and a SEA WR; probably covered by another entry. Here's mine.

johnnyrock really needed Carolina or Dallas to lose last weekend.

If he's going to win he needs entry 999999 to go down this weekend.
That or Luke Willson gets 9/100/2 and Reggie Wayne, Hicks, Baldwin and Herron do squat! It'll be interesting to see if that entry has enough to make it through. I love this contest.

hmm, should have checked in two weeks ago and read this thread. i forgot I even put a team in there as a placeholder. spread too thin and didn't give any thought to superbowl matchup implication to be a winning team, but at least i made it past the first week.

If I had known the cutoff would be so low, I would have structured my roster far differently.

I basically have a Seattle vs NE super bowl team, but I think I hedged my bets a bit too much in other areas, and that there will be other NE/SEA teams with more players out there.
Wasn't the cut in the 40s last year for round 1? That was with the KC/Ind shootout. You could have picked Luck and advanced. That seems low, but I'm not sure we should have been projecting much higher, especially with the pricing changes this year (although I could be looking at this last point wrong).

Anyways, I've moved on, losing Martavis and Wheaton, keeping Torrey and Murray.

Hopefully scoring will be down (relative to NFL scoring) based on more people understanding the rules and higher pricing.

So what's the consensus on generally how many players/starters need to be selected from the two teams that make it to the Super Bowl to have a chance to win this thing?

It depends. If you pick a very popular SB combo, a lot. If you went against the grain and picked two less popular choice and are right, not many. If you went BAL/CAR and it plays out that way, you won't need many guys going to win.

68.35 so far and my two Super Bowl teams don't play until tomorrow. A good start.

Gonna be a high cut line I think.

-QG

Looking good.

Have 83 points from Brady, Gronk and Smith SR - 7 Cowboys and 3 Panthers still have the opportunity to contribute to my week 2 total.

Still I misplayed the playoff match-ups. Given that I went heavy on the Pats, I'd probably have been better off gambling on a player from a team with the possibility of playing the Pats in the AFC championship; however, a Carolina upset this evening will right my ship.

Any idea what the cut line will be?

Yesterday I'm scoring Brady, Gronk, and DeAngelo... Today will be be top 2 from GB plus Moncrief and Nicks.

So many points out there this weekend I'm thinking I'll be eliminated. Which sucks cause my GB/NE Superbowl is still alive and I would've been in good shape with 11 players in that.

I have no idea other than I think it's going to be pretty high unless today's games are lower than expected

Last year it was only 125 but I think it will be quite a bit higher than that..

In the 4 games last year, one team scored more than 24 points. In two games this year, 3 teams already have.

Player prices were higher this year. With 2 games to go and both potentially high scoring, it would be a wild guess as to a cut line.

84.5 with 3 players left one of them being Peyton I hope. Not looking good seems like I can never get past this round.

176.85

If that gets me through I am still in solid shape with Brady, Gronk, Hilton, Fleener and most of the GB roster (unfortunately no Adams though).

I don't think it's gonna be as high as some think. Hopefully maneuvered ahead of the glut of entries around it.

Players scoring for me:

Brady

Gronk

Deangelo Williams

Rodgers

Adams

H Nicks

Moncreif

No idea how many points that is, or if I should be optimistic about surviving.

Here's hoping Gronk, Luck, Hilton, Rodgers, Bailey and any of the other Packers not named Adams is enough for me this week....

Keeping the dream alive for one more week! I picked the final four right. Next week I have:

Luck

Hilton

Herron

Vinatieri

Bolden

Edelman

Wright

Lacy

Kuhn

Harris

Nelson

Adams

Boykin

Sea D

Hauschka

Scores are up.

I squeaked through again. And have 6 players to score this weekend. Actually gaining some optimism about making it through to the finals. A GB/NE Superbowl and I might cash in this thing. Of course, GB beating SEA in SEA isn't going to be easy with a hobbled Rodgers imo.

Anyone know how to find the week 3 cutoffs for previous years?

Still have 12 from NE & SEA, but lost all the rest of my players. Not sure if it's possible to make it thru with just 4 players counting.

My NE/Dal team is done. Missed the cut by 18 anyway. Pit losing really put me in a bind as I figured Brown was almost a guaranteed 20 points in the first two weeks.

G'Luck to those remaining!

I scored 213.40 points... yowza. And that was with loading up on NE/SEA players. Davante Adams and Wilson/Brady alone could have nearly qualified people this week.

I hit the right final four teams so should qualify this week easily - but I'm leery of only having 10 for the title game (both QBs though). Pats defense was a wasted spot - defense scoring is really low.

Brady/Edelman/Gray/Wright/Hoomanawanui/Pats DEF

Wilson/Lynch/Luke Wilson/Hauschka

Hilton/Fleener

Lacy/Davante/Richard Rodgers

The cutoffs were posted earlier but are irrelevant.

It's defiantly possible to make it thru with just 4. Lots of crippled teams hanging around. What you'll need is unbalanced scoring from NE/SEA. Gronk/Edelman/LaFell/Amendola all scoring 20-25 is bad for you.

Hopefully it can stay around 100 or less, makes it possible with 4 players, if the cards fall right.

Anyone put these into a db yet?

Wondering where I stand w/ 11 players in a GB/NE superbowl.
Ahead of my 10 (8 packers and only Gray and Amendola - the design was to have 12 GB/Den players).

I'm dead entry walking now :kicksrock:

Which is what always makes this contest so interesting, and yet incredibly lucky. If you try to even it out, you're inevitably covered by someone in the super bowl who just guessed right on his non superbowl players.

I tried to mimic the last champion, who I believe went heavy SEA/DEN and only had Hilton. but Pit got bounced and so my Brown pick went bye bye. Ignoring the fact that I chose the wrong superbowl lineup anyhow.

Oh I think I was fine in strategy (NE wasn't the plan). I was just foolish in putting the Broncos in there to be different. Though my alternate-world NE entry would have relied on a couple Steelers (instead of a couple of Ravens) and gotten knocked out.

I shoulda known to steer clear of the Broncos after seeing the way my Bengals were able to handle 'em, especially Manning.

I wouldn't be so sure.

Even though I have 11 GB/NE players, I'm still missing a few key players... Cobb on GB, and all the WRs on NE.

It was too pricey to completely fill out with 2 teams on bye week 1 and still survive. So, I did my best. Probably should've dropped the defenses instead, but it is what it is.

GB/NE Superbowl leaves me with: Rodgers, Lacy, Nelson, Adams, K, D; Brady, Vereen, Gronk, K, D.

So, with 8 Packers, you might beat me out if you have Cobb and Gray/Amendola have great games.

Looking for SEA v NE and my 11 players to make a run in the Super Bowl!

This contest is crazy fun.

Have top 2 from NE, SEA and Adams, Starks, Nicks, Moncrief for the next round. Hope to make the cut, be fun to follow in the Super Bowl...
