im enjoying watching her. But man imagine being on an island with her.Good lord is that over the top girl ANNOYING! Cannot stand people like that. Just calm the eff down.
I'd probably vote myself off. Honestly would probably be more ok with starving then be contained on an island with someone like that and no other option than to be around it.im enjoying watching her. But man imagine being on an island with her.
I think she is probably a very upbeat person by nature, but I think her hyperness is elevated even more by nervous energy on the island.Good lord is that over the top girl ANNOYING! Cannot stand people like that. Just calm the eff down.

1. Totally agree and it keeps happening.1. I just can't see telling people about an advantage early on.
2. JFC Maryanne might be the most annoying player since the blue haired i love the chickens girl - no idea how you keep her over literally anyone.
1- I suppose it's about trying to build trust for an early alliance... but better done once you're already confident in your alliance/partnership than as a bargaining chip to build it.1. I just can't see telling people about an advantage early on.

Yul also had a super idol, which could be played after the votes were read and is much more powerful than a regular idol, so he had a lot more going in his favor than your average idol holder. The only way to defeat the super idol is for someone from the majority alliance to fall on their sword, and no one in his season was willing to do that.Corporation said:Marya at least made the right move and took the shot in the dark, there was no downside for her. Either her tribemates are telling her the truth and they are voting for Maryanne (so her vote wouldn't matter) or she was in trouble and may as well take the 1 in 6 chance.
Maryanne makes me smile when she is on TV but I agree it would probably wear thin after awhile.
I'll never understand sharing information about an idol or an advantage. I can't remember many situations other than maybe Yul where it worked out. I think Yul essentially let everyone know he had it and was directing votes, but that was a long time ago and in early game play. I don't think that would work now.
Never never never mention you have an idol. Always makes you a target. That info must be protected at all costs.once people do know you play it.Corporation said:Marya at least made the right move and took the shot in the dark, there was no downside for her. Was not a good luck for him. Amazing to see the "true person" come to the front with just the slightest pressure. My view of the math is that dumb lawyer dude went from a 75% chance of survival by drawing rocks to a 0% chance of survival in the future by not doing it. And he must be the most stupid lawyer I've ever seen with his "negotiation," which seemed to consist of "trying to throw blame inexplicably to someone else and then cave with only the tiniest of pushes," instead of using the fact that he could put the three others in danger to gain some sort of advantage or, better, to convince the stupid guy with 4 on 2 numbers to realize he was better off to switch.

the namaste peace pose in response when Jeff said the same thing... so awesomely perfectly bad.Jonathan is a fricken beast. Admittingly I haven't watched every season but I haven't seen someone physically dominate a challenge like that ever. That tide was absolutely ridiculous. People drown in conditions like that let alone drag a bunch of people and a heavy ladder to shore.
I was waiting for Jonathan to run out into the water to help both teams hold their ladder to survive. Albeit he’d have to choose one tribe to help first. Not looking forward to when some of those weasels turn and blindside Jonathan after the merge because he is too dominant in every phase of the game. But I guess that's how it usually goes.

Got me thinking..would that have been a smart game move on his part or actually painted an even bigger target on his back? I think prob smart…it’s not like it’s any secret he’s far and away the biggest (only?) physical threat on the island so might as well flaunt it and get on other tribes good graces.
Oh for sure, they’d be absolutely silly not to at first chance. He’s never gonna lose anything physically to anybody there and usually the last 3 challenges are pretty much guaranteed to be physical/endurance.Crossed my mind too. That would have been a great gesture, imo. But I'm afraid that, either way, he's going to be blindsided.

I think that's been happening regardless of diversity.this won't be a popular take.....but the overloaded focus on "diversity" has had a dramatic affect on the physical makeup of the cast....and IMO has taken away some of the core parts of the game...physicality used to at least have some advantages at least for a little while and could maybe even carry you deep into the game....now the non physical players just team up and boot you....
Don’t you remember that she can control all votes just with her social game?!? No worries. What was up with the girl on the side trip risking her vote? So dumb. She even said, I can’t risk my vote tonight. Unreal.
daniel no smart. Gonna be him next and then tai.
That rule only applies to two challenges in the same voting cycle. If there is one reward and one immunity challenge between tribals, then different people have to sit out. If there is only one challenge between tribals, then the same person can sit out that sat out the last challenge. And yeah for a lawyer (yes we know) Daniel he's not very smart. Also when did they start letting people sit out back to back challenges? I always thought it had to be someone new every time. Probably a good thing though with his shoulder he had no chance to do anything in that water other than drown.
That’s almost always how it goes. Modern Survivor is a game of “who can be the most medium,” and Jonathan is definitely not that. Not looking forward to when some of those weasels turn and blindside Jonathan after the merge because he is too dominant in every phase of the game. But I guess that's how it usually goes.
This episode’s strategy was TERRIBLE but it was ENTERTAINING and I was THERE FOR IT.My view of the math is that dumb lawyer dude went from a 75% chance of survival by drawing rocks to a 0% chance of survival in the future by not doing it. As @DA RAIDERSsaid, Chanelle’s decision to risk her vote was monumentally dumb. In what universe do you tell Omar that “I need my vote for tribal tonight” and assume he won’t infer that he can risk his vote?
And then Daniel alienated EVERYBODY with his attempts at playing both sides. He thought he was manipulating people like Cirie, but it’s hard to pull that off when you give off Ted Cruz vibes. At any minute during tribal, I was expecting everyone else to say “screw it, let’s take out the swing vote who overplayed their hand.”
Daniel accomplished the near-impossible feat of alienating every single other person on his tribe.Yeah, I forgot to talk about Chanelle's horrible decision, which I shouted at the TV about while watching, because then Daniel became just as stupid. I still can't get over the fact that he held some power and masterfully negotiated that away in return for the burning of any alliance with those on the wrong side of the numbers last night plus a "vow" from the other two that they "won't hold my initial vote against me, right, guys? Right, guys? Oh sure, we won't hold it against you, dumdum."
But yeah, she was a complete dummy too.

Definitely a chance for it to be the most chaotic season since Gabon.Anyway
this season is just pure chaos.
Seriously what was with the opening scene? They get back from tribal and Maryanne tells the whole tribe about her extra vote advantage and then, the next morning, organizes a whole tribe idol hunt where everyone sees her find it?1. I just can't see telling people about an advantage early on.
2. JFC Maryanne might be the most annoying player since the blue haired i love the chickens girl - no idea how you keep her over literally anyone.
You aren't. Chanelle and the guy did know of the challenge, and Chanelle said she could not risk her vote while talking to him. Then somehow she convinced herself that he was not going to risk his, so she could risk hers. Unfortunately, he drew the same conclusion based on what she'd told him. They all know by now that they have that choice when they get selected to take the boat ride, How are the people not agreeing to what they do when given the choice?
What am I missing?
But haven’t they done this same thing last season and already this season where you walk the hill and take this same choice at the bottom? You aren't. Honestly, I thought the idol hunt together was a good move. People rub each other the wrong way, but I had been waiting for a tribe to basically say we gotta stick together so let’s do whatever we can to maximize our idols/advantages and go into the merge strong and figure out who they can get to join them. Seems like a tribe could really make a strong alliance and protect their advantages, especially this one.Seriously what was with the opening scene? They get back from tribal and Maryanne tells the whole tribe about her extra vote advantage and then, the next morning, organizes a whole tribe idol hunt where everyone sees her find it?
also I told my wife last night....I will once again pound the table that I miss the old days of survivor when it was based on your physical abilities and your worth with what you can bring to the tribe by fishing, building shelter, providing etc....in combination with your social skills...
now we have all these twists and advantages, not being able to vote, etc... to where we have to go 7 layers deep into some freaking tie breaker and Jeff having to announce like the ref Ed Hoculi in football.... "by rule".... blah blah blah....with some quirky explanation....because they created their own mess....the core of the game is being lost in all these changes....it really is....now its just a matter of which nerdy person turns out to be the sneakiest weasel that can maneuver all the twists and idols that aren't "activated" yet or some crap.......it's just not as fun as when there used to just be hidden immunity idols and that's it.....all these changes have really changed the core of the game play....
Yeah, I complained about it above as being dumb to repeat within season but I think I understand your question better now. The prior Survivor and this one were amped up/shortened versions, and Jeff led this one by saying the cast of this one did not see the last one.But haven’t they done this same thing last season and already this season where you walk the hill and take this same choice at the bottom?
Fudge! Shiz!Seriously what was with the opening scene? They get back from tribal and Maryanne tells the whole tribe about her extra vote advantage and then, the next morning, organizes a whole tribe idol hunt where everyone sees her find it?

His only hope is that Hai and Lydia decide to use him as a number until the merge.
Every season some will say "this is the worst cast ever". For whatever reason, I always enjoy them. Even bad play can create entertaining TV.I guess I'm the odd one out that likes this cast of dipshirts.
"I almost stroked out right there."![]()
lol the dude not only dropped the actual idol in the middle of the jungle, but then also forgot he had the parchment with all the details stuck between his taint. Just gave back the wrap with nothing in it.I guess I'm the odd one out that likes this cast of dipshirts.
