TE George Kittle, SF (3 Viewers)

I’m out at ADP in redraft. I’m out a full round later than ADP in redraft.

His usage is maddening inconsistent from a fan perspective, I certainly don’t want that in FF.

Fair point, definitely have to monitor closer to re/draft day.

Now, he was injured most of the year - played through core/oblique injuries I do believe. If he can be healthy for 2025 I could see his production improving and having more big games. But, same as Kelce, as he gets older the injuries take longer to heal and just at risk of additional injuries.

When healthy though he's top 5 easily still.

NFL-wise. Easy top-2 TE. But fantasy wise, he has to thread a very small needle to be a top-5 guy. He's done it before, but it gets hard to trust, and he's just as likely to score 2 points as he is 20.

Yep - in those NFL games he can be 2/16 but block all day & be super useful. 49ers win a lot like that.

Unfortunately for FF, those games are brutal.

Schefter:

49ers TE George Kittle was not spotted at practice today and is experiencing tightness in his hamstring, per source. With no practice today, his status for Sunday’s game vs. the Rams is in question.

That figures. I had him penciled in for a really good week with Deebo out too. I assumed he would miss some games at some point this season, but I was hoping he would make it until Hockenson got back. So much for that, I'll have to watch the waiver wire. Noah Fant? Greg Dulcich? Ugh.

He has a fantastic match-up this week too that I was looking forward to. No Deebo which means a lot more target opportunities.

Please rest up, we need ya.

Kyle Shanahan on George Kittle and Charvarius Ward missing practice today and if they’ll miss the game on Sunday:

"They possibly could. They will end up being questionable I'm sure. They had good practices yesterday then complained of some soreness after, then came in this morning with it. So we weren't going to put them out there today...

Hopefully they come in tomorrow and can get some work in. Definitely hoping those guys can be available on Sunday but, if not, gotta go to the next guys up."

I'm sorry but this is getting to the point where it's really no fun. None to be had anywhere. It's like pulling teeth just to set a lineup. Even if you win- the elation of that week is ruined by the sadness of the injury report the next. I'm looking for the magic elves to cobble my lineups at this point.
I have a team in a RTS high stakes league where my 1st (CMC), 2nd (Kupp), 3rd (Deebo), 5th (Mixon), 6th (Engram), 7th (Keenan) are all injured. Try setting that lineup where almost nothing is on waivers and people are bidding $400 on Steele and $200 on Jennings.

Who's the hot pickup? I see Goedert and Shultz on the WW. I like Schultz more with Mixon and Pierce our. I think Stroud may look his way more for the short receptions to make up for the lack of a running game

I picked up Goedert last night, mainly because I suck at picking tight ends and he was the highest ranked one, so just went with the experts.

I am not high on Schultz as I was last year.. I just think if they are going to go short, Tank Dell would be the guy they throw too. Plus, with so many downfield weapons for CJ now, Schultz just seems like a forgotten man.

I would go with Goedert..

Next Gen Stats
George Kittle set season-highs in receiving yards (128), receiving yards over expected (+42), and yards after the catch (73) to cap off National Tight Ends Day.

@gkittle46 has gained +132 receiving yards over expected this season, most among tight ends.

"Unlikely to play" week 11. Will apparently try to give it a go in warm-ups before the game but trending towards Out, per Schefter.

Plays in the later set.

Earlier this week, I talked about how George Kittle is the player on offense the Niners can least afford to lose. Big blow if he can’t play today.

Best TE in football this year, blocking, receiving, YAC, their best red zone receiving target, leadership, and the lack of TE depth on the roster.
