That's probably a big reason why his snap share has gone down in favor of TEs that are actually willing blockers. This was supposed to be his year with Cousins in the fold, but natural ability won't carry you far if you're not fully committed to your craft.I watched him jog on all his routes. Can't believe people blamed Arthur Smith.
I wonder how many years have to pass before....you know....know what he is?TE37 for week 11 with 1 game left
Chiefs, Saints and Vikings all had had 3 TEs each who outscored him
It was bad enough until I actually saw the numbers.TE37 for week 11 with 1 game left
Standard protocol is 6 years minimum.I wonder how many years have to pass before....you know....know what he is?TE37 for week 11 with 1 game left

Not sure if you are joking or not. Probably can't throw a blanket on everyone. I said early on that I didn't like Pitts' route running, but there is more to it than that I think. He obviously is a liability blocking and that plays into failure, but that doesn't touch surface of his problems. In the passing game Pitts doesn't have the hands or toughness to handle linebackers who rough him up. The old regime wanted a more traditional TE who could in-line block, so we all thought the new regime would be good for Pitts. The problem with that, even though they installed a Sean McVay’s system, it doesn't work for long developing, deep tight end routes. The Rams used TE Tyler Higbee to great effect during the Rams’ Super Bowl run, but his ADOT was 5.3 during the 2021 championship season. The Rams had very similar offensive sensibilities to Arthur Smith’s Titans when it came to TE usage, needing strong in-line blockers to bolster the run game, then using them to make contested catches under the linebackers. Pitts’ ADOT this season is 8.5, the lowest of his career — and he’s shown an inability to make any impact in the receiving game as a result. Pitts is not comfortable making contested catches against players he doesn’t feel physically dominant against, and this is resulting in a lot of drops.Standard protocol is 6 years minimum.I wonder how many years have to pass before....you know....know what he is?TE37 for week 11 with 1 game left

@SleeperNFL
Kyle Pitts has FIVE games this season with less than 30 receiving yards.
He’s currently the TE6.
Stoerner was injured and missed a week and he didn't at all seem to step into more blocking and try to make something of itThat's probably a big reason why his snap share has gone down in favor of TEs that are actually willing blockers. So want to drop him in my keeper league, but the fear of him turning it around on someone else's roster is paralyzing me.
I am guessing he’s pissed off his coaches as much as Cousins.Seriously, what did he do to piss off Cousins?
Depends how you define “played”.Wait he played in this game?
yeah, I was a bit surprised but Cousins was teaching him how to high point a football as he didnt know how to do it.Not sure if you are joking or not. Probably can't throw a blanket on everyone. Some of this was taken from https://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2024/10/2/24260226/kyle-pitts-falcons-bust-nfl, with my own thoughts added to it.
Is this the version where Pitts goes to another team, ideally in the same division?
That might be In pre-game warmup.
They have group therapy for that.I’ve never felt like I was so wrong on a single player in my entire life than I have been on him.
And yet I can’t quit him.![]()

In the off-season after his rookie year, I traded for him in a SF, 2pt TE premium league on Jun 1, 2022:I’ve never felt like I was so wrong on a single player in my entire life than I have been on him.

Gotta be a dumb and dumber reference in there somewhere. This is the year![]()
I am thinking he has a return to value but not the 1st round rookie pick but maybe a TE4-6 levelI’ve never felt like I was so wrong on a single player in my entire life than I have been on him.

So, good news, prepare for the bounce back next year!
I traded the 1.01 for him years ago, so essentially Breece Hall lol.In the off-season after his rookie year, I traded for him in a SF, 2pt TE premium league on Jun 1, 2022:I’ve never felt like I was so wrong on a single player in my entire life than I have been on him.

I just gave up on him (and AR15) before the trade deadline this year on Dec 5, 2024 on the way to winning the championship:
- Gave up Prescott, Dak DAL QB; Hooker, Hendon, 2023 FA QB (devy); Gray, Eric, 2023 FA RB (devy)
- Received Pitts, Kyle ATL TE; Year 2023 Round 2 Draft Pick; Year 2023 Round 3 Draft Pick
So, good news, prepare for the bounce back next year!
- Gave up Richardson, Anthony IND QB; Pitts, Kyle ATL TE; Year 2025 Round 1 Draft Pick (1.24)
- Received McBride, Trey ARI TE; Stafford, Matthew LAR QB

I know it's easy to joke about Kyle Pitts, but his career trajectory could be similar to Evan Engram's.
Promising rookie season with an aging veteran QB followed by injuries and poor QB play before a change of scenery.
Engram didn't fully break out until Year 6. Be patient.
Can we please get a welfare check on @david klugeDave Kluge

I was shockingly able to get him for a 2026 2nd only in a 16-team TE-P league.… I’m gonna fall for it again
… I’m gonna fall for it again
It really is pretty reasonable now.… I’m gonna fall for it again
I already am. He is my most drafted tight end in best ball. Only good thing is his price is so cheap that if he busts it won't kill my teams.
His last 9 weeks he was 18-183 and 1 score. That is less than 5 points per week PPR.Just read somewhere that the blocking TE was playing more snaps than Pitts in the latter part of last year.
I traded him for a third round pick so I guess I sold low. Used that pick to draft TeSlaa so I guess I bought high.
Got to take your swings.
