Good info but that outlook doesn't mention Andrews battled knee and shoulder injuries last year. I'm more concerned if those are 100% cleared up than if Andrews will return value.Fantasy Football 2023 Player Outlook
Andrews had a massive year in 2021 with personal bests by margins of 43 catches (107) and 509 yards (1,361), including the most productive stretch of his career while catching passes from backup QB Tyler Huntley. It was a much different story in 2022, when Andrews averaged 63.1 yards in the nine games for which he and Lamar Jackson both were healthy but then dropped to 49.2 yards in five regular-season games with Huntley taking most of the snaps. All five of Andrews' TDs came from Jackson, who inked a five-year extension with Baltimore this offseason and now has more help after the signing of WR Odell Beckham and drafting of WR Zay Flowers. That amounts to more target competition for Andrews, but he's still the most trusted of Baltimore's receiving options and could end up running more routes under new offensive coordinator Todd Monken, formerly the OC at Georgia. Kansas City's Travis Kelce remains in a league of his own, of course, but it's otherwise hard to name another tight end with a floor or ceiling higher than Andrews'.
The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec believes Mark Andrews “will remain Jackson’s go-to target” based on what he’s seen in training camp.
Andrews will face much stiffer target competition in 2023 than what he’s seen in any other year of his career. Still, the additions of Odell Beckham Jr. and Zay Flowers don’t figure to be enough to make Andrews any kind of an afterthought in Todd Monken’s offense. Currently going as the TE2 in most fantasy drafts, Andrews should be in line for yet another strong season in an offense that’s expected to be much more explosive.
Anyone concerned or know the full skinny on this injury? Hard to find any details besides, "it's not serious and he should start week one."BAL: Mark Andrews misses practice

Baltimore Ravens TE Mark Andrews (undisclosed) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Aug. 23, because of an undisclosed injury.
Our view: Head coach John Harbaugh said Andrews' injury is not considered serious. Fantasy GMs should keep an eye on him just in case.
The team isn't required to give details until next week so I wouldn't expect any before then.Anyone concerned or know the full skinny on this injury? Hard to find any details besides, "it's not serious and he should start week one."BAL: Mark Andrews misses practice

Ravens HC John Harbaugh said Mark Andrews (undisclosed) will resume practicing on Wednesday.
Nobody knows what’s going on with Andrews, but the Ravens tight end has missed six straight practices with his mystery injury. Despite the missed time, Harbaugh expects to have his veteran tight end back on Wednesday, as the Ravens begin prepping for Sunday’s Week 1 matchup against the Texans. It should go without saying, but Andrews is a must-start if active on game day.
I did exactly that. I’m playing Andrews if he’s playing. If he isn’t, Likely is close to a must start, so f the Ravens offense is rocking. Bye week is 13 so plenty of time to find other depth.Hypothetical, is this a contract sit in? He's 6th on the list now.
Or is this a season long questionable tag with some soft tissue - and if so - would any Andrews owner be wise to stash Likely if they don't like their current backup TE?
I normally always prioritize TE, but it didn't fall that way much, and I ended up with Njoku in a few leagues. He's probably top-5 by default at this point. What happened to the TEs? Literally insane how Kelce, Andrews, Waller and Kittle all just popped up hurt as soon as most drafts were over
I was aiming for the top TEs but missed out on them and ended up settling for Hockenson and Pitts.I normally always prioritize TE, but it didn't fall that way much, and I ended up with Njoku in a few leagues. Seems like Kittle should be playing at the very least.
Guys who settled for Higbee are feeling OK these daysWhat happened to the TEs? Literally insane how Kelce, Andrews, Waller and Kittle all just popped up hurt as soon as most drafts were over
I got lucky, Goedert, Engram and Hock are the TEs I ended up with everywhere.I normally always prioritize TE, but it didn't fall that way much, and I ended up with Njoku in a few leagues. Interesting, in the drafts I was doing, Hock was actually the TE3 or TE4 usually.I was aiming for the top TEs but missed out on them and ended up settling for Hockenson and Pitts.I normally always prioritize TE, but it didn't fall that way much, and I ended up with Njoku in a few leagues. I hate Pitts as I owned him last year, but at least I’m feeling less regerts.
Not sure if you guys have ever pulled a quad… but I have and yeah it sucks. Fml.
Pulled my quad playing lacrosse. I only drive Porsches. Obviously I don’t understand any of this. Lol.Not sure if you guys have ever pulled a quad… but I have and yeah it sucks. Fml.
sounds like someone is a ford ranger owner!!!! get yourself a dodge ram like a real made and pulling a damn yacht won't even be a problem!
Valid thought, it's his #1 guy, and new offenseDo you guys drop Lamar a few spots for this week due to this news or not really?
Nah. Andrews obviously wasn't going to be 100% if he had played, a healthy Likely isn't really a drop off. If this was last year sure but he has plenty of weapons to utilize.Do you guys drop Lamar a few spots for this week due to this news or not really?
Sure, but if you drafted Lamar, it's quite unlikely you have any other QB on your roster ranked close to as high???Do you guys drop Lamar a few spots for this week due to this news or not really?
i also have Tua because i was so meh on Lamar that I went 2nd QB early in case my hunch was right.. as of right now I should've followed that hunch. If he can't score against this team i'm not sure where the points are coming from.Sure, but if you drafted Lamar, it's quite unlikely you have any other QB on your roster ranked close to as high???Do you guys drop Lamar a few spots for this week due to this news or not really?
I don’t believe that’s true. I’ll wait to see them both on the field before I make any declarative statements like that.Injury aside, early signs are pointing to Zay Flowers being a problem for Andrews' production this year.
I agree it’s a wait and see, but Andrews has never had much of a receiving threat next to him like Flowers. That’s not to say Andrews still can’t be highly productive, but I can see a noticeable step down from a few years back. Not unlike what happened to Kittle several years ago when he wasn’t the only receiving sheriff in town anymore.I don’t believe that’s true. Mark Andrews (quad) practiced on Wednesday.
Andrews got in three limited sessions last week and was still forced to sit on Sunday, so his practice today doesn’t put him out of the woods yet. The biggest positive indicator will be when he gets his first full practice in. This session was likely another limited one. Fantasy managers spin the wheel with Isaiah Likely once again if Andrews isn’t able to return for Week 2, though there are better streaming options available in most leagues.
Mark Andrews (quad) practiced on Thursday.
Andrews has logged back-to-back practices to open the week, but the same could be said of him last week before the team ultimately decided to sit him. We may not fully know Andrew’s status until Sunday when the team announces its Week 2 inactives. If he’s unable to go, fantasy managers could look to Isaiah Likely as a streaming option, but his lone target in Week 1 left much to be desired.
Hollywood had 90 catches in 2021. That was Andrews best season. Might mean nothing, but there could easily be room for both.I agree it’s a wait and see, but Andrews has never had much of a receiving threat next to him like Flowers. Fair point, although they seemed to play different parts of the field - Hollywood generally the field stretcher and Andews doing the rest (short/up the seams). Flowers seems to be a guy they'll move around a lot. To your point though, if Monken elevates the passing offense overall, then there may indeed be enough for everyone to eat.Hollywood had 90 catches in 2021. That was Andrews best season. That season there were no other WR of note on the team.Hollywood had 90 catches in 2021. That was Andrews best season. Might mean nothing, but there could easily be room for both.
They didn't really use Hollywood that way that season. I have a lot of questions on whether OBJ or Bateman are quality WRs.That season there were no other WR of note on the team.Hollywood had 90 catches in 2021. That was Andrews best season. Might mean nothing, but there could easily be room for both.
This year they have OBJ & Bateman.
I’m skeptical there’s room for Flowers considering they now have 4 quality receivers.
Both are very good receivers who couldn’t stay healthy. My point stance that at the time Hollywood Brown was basically they’re only wide receiver. They didn't really use Hollywood that way that season. That team had rookie Bateman, and Sammy Watkins. Not sure current Bateman and OBJ are much better, if at all.
I bought him last week and instantly regret it. Tried selling him this week for a WR2 type (ridley, dk, Higgins, cooper). All were rejected. I have a bad feeling he's gonna be a dud all year.Sellhighbased on his name?
With the state of the TE market, I don’t think he’ll be a dud, but probably won’t return ADP value.I bought him last week and instantly regret it.
